Sportswriter Jason Whitlock discussed how growing up in Indianapolis was reminiscent of what would be an enclave of "Black Trump supporters," on the latest episode of Fox Nation's "Tucker Carlson Today," given their collective working-class roots and tough work ethic. "My mother was a factory worker, my dad didn't graduate high school. But eventually, he started a barbershop and then eventually a bar, tavern in the inner city -- like a Black ‘Cheers’," Whitlock told Carlson, in reference to the 1980s NBC sitcom based in a working-class Boston bar. "People find it confusing when I say it, but it's like I grew up around Black Trump supporters. They didn't know it, but they were just like Trump supporters -- working-class, worried about their families, just want to work hard and create space for themselves to be happy in America." Whitlock said he feels most at home around people of that proclivity, and that he fondly remembered his father's saloon in Indianapolis as a place to take some "elites" in the sportswriting world. The constant attacks have reduced him to tears.Matt Hawn has become a focal point of one of this past year's biggest racial controversies. The former public high school teacher in Tennessee was thrust into the national spotlight after he was fired from his tenured job for the way he taught students about White privilege. Hawn became one of the most prominent casualties in an ongoing debate over how racism and history should be taught to students in the US. His plight has divided people in his conservative, heavily White city near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. But Hawn's improbable personal journey is as dramatic as the headlines he's provoked. There is nothing in his background that suggests that he'd take such a public stand against racism. Hawn grew up in a White community and says he didn't have a single nonwhite classmate from kindergarten through high school. He says he was surrounded by people who used the N-word, flew Confederate flags and wore...

Fox Nation host Nancy Grace chastized a criminal profiler on her show Thursday for suggesting that the four teenagers arrested in the fatal stabbing of a young girl at a Louisiana Walmart were a product of "deprived" upbringings. Phil Chalmers, a counter-homicide trainer and criminal profiler, joined Grace on the latest episode of Fox Nation's "Crime Stories" which focused on the recent murder of a 15-year-old who was stabbed during a fight with several other girls inside a Walmart Superstore Jan. 23. The alleged attackers, whose ages range between 12 and 14 years old, had stolen weapons from the store, and can be seen bragging about the attack in a social media live stream. The victim was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.  Chalmers said the attack is consistent with CDC data indicating a troubling rise in suicide and homicide rates among young girls, many of whom "grow up in poverty, abuse, family breakdowns." Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell faces tough decisions about how to handle the impeachment trial of Donald Trump, after tacitly backing Trump's election fraud claims before finally denouncing him after the U.S. Capitol riot. An article in the New Yorker on Saturday examines McConnell's tense relationship with Trump since the November election, suggesting the Kentucky Republican was desperate to prevent Trump from pulling support from the GOP's two candidates in the January 5 Senate runoffs. 'He knew he had to keep the team together for Georgia,' a former Trump Administration official close to McConnell's circle told the magazine. 'For him, being Majority Leader was the whole ballgame. It's hard to overstate. It's pretty obvious that for McConnell one of the reasons he was so indulgent of Trump was Georgia.' After the Republicans lost both Georgia seats, and their Senate majority, at least 16 Republican senators would have to side with Democrats to secure an impeachment of Trump. McConnell has been cagey about how he will handle the trial, but a Republican insider told the New Yorker that Trump provoked the...

Sauropods — large, four-legged, long-necked dinosaurs — were born with a horn and binocular vision that disappeared as they matured, a study has found. Experts took 3D scans of a rare, 80 million-year-old, 1.2 inch wide fossil skull of an unhatched dinosaur that was found preserved inside its egg in Patagonia, Argentina. The team think that — had it actually hatched — the juvenile would have used its horn to help it crack its way out of its egg's shell, or for defence or foraging. The extraordinary fossil specimen represents the most complete and articulate skull found to date of any titanosaur — which were the world's largest-ever land animals. The largest of these giant plant-eating behemoths — such as Argentinosaurus and Patagotitan — would have grown to reach around 120 feet long.  A different site in Patagonia — Auca Mahuevo — was where sauropod dinosaur eggs were discovered for the first time, among a large nesting site, some 25 years ago. The provenance of the scanned egg, however, is not known, as it was illegally exported from Argentina before it came to the...
