SAN JOSE — Circle-A Skateboards and Coffee occupies a wavy building with glass walls and doors along South Third Street in downtown San Jose. Brightly colored shoes and skate decks adorn the walls and racks of baggy jeans and skate brands like Anti-Hero, Real and Krooked shirts are on display. The white ceiling, beams and furniture along with the natural light create an open and airy space in the coffee shop, as a wide range of music bumps through the speakers. Loyal customers stop by to just say “hey” or grab a cup of joe, and some are compelled to stay around and skate on the concrete strip outside. Since owner Bob Schmelzer opened Circle-A in 1997, it has become a staple in San Jose’s skateboarding community.  Schmelzer became a professional skateboarder in 1984 and toured the U.S. three times from the...

On September 6, as a preview of the IAA in Munich – to replace the Frankfurt Motor Show – a key vehicle for Dacia will be presented in society. Will be called Dacia Jogger and it will position itself as the largest and most capable family car of the brand. This seven-seater will be around 4.50 meters in length and will be positioned above the Dacia Duster in the range. In the absence of knowing its final design, we can predict that it will have design features of the conceptual Dacia Bigster. Now, what kind of vehicle will the Jogger be? I am not so clear that the Dacia Jogger is an SUV with all the law. According to the teaser image that the Romanian brand has just shown us, it seems a hybrid between a van, an SUV and a minivan. The brand emphasizes its enormous interior space and its seven seats, intrinsic characteristics of a vehicle more practical than a simple SUV. At the same time, delve into the adventurous side of the Dacia Jogger, designed for large...

Stepway LPG version The new Dacia Sandero, tested Less ‘low cost’ than ever, the new generation of Dacia Sandero achieved another important record in June. It became the best-selling car in Europe in July (considering the top 26 markets) ahead of the fireproof VW Golf. According to data from the consulting firm Jato Dynamics collected by Europa Press, the utility of the Romanian brand of the Renault Group registered 20,446 cars, for the 19,425 of the German compact. Third place went to the Toyota Yaris (18,858 units). The list with the 10 cars is completed by the VW Polo and T-Roc, with 17,343 units and 15,496 units, respectively; the hyundai tucson, with 14,883 units; the VW T-Cross (14,170 units); the Dacia duster (13,329), the Ford Puma (13,283); and the Peugeot 2008 (13,134 units). We recently took control of the Dacia sandero for two main reasons. The first is that the utility launched a new generation (the third) recently and we wanted to see how the changes would sit on it. The second is that it was crowned as the best-selling car in Spain in the past and atypical year 2020. Curiosity led us to question ourselves if these figures were really justified, which we try to clarify below. The first reason for buying the Dacia Sandero it is none other than its price. The Romanian brand has always been characterized by being a low cost, offering attractive rates to customers who are usually willing to give up some technology or quality. This becomes clear when entering the cabin of the Sandero, in which hard plastics are the keynote and does not show off of any kind. Although, what really stands out, is that it is not that far from the competition. In the general utility segment, neither are high levels of quality and luxury found on board. Considering that the new generation of...

Due to the various mandatory security and anti-pollution systems that any car for sale in the European Union must incorporate we find ourselves with increasingly high prices, which does not mean that there is still a wide range of low cost options. So to find what are the three cheapest new cars we can buy We have helped ourselves from our specialized website Quécochemecompro, obtaining in response the Dacia Sandero from € 8,756, the Fiat Panda € 9,014 and the Kia Picanto from € 9,500. Now, what does each one offer us and which one to choose? In general we are facing three very similar options by concept, since they are about versions of access of three urban with atmospheric mechanics of gasoline extremely modest and not at all abundant equipment. However, each of them has a different personality, from the commitment to trying to be a C segment in the case of the Dacia Sandero to the sportiness of the Kia Picanto, through the practicality of the urban Fiat Panda. In Quécochemecompro you can find our guide to buying...
Jose Manuel Gonzalez Torres In Spain it seemed impossible to dethrone the Seat León as the best-selling car of the year, but it has happened. The one in charge of usurping the throne from the national product was the Dacia Sandero, the ‘low cost’ utility that accumulated 24,035 registered units according to data from employers ANFAC, GANVAM and FACONAUTO. The pandemic also affected them, like everyone else, with a 29% reduction compared to the same data in 2019. However, in a period marked by uncertainty, the concept of rationality and “less for more” has taken hold. An instant that the firm has taken the opportunity to present its latest update, with new aesthetic details on the front, more equipment and less price. We will talk about the launch of the new Sandero in this article, so in this gallery we will focus on explaining the reason for its success. We have been able to be the temporary owners of a Dacia Sandero Stepway for a week, plenty of time to understand the reasons for your purchase. They basically...

03.22.2021 – 11:52 am As it could not be otherwise due to its name, Dacia has chosen this beginning of spring to open the reserves of its Spring city car. That’s right, and that’s how this affordable electric model looks, since it has an unparalleled starting price: 16,548 euros or 134 per month (Comfort version with financing and offer, for now, until the end of the month). The lack of supply is already affecting Dacia plants. In recent weeks, the eleven factories owned by the Groupe Renault car manufacturer around the world have suffered occasional stoppages and have assembled vehicles at idle speed due to the shortage of semiconductors. A situation that already hits other companies in the sector such as Volkswagen, Honda and Ford, which have even made a correction to their forecasts, since without this part the vehicles cannot leave the production lines. This has been confirmed by company sources to OKDIARY, which ensure that the most affected is the plant that the company has in Tanger -where the Dacia Sandero, Dacia Dokkers and Dacia Lodgy models are assembled- in which more than 350,000 vehicles are assembled a year on its two assembly lines thanks to the work of almost 13,000 workers. However, it is not the only one. The factory of Dacia in Mioveni (Romania) -where the new generations of Dacia Sandero and Sandero Stepway are produced- stopped its production on February 1 due to the shortage of electronic components that has put the...
Dacia Bigster Concept, a more refined and more capable car
Go further ! This is the new impetus that Luca de Meo wants to give to Dacia, Renault’s entry-level brand. According to the new boss of the French automotive group, the potential of this brand has been under-exploited, despite its success. To give even more power to this impetus, he decided to regroup the Romanian label with his Russian alter-ego Lada, within the same general management, led by Denis le Vot. A new SUV to relaunch the brand As for Renault, Dacia will have to be more offensive in the C segment. Until now, its range stopped at the Duster, an SUV straddling segments B and C. During the presentation of the Renaulution plan, Denis le Vot unveiled a concept car called the “Bigster”, which should prefigure the lines of a larger SUV of about 4.60 meters, or 30 cm more than the famous Duster … But the Bigster questions because on this configuration, Dacia could position itself on the very high end of the C segment since in comparison, a Peugeot 3008, a Renault Kadjar and even a...
Effects of the snowfall: a Renault ‘4 Cans’ humiliates a Dacia Duster
THE new Dacia Sandero is £7,995. I repeat, N-E-W. 6The new Dacia Sandero is just £7,995 but only if you pre-order before December 31 That’s box-fresh, uncontaminated, and includes three years’ free servicing and breakdown cover. Unbelievable, Jeff. But only if you pre-order before December 31. With Boris seemingly more concerned about the fish, who knows what will happen to new car prices after Brexit? They are only going to go one way. 6The Sandero is a half-price Renault Clio with a smart new interior For £99, the above deal is guaranteed, no matter what it might end up costing later. So I’d jump in now if you’re interested. So what about the car itself? I like it. It’s basically a half-price Renault Clio with Lamborghini lights and a smart new interior. And it drives like one too. It’s light and easy, with decent body control and mega front-end grip. 6The cabin is modern, spacious and comfy, with soft-touch panels and knurled switches copied from Bentley I’m genuinely surprised Renault has allowed it to be this good. Cut a Sandero...
