Chasing defender Tuta got himself in a tangle and could only watch on agonisingly as the Rangers man made no mistake past the onrushing keeper to send the huge army of travelling fans wild. That looked to be enough to secure Rangers a first European trophy since 1972 when they defeated Barcelona to lift the European Cup Winners' Cup. However, Frankfurt pressed forward in search of an equaliser and got their reward on 68 minutes when Rafael Borre pounced from close-range...
Getty Jalen Rasmey during the February 11, 2022 Super Bowl media day held at Thousand Oaks, California. As of Monday, April 18 at 11:25 a.m. PT, Jalen Ramsey of the Los Angeles Rams is no longer the league’s richest defensive back — not at $100 million with $71.2 million guaranteed. That title now belongs to Denzel Ward of the Cleveland Browns. First reported by ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Ward is officially in the NFL record books and will end up with more money in his account than the Super Bowl 56 champion Ramsey. “Browns are signing Pro-Bowl CB Denzel Ward to a 5-year, $100.5 million contract extension that includes $71.25 million guaranteed, per source. At age 24, Ward is the highest-paid CB in NFL history,” Schefter tweeted. “Tory Dandy of CAA Sports, who negotiated the contract, confirmed the deal to ESPN.” And that move sparked a strong take from the always verbose cornerback…then a response made by Ward right after. EVERTON are reportedly in the running to sign Juventus star Aaron Ramsey in the January transfer window. The Toffees have had a disappointing start to the season, losing seven out of 15 league games so far. Getty 1 Juventus are open to letting Ramsey go in the next transfer window However, Rafa Benitez is eager to turn things around and plans to make some key signings in January, starting with former Arsenal man Ramsey. The 30-year-old signed for Juventus in 2019 but his career in Italy did not take off as expected. He has only made five appearances so far this season and Massimiliano Allegri has not ruled out the possibility of selling him. Everton have lacked creativity in midfield recently which has contributed to their run of poor form. The addition of Ramsey could be a huge boost to the squad, especially given his experience in the Premier League. The Welshman made 262 league appearances for Arsenal, recording 40 goals and 46 assists. Most read in Sport BENN & INK Conor pays touching tribute to son with FACE...

According to the Mail, Ramsey wants to have returned to England by the time Wales potentially enter the World Cup qualifying play-offs in March. He won't be short of suitors in the Premier League. But they add that he will need to agree to a substantial wage cut from a reported £400,000-a-week at Juve. Ramsey will still have 18 months left to run on his lucrative deal by the time the January transfer window comes around. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ top-ranked scoring offense didn’t just win their marquee NFC divisional playoff matchup against Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey and the Rams’ top-ranked scoring defense Saturday. They dominated in a 32-18 win that advanced top seed Green Bay to the conference championship game next Sunday at Lambeau Field. The Packers hit their regular-season scoring average (31.8 points per game) while also racking up 484 total yards. The Rams, who allowed an average of 18.6 points per game, couldn’t contain Rodgers or Green Bay’s running game. BENDER: Road to Super Bowl in NFC ‘runs’ through Lambeau With incredible balance and great play-calling from coach Matt LaFleur, the Rams were left off-balance from the start. The Packers wasted no time in neutralizing Donald and keeping him from wreaking havoc up front, thanks to strong interior offensive line play. They undressed Ramsey in coverage by scheming to get go-to guy Davante Adams and the rest of their receivers open, often away from Ramsey. The Packers decided to go run-heavy out of the gate, knowing the Rams would be amped up...

A community-led task force on Wednesday unveiled four new art pieces that will cover the Depression-era art in the City Council/County Board chambers of the Ramsey County Courthouse in St. Paul. A group of residents and task force members met on the plaza outside the building to see the original artwork and hear the artists explain their pieces, before taking a tour inside. “Our purpose for this entire process … is to add new art that celebrates the people and progress of St. Paul and Ramsey County and to do so in a way that is inclusive of the entire community today in a way that the original murals could not be and are not,” said Chad Roberts, Ramsey County Historical Society president and task force member. At issue were four 22 feet tall and five feet wide original murals by artist John Norton that prominently depict white men — a voyageur, steamboat captain, railroad surveyor and laborer.
