Nine months ago, Tua Tagovailoa got into a halftime shouting match with the Miami Dolphins coach who didn’t trust him for much of anything. Sunday, he starts the next season with a new coach who anoints him for pretty much everything. That’s not just amazing progress, considering the only happening between these events involved Dolphins owner Steve Ross clumsily attempting to replace Tagovailoa for a second time. It’s a welcome, even necessary change, this switch from tough love to unconditional love. Tagovailoa deserves a head coach in his corner and an owner not plotting his latest replacement. Does that even need to be said? Tagovailoa also deserves a proven offense like the one new coach Mike McDaniel runs, and not the pop-gun offense with last year’s rotating play callers. He deserves a dynamic playmaker like Tyreek Hill replacing a group of receivers with the least separation in the league last year. “I’m most excited with the playmakers we have,’’ he said Wednesday afternoon. “Check the ball down, you never know what you’re going to get. Now you can take the...
Kevin Federline delved into his lack of public support for his ex-wife Britney Spears' battle to end her conservatorship in a teaser for an upcoming 60 Minutes Australia interview that was posted on Wednesday. In the teaser from the episode, which airs on Sunday, September 4, the 44-year-old former backup dancer said ultimately didn't get involved in her attempts to end the arrangement because he was focused on raising their sons, though the teaser doesn't make it clear why he thought the choices were incompatible. He previously revealed that the sons he shares with Britney — 16-year-old Sean and 15-year-old Jayden — had skipped her wedding to Sam Asghari and hadn't seen her in months, which he claimed was partly due to semi-nude photos she posted to Instagram since the end of her conservatorship.  Focused on family: Kevin Federline, 44, said he didn't assist his ex-wife Britney Spears, 40, in her attempts to end her conservatorship because he was focused on their 'boys,' according to a teaser for an upcoming 60 Minutes Australia interview In the brief clip, Federline admitted...

President Joe Biden on Wednesday mocked oil CEOs who complained about his criticism, saying he didn't know they'd get their feelings so hurt as he hinted he was open to a federal gas tax. Biden was asked about Chevron Chief Executive Michael Wirth, who wrote to Biden to say his administration was 'vilifying' the gas industry. 'He's mildly sensitive,' Biden quipped. 'I didn't know they'd get their feelings hurt that quickly.'  Earlier this month, Biden blasted oil companies for making record profits and urged them to increase oil production to alleviate gasoline prices. 'Your administration has largely sought to criticize, and at times vilify, our industry,' Wirth said in response in a letter addressed to President Biden. Chip Somodevilla/Getty Former President Donald Trump claims he didn’t ask for Congressman Mo Brooks’ (R-AL) help to overturn the 2020 election, despite his old ally’s claims to the contrary. Trump addressed a myriad of topics during his 45-minute interview with The Washington Post which was published Thursday —from defending his conduct on January 6th, to maintaining his power and influence within the GOP. Throughout the interview, Trump defended his false rhetoric against the 2020 election, and refused to let go of the Constitutionally-impossible idea that he could be reinstated to the White House in spite of his defeat. At one point, the conversation turned to Trump revoking his endorsement for Brooks, who has been struggling with his campaign for the U.S. Senate. Trump declared in March he was pulling his endorsement because Brooks didn’t do enough to push the Big Lie, and Brooks has counter-claimed that Trump repeatedly asked him for help in rescinding the election and having President Joe Biden removed from the White House so Trump can be reinstalled. Brooks says Trump continues to demand his help with...

He made a tough decision to leave his wife and three young children at their home in Hungary and return to his homeland to join the fight. He's now a member of the army reservists helping defend the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. As a Russian military convoy closes in on the city and dread hangs in the air, Stakhovsky, 36, says he is prepared to do whatever it takes. He told CNN's Brianna Keilar on Thursday that his goal is to help save Ukraine for its citizens and his children."I was born here, my grandparents are buried here, and I would like to have a history to tell to my kids," he said. THE INTERNET has completely trolled a woman and labeled her as “spoiled” after she complained about her engagement ring online. The woman claimed she had her boyfriend make a custom ring but it didn’t meet her expectations, so she wants a new one. 3A woman shared that she is nearly disgusted with her custom-made engagement ring because it's not exactly what she wanted 3She hoped for a ring with three purple or pink stones on it, but instead, she received a ring with one dark blue stoneCredit: Getty The woman, who shared her story on Reddit, said she and her boyfriend got engaged after dating for four years. She also explained that she had dreamed of her wedding and engagement ring since she was a kid, and made it very clear to her now-fiancé what she expected in a ring. “Around high school age, I drew out an engagement ring that I thought I'd like.  “When we started dating and decided we loved each other, I showed him my sketch and he was excited because he said that was what...
Prince Andrew's formal legal response to allegations made by Virginia Roberts in her civil case against him has been described as 'defiant.' A more jaundiced assessment might characterise it as vague and sometimes baffling. In his answers and 'affirmative defences', there are 41 straight denials and a further 40 assertions that the prince 'lacks sufficient information' to admit or deny other claims she makes. Amid incredulity at some of the responses, legal experts questioned the wisdom of his insistence of a trial by jury which they suggested may be a bluff 'to buy time'. A court-set deadline required the prince to answer Roberts' original complaint by Wednesday. A more detailed response may presumably follow. But given the wealth of evidence already in the public domain concerning Andrew's relationship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, a number of his statements will still cause puzzlement. On two occasions the wording in his legal defence is ambiguous enough to suggest that he denies Maxwell was ever a 'close friend' or that she introduced him to Epstein.  Yet during his disastrous...
A MOM who thought her toddler loved meeting a mall Santa discovered he was signaling for help after looking at a snap of his encounter. Kerry Spencer had taught her kids to baby sign before they could speak so they could communicate while they were infants. 1The toddler was pictured using his baby version of ASL to sign ‘help’ to his mumCredit: Twitter But she never expected one-year-old son, Samuel, to use his skill to send out an S.O.S while sitting on Santa’s lap. Terrified, the toddler resorted to using his baby version of ASL to sign “help” to his mum while the photographer at the Provo Town Center Mall in Provo, Utah, snapped a picture. Kerry told TODAY parents: “I was standing to the side when the pic was taken and actually didn’t see that he was signing for help until I saw the photo. “Poor buddy didn’t love Santa very much, ever really. So we didn’t try to get him to go much after that.”  For several years now, Kerry has posted the hilarious photo of Samuel on...

The American man made a bizarre decision to hold up a California Round stingray on a night-time fishing trip as he found out why it has garnered its name. 2He initially began to present the stingray to the camera 2But it stole a show as it pinched him leaving him in a bundle on the floor A few seconds into the now-viral Reddit video, the fish can be seen fighting with the man, giving him a sort, sharp bolt from its tail. The man – or idiot, at this point – launches the ray back into the water, letting out a high-pitched scream in the process. He can then be seen writhing around in pain on the floor, continuing to yell in pain. Watching on, his friend asks: "Did it bite you, did it sting you?" By COLLEEN SLEVIN, Associated Press DENVER (AP) — A Colorado police officer fired for ignoring the cries for help from a Black woman riding in his cruiser upside down while restrained said Thursday he did not know she had fallen off the back seat into that position and, based on his experience, he did not believe she was in trouble. During a civil service commission hearing over whether he should get his job back, former Aurora police officer Levi Huffine said he was sorry for what happened to Shataeah Kelly, whom he arrested on Aug. 27, 2019, after she allegedly refused to stop punching a woman in a park. Huffine said he placed his body camera in the back of the car for a 21-minute drive to jail partly to protect himself from Kelly, who had accused officers of targeting her for her race.
