A SKINCARE expert has revealed the biggest mistake people make before heading to sleep - and not only is it doing more harm than good but also costing you loads of cash. Everyone has their own, perfectly curated skincare routine - some might go heavy with hyaluronic acid multiple times a day, whilst others choose to scrub their face every morning. 3The expert explained why using a moisturiser before sleep is a bad ideaCredit: Tiktok/@doctorgould 3Do you use moisturiser at night-time?Credit: Tiktok/@doctorgould Despite the differences, it's pretty safe to say that there is one stop we all agree on - incorporating moisturiser in out night-time routine. However, according to one expert, this is a major mistake that could actually be doing more harm than good - and also cost you a lot of money. The guru, Doctor Gould, took it to social media to explain why using moisturiser before bedtime might not be a good idea. ''Everyone out there goes to bed at night, they go their bathroom, they clean their faces and then they apply a thick layer of...
THERE'S nothing worse than hearing the whirring noise that indicates a blocked sink. And let's face it, no one wants to fork out on a plumber. After all, they can be very pricey. 1An anonymous woman, from the UK, took to a Mrs Hinch-inspired cleaning group and asked for advice on how to unblock her drains. Pictured, stock imageCredit: Getty But luckily, there's no need to worry any more because Mrs Hinch fans have the perfect solution - and it costs just 65p. As reported by The Express, the initial post that sparked the conversation read: "What can I use to unblock my bathroom sink?" And the woman wasn't short of answers as cleaning fans flooded to the comments section with suggestions - and there was one stand out answer, soda crystals. “Use soda crystals and vinegar,” advised one. A second penned: “Soda crystals and a kettle of hot water down the drain.” A third commented: “Use soda crystals and hot water.” FABULOUS BINGO: Get a £20 bonus & 30 free spins when you spend £10 today Meanwhile, a...
Even if you love sex, it’s usual to have one or two things you’re not so thrilled about. Whether it’s giving oral sex that makes you gag or being bored rigid by intercourse that seems to last for days, we all have our pet sex peeves. Thing is, most can be easily fixed with a few practical tricks and tweaks. Here’s my solutions to the most commonly complained about sex situations – and what to do if you simply can’t bear to go there. British sex expert Tracey Cox reveals how you can make your least favourite sex acts less tedious and the swaps you can turn to if you really cannot hack it. Stock picture  GIVING HIM ORAL SEX Usually, it’s the smell, swallowing or gagging that people dislike and all are fixable. Turn a shower into foreplay: If he’s not scrupulously clean use the soap as a lubricant to masturbate his penis. If he’s uncircumcised, pull the foreskin back very gently and wash underneath.  If a shower isn’t doable, make it a ‘thing’ that you both wash your bits...
AMERICANS have hit their tipping point in the kitchen, as nearly half feel “drained” thinking about prepping their next meal, according to new research. A survey of 2,000 Americans uncovered how their relationship with cooking has evolved since early 2020, finding that people want to spend less than 25 minutes cooking a meal, from prep to ready time. Still, many people take about an hour to prepare one meal. 3Americans feeling stressed about meal prepping at homeCredit: Getty 3Many people picked up cooking and baking skills during the pandemicCredit: Getty That’s why more than one-third said their patience in the kitchen is at an “all-time low” (39 percent). A survey conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Home Chef showed that 45 percent of Americans are too busy to cook, and being in the kitchen is the last thing on their minds. While more than one-third of people (35 percent) feel that the pandemic has exhausted their love for cooking over the past year, three in four feel confident in their cooking skills (77 percent). And the pandemic had its highlights for many Americans...

While he can practice with the team, Irving cannot play in games at the Barclay’s Center because New York City has a vaccine mandate and Irving remains unvaccinated. A week out from the start of the season, this creates a practical problem for Nets’ coach Steve Nash: How does he use Irving? Having one of his three stars be a part-time player will be disruptive to Nash’s rotations. This week team leaders Kevin Durant and James Harden are set to meet with owner Joeseph Tsai and GM Sean Marks (among others) to discuss Irving and his status for the season, reported Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. One option: Bring Irving off the bench in a sixth man role. Nash told reporters Sunday it is on the...
By MARC LEVY, Associated Press HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania state government is expected to receive more than $7 billion from the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 rescue package making its way through Congress, or almost one-fifth of its operating costs this year, with some warning that the one-time aid should be used only for one-time costs. Many across state government were still trying to determine Tuesday exactly what sort of restrictions are on the money and suggested that they may not know for certain for days after the bill is signed into law. The estimated $7.3 billion coming to Pennsylvania state government dwarfs the roughly $2.5 billion deficit projected for state government next year by the Independent Fiscal Office, a legislative agency. Rising demand for long-term nursing care for a growing number of elderly residents is a key cost driver. “We are eagerly awaiting final passage of this relief package that will provide desperately needed aid for families, businesses, and communities in Pennsylvania,” Gov. Tom Wolf's office said in a statement. “Following passage, the federal government will provide states with guidance...
WHATSAPP has updated its desktop app so users can make voice and video calls via their computer. The feature is compatible with Windows and macOS. 2The WhatsApp video call feature is avaliable on Mac or Windows PCsCredit: WhatsApp WhatsApp revealed the feature in a recent blogpost. It said: "We're excited to announce that private and secure one-to-one voice and video calls are now available on WhatsApp’s desktop app. "Answering on a bigger screen makes it easier to work with colleagues, see your family more clearly on a bigger canvas, or free up your hands to move around a room while talking. "To make desktop calling more useful, we made sure it works seamlessly for both portrait and landscape orientation, appears in a resizable standalone window on your computer screen, and is set to be always on top so you never lose your video chats in a browser tab or stack of open windows. 2It's easy to move your WhatsApp chat to a laptopCredit: Alamy "Voice and video calls on WhatsApp are end-to-end encrypted, so WhatsApp can’t hear or see...
Confession: I’ve always hated self-help books. I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all guide to being a better, smarter, fitter, richer, happier, more successful person. I don’t believe in love at first sight and I’m not even sure monogamy is the best choice for everyone. And, like almost all of us, I’ve had my heart broken on several occasions. Not the classic CV of a love guru then. But I do believe in science. I have a degree in neuroscience and I have spent most of my working life as a health journalist. Over the past 15 years of writing about the brain, I’ve come to the realisation that it has made me an accidental expert on all manner of self-help topics — including how to find, and keep hold of, a lasting, loving relationship. If only it had dawned on me earlier. It’s that time of year! For many of us, there is a nip in the air and snow in the forecast. That can only mean one thing: It’s soup season! There really is nothing better than a slow-cooked pot of soup simmering all day on the stove or in a crockpot. Well, with the possible exception of an Instant Pot, which speeds up the process and also gives you knock-out results in a fraction of the time.  Here are six of my favorite soups or stews. I hope that you’ll share your favorite recipes below so we can refer back to this post time and time again this winter and beyond.  Bon appetit! Onto some my souperb favorites, in no particular order. Ham and Bean Soup This one hits me right in the comfort food hotspot. With a smoked pork hock as the foundation, Great Northern white beans and the usual vegetables of onions, carrots, and celery, this soup has never let me down. Delicious to the last drop. And trust me, this is one where the leftovers never go to waste.  ...
MANCHESTER UNITED are still in control of their Champions League future but the 3-1 home defeat to Paris Saint-Germain means it’s 'squeaky-bum time' now. After impressive victories against PSG away and RB Leipzig at home, United now find themselves level on points with both teams and could miss out on a place in the knockout stages.   4Woodward claims he will back Solskjaer next summer - but the boss might not last that longCredit: Reuters 4Man Utd could be eliminated at the Champions League group stage with defeat to RB LeipzigCredit: Getty Images - Getty United are in this position because of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s failure to make the correct decisions during the defeat against PSG.   Fred should have seen red for a headbutt and escaped with a yellow card, but it was at that moment that the manager should have acted. Solskjaer needed to either have the midfielder removed or have waited until half-time at the latest and subbed him.   Prior to Fred’s dismissal there were signs that United could score again and go on and win the...
The Apple Watch Series 6 is officially out, with the latest entry to Apple’s smartwatch lineup adding new features like a blood oxygen sensor and a brighter display. But the company has once again punted on a long-overdue addition to the Apple Watch: support for the universal Qi wireless charging standard. It’s an incredibly frustrating limitation to the product, one that ensures that you can only use Apple’s chargers to recharge the device. More importantly, it means that you can’t use a standard wireless charging pad, despite the fact that Qi is used almost universally across the tech industry. Even Apple uses Qi charging for its iPhones and AirPods. Just not the Apple Watch. Since the original Apple Watch was released in 2015, Apple has used one type of charger: a proprietary magnetic charging puck. And while the company does allow third-party companies to develop their own versions of Apple’s chargers and integrate them into their own products (while paying a licensing fee, of course, to Apple’s Made for iPhone program), today’s Apple Watch cables are virtually unchanged from...
Password management is basically a nightmare. Making them, remembering them and having to create a new one when they expire when all you want to do is log in. Then there’s always some security disaster making us have to reset our passwords again. On top of all that, it seems like every time we buy a lightbulb we have to make a new account of some kind. Nowadays, remembering every single password is impossible. This all feels overwhelming, which is why so many people give up on password security before they even start. And old (bad) habits die hard, like using the same password for everything (or never changing them). Worse, many people will make the simplest, most hacker-friendly passwords around, like “123456.” This house of cards is destined to come down in the worst ways, like through hacked video call accounts, identity theft, drained bank accounts, or hijacked email and social media profiles. It doesn’t have to be this way. Turns out, you can now be lazy, cranky and stay ahead of account hijackers, thieves, and creeps just by...
