Highland Park shooter Bobby Crimo III was left in a hot car by his mom for 27 minutes as a toddler - with his mother later convicted over the incident. The disturbing 2002 incident was one of multiple brushes with the law Crimo's mom Denise Pesina and dad Bob Crimo Jr had with cops prior to Monday's massacre in Chicago that killed seven. It is unclear if the hot car incident left Crimo, now 21, with any physical or mental injuries that may have ultimately led to the horrific shootout.   Police were also called to his family's home 10 times, to reports of domestic violence. Those incidents included Denise Pesina allegedly attacking her husband with a screwdriver and shoe after he berated her looks.   The report details nine instances cops were called to the Crimo family home in Highwood between 2010 and 2014, often to address physical disputes between the youth's mother and father, Robert Crimo Jr. and Denise Pesina. During one drunken altercation in August 2010, Crimo Jr. told police responding to a domestic abuse call  that Pesina had struck him...

Iran has reported the death of another colonel of the elite Quds force of its Revolutionary Guards, the second in two weeks from the unit which oversees Iran's military operations abroad. Colonel Ali Esmailzadeh died during an 'incident in his residence' days ago in the city of Karaj, some 19 miles northwest of the capital of Tehran, reported the official IRNA news agency, citing an informed source.  It did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding Esmailzadeh's death, but denied reports that the colonel was assassinated. The denial comes as other news channels close to the Guard said Esmailzadeh fell from his rooftop or balcony. Esmailzadeh's death came just weeks after two unidentified gunmen on a motorbike shot Colonel Hassan Sayyad Khodaei, 50, five times in a car in front of his residence in Tehran on May 22.  Colonel Ali Esmailzadeh died during an 'incident in his residence' days ago in the city of Karaj, some 19 miles northwest of the capital of Tehran, reported the official IRNA news agency, citing an informed source RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next ...

HOUSTON (AP) — While Deshaun Watson’s NFL career has resumed with the Cleveland Browns after grand juries declined to indict him on any criminal charges over sexual misconduct allegations, his legal problems remain far from over. Lawsuits filed in Houston by 22 women who have accused him of sexual assault and harassment remain unresolved, with no trial date set. Watson has denied any wrongdoing, saying last month he has “never assaulted, disrespected or harassed any woman in my life.” Tony Buzbee, the attorney for the 22 women, said while his clients have been disheartened that Watson is able to participate in NFL activities amid his legal troubles, the attorney is focused on collecting evidence, including depositions of the quarterback, in anticipation of going to trial in civil court. “All this other stuff surrounding is just a bunch of noise because my singular focus is preparing the cases to be tried and I intend to win them,” Buzbee said. But Rusty Hardin, Watson’s attorney, said it would be “ludicrous” for Watson to not be allowed to resume playing...
Vladimir Putin's barbaric invasion of Ukraine has suffered another devastating blow after his force's death toll rose to 19,500 according to Kyiv estimates. Russia has only admitted 1,351 of its troops have died fighting in Ukraine since Putin invaded on February 24, a fraction of the figure estimated by Ukraine's armed forces. The catastrophic death toll comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky defended his criticism of NATO and the UN, saying he has had enough of diplomacy with Vladimir Putin. Zelensky told CBS 60 minutes on Sunday: 'When you are [working] at diplomacy, there are no results. All this is very bureaucratic. That's why the way I'm talking to them is absolutely justifiable. I don't have any more lives [to give]. I don't have any more emotions. 'I'm no longer interested in their diplomacy that leads to the destruction of my country. A lot of countries have changed their mind about Ukraine and about our people. But I think we've paid too high price for that.' It comes amid warnings from British intelligence chiefs that Putin's troops could use white phosphorous munitions in...

The Clinton-appointed judge who threw out Sarah Palin's defamation suit against The New York Times while the jury was still deliberating the case claimed jurors 'will not know about my decision.' US District Judge Jed Rakoff defended his premature decision to scrap the libel case Monday after ruling Palin's legal team failed to produce evidence that The Times acted with 'actual malice' when publishing factual inaccuracies about the former Republican vice presidential candidate in a 2017 op-ed piece titled 'America’s Lethal Politics.'  'I certainly considered the possibility that I should wait until after the jury had rendered its verdict in this case, but the more I thought about it over the weekend, the more I thought that was unfair to both sides. We’ve had very full argument on this; I know where I’m coming out,' Rakoff said.  Rakoff brushed off backlash from legal experts who said his decision will influence the jury, saying he has instructed the jury to avoid all press coverage of the case. 'They, of course, will not know about my decision,' said the judge, who was appointed...

Law firm Peters Murdaugh Parker Eltzroth and Detrick (PMPED) has reported Alex Murdaugh to the police for his alleged misappropriation of more than $1million in company money. It is the latest in a string of puzzling events involving the family dynasty after the South Carolina legal heir, whose wife and son were shot dead in June, checked himself into rehab on Monday for what is believed to be an opioid addiction after claiming he had been 'shot in the head' on Saturday.  Murdaugh stepped down from PMPED in Hampton, South Carolina, on Friday after being urged to do so by the firm's bosses.  Details of the alleged fraud have not yet been made public, but the findings of a forensic accounting team hired by the law firm reportedly discovered the misuse of funds amounts to millions of dollars being squandered. The findings led the law firm, which was founded by Murdaugh's family, to file an official police report. 'It is a ton of money. It is over $1 million,' a legal source told The Raleigh Observer.  Meanwhile, Murdaugh's attorney Jim...

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Matthew Stafford has had four months to acclimate himself to the Los Angeles Rams, but the fresh start he has after 12 seasons with the Detroit Lions definitely hit home Sunday. Instead of reporting to the Lions’ hotel in Dearborn, Michigan, Stafford glanced to his left and saw the Pacific Ocean in the distance as Rams quarterbacks and rookies reported. “It’s a bunch of new experiences for me — where we’re playing, where I’m living, my teammates and coaching staff,” he said. “It’s definitely invigorating. It’s a challenge for me and something that I’m looking forward to. “Not many people in my position get the chance to move to teams that have had a bunch of recent success, and I’m just excited to be a part of it.” Stafford, the top overall pick in the 2009 draft, spent 12 seasons in Detroit but requested a trade during the offseason after another coaching change. The Rams traded Jared Goff, two first-round draft picks and a third-round selection to Detroit for Stafford when the new league...
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex today sensationally hit back at claims that Prince Charles bankrolled them with a 'substantial sum' in the months following Megxit. Royal accounts made public for the first time yesterday showed the future king continued to fund Prince Harry and Meghan Markle until summer 2020 from a £4.4million Clarence House pot used to support his two sons and their families. This contradicted what Harry told Oprah Winfrey in March when he said he stopped getting financial support from his family in the 'first quarter' of last year. He even claimed he and his wife were reduced to living off what 'my mother had left me'.  But Harry and Meghan's friend and trusted journalist Omid Scobie tweeted a clip of the Oprah interview this afternoon along with an attempt at a clarification. Mr Scobie said: 'Despite some confusing reports, Prince Charles and Prince Harry's timelines for the period the Sussexes' financial support ended are the same. Wall Street Journal White House reporter Michael Bender has a book coming out in August titled Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost, referencing the false statement Trump made late in election night. A new report from Vanity Fair details some of Bender’s new reporting, including how the then-president apparently asked during an Oval Office meeting, “How am I losing in the polls to a mental retard?” Trump also apparently believed that Biden would be replaced with another candidate, like Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama, because of what Dick Morris was telling him. “The president, meanwhile, had often complained that his early attack on [Elizabeth] Warren had damaged her presidential bid, which he regretted because he viewed her as an easier opponent than Biden,” Bender writes. “Now he worried that a heavy blitz of attack ads would hasten the secret plot being hatched by Democrats, and his mind...

A new poll of registered voters has seen President Donald Trump's support slip further behind Joe Biden, following bombshell reports that accused Trump of disparaging fallen troops and publicly downplaying the threat of coronavirus.  The Yahoo News/YouGov poll conducted from September 9 to 11 shows Biden leading Trump by 10 percentage points among registered voters, up from 6 points following the Republican convention. It follows highly negative articles about Trump, including one on September 3 in the Atlantic claiming that he had called fallen troops 'losers', and a tape released by Bob Woodward on September 9 revealing Trump admitting in February that he was publicly downplaying the seriousness of coronavirus. The poll found that the negative coverage appeared to be eroding Trump's support. RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next Trump administration officials interfered with CDC reports... Advocacy organizations representing millions of veterans across the United States voiced disgust and outrage late Thursday in response to reports from multiple news outlets detailing how President Donald Trump has repeatedly disparaged American soldiers killed or wounded in war as “suckers” and “losers” in private while publicly presenting himself as the unrivaled champion of the nation’s service members. The Atlantic, citing anonymous sources with direct knowledge of the president’s comments, reported that Trump in 2018 canceled a scheduled visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris “because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead.” “This is not surprising, nor is it the first time President Trump has attacked veterans, but it is a new low, even for Trump.” —Will Goodwin, VoteVets “In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, ‘Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers,” according to The Atlantic. “In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800...

Three TikTok stars with a combined following of nearly 38 million have disclosed to DailyMail.com that they intend to quit the app and move to rival Triller, amid mounting fears the video-sharing platform could be used by China to spy on Americans. Josh Richards, Griffin Johnson and Noah Beck said they came to a collective decision to slowly withdraw from TikTok a few months ago after becoming aware of reports the app’s Beijing-based parent company, ByteDance, could be sharing user data with the Chinese government. The concerns of the three viral video creators have also been shared by numerous government officials and lawmakers in recent weeks, leading President Trump to announce Wednesday that the US is considering banning the social media platform all together. ‘Obviously it made us feel a bit unsafe about the app we were using,’ Josh Richards said of the data-sharing reports. ‘But it was more than just how we felt. We wanted out audience to be watching our content on an app that’s safe.’ Determined to find out more about how TikTok operates, the three creatives...
