A Dodge Charger muscle car was filmed spinning donuts around a cop car outside Downtown Philadelphia's famous city hall Saturday night.    The shameless act of hooliganism was snapped by an onlooker from the window of a nearby tall building just before midnight, with the car screeching around the Ford police cruiser multiple times as passengers sat on the vehicle's open windows.    'No f****** way,' onlookers could be heard yelling as the car drives by. 'Oh sh**, oh sh**.' Another onlooker was filmed clambering onto the cop car's bonnet moments later.  Despite the dangerous behavior, Philly PD did not make any arrests. Shortly before they arrived, the same group were filmed spinning donuts on the wide intersection outside Philadelphia City Hall as their cronies blocked traffic,   Some set off fireworks as the cars passed by, but miraculously did not hit any onlookers. 'We really lawless as sh**,' one onlooker titled their video.  Cops were eventually able to move the racers on and restore the normal flow of traffic.    Philadelphians could later be seen dancing on top of the cop cars before...

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell began her professional dance career with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago almost 30 years ago, and has now returned as their new artistic director."As a dancer, as a little girl from Baltimore who just wanted to grow up and be in a Michael Jackson video, to have the ability to say that I'm leading a dance company is insane!" she said. But it's not as far-fetched as she'd have you believe. After leaving Chicago, Fisher-Harrell joined the famed Alvin Ailey Dance Theater in New York City. There she was a principle dancer and protégé of the legendary Judith Jamison."Such a huge, statuesque figure anyway. That was my boss. I got the chance to work with her on a daily basis," Fisher-Harrell recalled. After retiring from dancing, she utilized those lessons as the director of the Ailey Camp in Baltimore, and as professor of dance at Towson University. She returns now to Chicago at a challenging time for Hubbard Street Dance."We had our school close down, that was difficult. We sold our building," she said. "But COVID has been...
CHATHAM — Doncell Richard hasn’t been able to sleep since a shooting wounded three teens visiting his dance studio Sunday. The 30-year-old owner of Astronautflee Dance Studio, 211 E. 79th St., plays the events of the night in his head over and over, wondering why his studio was targeted. Now, Richard is looking to move his studio away from 79th Street. Fellow dance teacher Barbie Jones launched a GoFundMe on Richard’s behalf to aid in his relocation efforts. Richard was hosting his weekly dance battle — a Sunday night tradition that is part celebration, part fundraiser for students unable to pay dues — when someone fired shots outside the studio, sending dozens of kids scrambling for safety. A 14-year-old girl was shot in her shoulder, an 18-year-old man was shot in his torso and a 19-year-old man was shot multiple times in his abdomen. All three were regulars at the studio, and they came out that night to support friends and relatives who are part of Richard’s dance troupe. Police are investigating, and no one has been arrested. Astronautflee...

During a Thursday appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the A Teacher star, 37, shared a story that illustrated how much of a perfectionist Bell, who starred in Billy Elliot as a child, can be when it comes to dancing. “He dances every day,” she said of her husband, with whom she shares a 1-year-old daughter. “But now that there’s kids, he dances like a dad. I’ll be doing my lesson and he’ll dance by the screen in the background. In addition to attacking an occupied apartment building and dental office, as The Daily Wire reported early Tuesday, agitators in Portland also held a “block party” outside the home of Portland mayor Ted Wheeler, calling on Wheeler to resign and blaming Wheeler for ongoing unrest — unrest that, last week, likely resulted in the death of a “right-wing” counterprotester. Demonstrators did the “Macarena” in the street outside Wheeler’s condominium, the Portland Mercury reported Tuesday, and trotted out a person dressed as a giant teddy bear, labeled “Tear Gas Teddy” — a reference to Portland police’s use of tear gas on protesters, something last night’s demonstrators clearly blame on the mayor. The “party” was designed to mark Wheeler’s birthday, protesters said. Protesters have arrived outside Ted Wheeler’s apartment building on NW 10th and Glisan. They are among 20 strays he has rescued in the Philippines. Maybe he’s starting his own Pet Shop Boys. Jeric, who works as a teacher and visual artist, said: “We spend a lot of time playing with my dogs on my breaks from work.  “I work in the city and can come home only on weekends. My family takes care of my dogs with two hired helpers. It is during this playtime where I explored taking pictures of the dogs for sharing.  “And while I’m away, I would just browse my captures and share them on social media. I’m not a trained photographer and just tried to learn my way with loads of playtime, treats, good timing and fast setting for my old camera. ...
