Fox News’ Robert Gray withstood alarming storm conditions in order to report from Fort Myers, FL — as Hurricane Ian is about to make landfall. Authorities have been warning of Ian’s approach as the near-Category 5 storm is poised to slam Florida with heavy rains, powerful gusts, and flooding in certain areas of the state. As Fox Business’ Neil Cavuto covered Ian’s path on Wednesday, he took a report from Gray, who explained the “conditions deteriorating” and the devastation that has already happened in the region. “I’ve got a helmet on because there is debris flying everywhere here,” Gray reported. “We’ve seen garbage cans fly, parts of trees. You name it, it is coming. Literally coconuts from palm trees as well. There is nothing safe out here.” As Gray showed the blustering winds and the tree fragments scattered around him, he explained that the power in the area has started to go out. The storm progressively intensified throughout the report as Gray explained “it is tough to even speak.” “As we take the wrath of Ian coming into Fort Myers...
Infowars founder Alex Jones was grilled on the stand Thursday for his comments about Judge Barbara Bellis and the entire defamation trial, with the plaintiff’s team putting meme images from the conspiracy site on screen. On the seventh day in of Jones’s second Sandy Hook defamation trial, attorney Chris Mattei confronted the far-right host about his conspiracy theories in general, including his website and podcast commentary about the lawsuit itself. “Ever since this trial started, you’ve been calling it a kangaroo court yourself, right?” Mattei asked Jones. “And you’ve called this judge a tyrant, correct?” Jones agreed he has, and when asked if he uses the term tyrant a lot, Jones said, “only when they act like it.” “One way that you’ve been conveying to your audience that Judge Bellis has been acting like a tyrant is by showing her with lasers coming out of her eyes, right? You know you did that?” asked Mattei. “I didn’t direct that, the first time I saw it was in court,” said Jones. This image from his show was then shown on screen....

Poor Meghan. That's what we're supposed to say, isn't it? Back in the UK this week, one wonders which sympathy card she'll play next. After all, every interview she gives centres on the 'woe is me' mantra. Clutch your ethically-sourced pearls and reach for the tissues while she sits in her multi-million pound house, surrounded by staff and security. How does she get through the day? In all seriousness, I do wonder if she can really believe she's so hard done by and that the average person on the street would have any sympathy? Can she really be so insulated against the plight of ordinary people that she doesn't think she's coming across as phenomenally out of touch and self-obsessed? Meghan and Harry pictured during their bombshell interview with Oprah. Dr Max Pemberton questions: 'In all seriousness, I do wonder if she can really believe she's so hard done by and that the average person on the street would have any sympathy?' I'm sure she's had struggles in her life, just as everyone has. I don't doubt that marrying into...
It was a night to remember for all those present and those watching at home as 40-year-old Serena Williams was able to summon up the fortitude to win her second round-match at the US Open over world No. 2 Anett Kontaveit.   Williams seemed to turn back the clock, putting on a brilliant performance in the first set, struggling in the second and then coming out of the locker room to dominate the third set with a final score of 7-6, 2-6, 6-2.  The occasion was one of Williams' best performances this season, with the third set in particular a point of note as Kontaveit faltered and Serena got stronger. So what was it in the bathroom break at Flushing Meadows that got Serena to that point?  A reporter asked Serena if she did anything during her trip to the washroom that helped focus her efforts for her dominant final set.  Serena Williams continues writing the story book after a second round win on Wednesday  Serena Williams on what she did in the bathroom to come back in the third set...
A woman has detransitioned after identifying as a transgender man for 15 years - due to experiencing 'nausea and heart palpitations when taking testosterone'. Singer Cat Cattinson, 30, from Santa Cruz, Northern California, grew up as a female but identified as male from the age of 13. She started to transition to become a man in March 2020 after spending years struggling with gender dysphoria; she took testosterone which saw her voice drop and she went by the name of Tony. Cat had planned to have her breasts removed via surgery - but she soon began to feel nauseous and experience heart palpitations when taking the testosterone, which she was prescribed through Planned Parenthood. As a singer, she was also worried she would lose her 'high pitched' voice, so she chose to stop transitioning and stopped the injections in September 2020. It was then that she realized she was happier as a female - so she decided to fully detransition - and has since said she's surprised by how quickly she was given testosterone, revealing it didn't require any tests or therapy. Vladimir Putin's state television propagandists have unleashed a new rant about launching nuclear weapons in response to Western weapons being sent to Ukraine. Vladimir Solovyov, also known as 'Putin's voice', said Western deliveries of long-range weapons that could potentially strike into Russian territory means it is only a matter of time before nuclear war breaks out between Russia and the West. 'Everything is moving in that direction,' the host of the Russia1 sabre-rattling talk show 'Evening Vladimir Solovyov' told viewers and other pundits in the studio. The escalating war in Ukraine - which began when Putin launched an invasion of the country on February 24 - meant 'we're descending into bloody pages of world history,' Solovyov said, in a clip shared and translated by Russian Media Monitor. 'I hope we'll live through this,' he said gravely on channel Russia1. 'If everything keeps progressing the way it is, only a couple of mutants in Lake Baikai will survive. The rest will be destroyed in a massive nuclear strike. 'Because if NATO decides they can place whatever they want on our borders, they'll be...

PERHAPS the most remarkable thing about footballer Jake Daniels announcing last week that he is gay – the first current male professional in Britain to do so – is quite how unremarkable it turned out to be. Commentator Bill Maher dedicated the end of his 'New Rules' segment on Friday's edition of HBO's Real Time to the rising numbers of LGBTQ Americans, which he went as far as to suggest was 'trendy.'  Maher, 66, who often draws the ire of both conservatives and liberals on his long-running show, largely went after the transgender part of that acronym in his editorial. He began by noting the polls show the number of Americans identifying as LGBTQ has doubled with each passing generation, joking that 'if we follow this trajectory, we will all be gay in 2054.' Maher then asked if people are allowed to see those increases and ask: 'What's up with that?' 'It wasn't that long ago that when adults asked children what they wanted to be when they grew up, 'They meant what profession,' Maher said. It took 14 pitches. The fastballs, curveballs and changeups whistled by bats. One, two, three the batters came to the plate and left again, with nothing to show for their first opportunity against left-hander DL Hall. That’s how Hall envisioned his first inning unfolding Friday, when he took the mound for High-A Aberdeen — his first start for an Orioles affiliate since suffering a season-ending stress reaction in his elbow last June. He wanted to make a statement, so he fizzed fastballs by hitters and made them look silly with his off-speed offerings. And it led to three straight strikeouts in the opening frame. “I wanted everyone to know that I’m back and I’m coming,” Hall told The Baltimore Sun. Across his four innings for the IronBirds, that’s what Hall displayed. His fastball, the one that touches triple digits when needed, came as advertised. But his changeup made the biggest improvement since the last time he took the mound, and he rotated it in frequently during his scoreless outing. The 23-year-old allowed two hits and struck out six, an apt...
Health care costs for hospitals have spiked over the past two years, spurring some to ask for federal relief to continue regular operations. A report published this week by the American Hospital Association (AHA) found that the average cost of care for each individual hospital patient jumped 20 percent from 2019 to 2021, with pandemic-related cost spikes slamming the facilities. The cost of drugs used for each patient at a hospital jumped 38 percent over the two year period, fueling the overall price increases. Jumps in labor costs - mainly due to the increasing use of travel nurses - and medical supplies also contributed. Overall, the costs incurred by hospitals in America have jumped 11 percent over the past two years, though many of those costs are passed on to consumers.  In response, the AHA is asking for federal assistant to help hospitals manage rising costs. The AHA reports that drug prices are mainly fueling the growth in prices, up 37% over the past two years. Labor costs have increased due to the prevalence of contract nurses, and general inflation...
A transgender psychologist who has helped hundreds of teens transition is concerned over the sharp rise in youths identifying as trans or non-binary, claiming the spike could be a result of peer pressure.  Dr. Erica Anderson, 71, a former clinical psychologist at the University of California San Francisco's Child and Adolescent Gender Clinic, said clinicians were failing to carry out thorough mental health evaluations before recommending hormones or surgeries to teens who might not be sure if they truly want to transition.  'For a while, we were all happy that society was becoming more accepting and more families than ever were embracing children that were gender variant,' Anderson, who made her own transition at 45, told the Los Angeles Times.  'I think it's gone too far. Now it's got to the point where there are kids presenting at clinics whose parents say, 'This just doesn't make sense.'' 'To flatly say there couldn't be any social influence in formation of gender identity flies in the face of reality,' she added. 'Teenagers influence each other.'  Dr. Erica Anderson, 71, a former clinical psychologist...

LONDON (AP) — A lawmaker from Britain’s governing Conservative Party has been praised across the political spectrum for coming out as transgender, the first U.K. member of Parliament ever to do so. Jamie Wallis said Wednesday that “I’m trans. He also said he was suffering from post-traumatic stress after being raped in 2021. (CNN)With a third of the Oscars being handed out before the live telecast officially began, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is betting people will watch the 94th annual Academy Awards as much to be entertained as to find out who wins what. The Academy, which presents the awards, implemented a controversial plan this year to hand out awards in eight categories prior to the main telecast, then edit those selections into the show.In those early results, the science-fiction epic "Dune" claimed Oscars for sound, film editing, production design, and Hans Zimmer's musical score. It was the prolific composer's second win out of a dozen nominations, the first coming for "The Lion King" in 1995."The Eyes of Tammy Faye," starring Jessica Chastain as Tammy Faye Bakker, was honored for best makeup and hairstyling, with the other three preliminary awards coming in the short-film categories.Although the Grammys and Tonys employ a similar format, many Academy members have complained about the perceived slight to those nominees. Nevertheless, there was a heightened sense of urgency to streamline the presentation after the Oscars...
Conservative Disney employees are slamming their coworkers for creating an 'environment of fear' and calling on the entertainment company to remain 'politically neutral' in the face of protests against Florida's Don't Say Gay bill. 'The Walt Disney Company has come to be an increasingly uncomfortable place to work for those of us whose political and religious views are not explicitly progressive,' workers said in an unsigned letter published Monday.  'We watch quietly as our beliefs come under attack from our own employer, and we frequently see those who share our opinions condemned as villains by our own leadership.' They accuse their liberal colleagues of calling them 'bigots' and criticized CEO Bob Chapek's 'evolving response' after he walked back comments saying that corporate statements do nothing but divide a company and its customers. The letter was released a day before Disney workers staged walkouts in Los Angeles over the company's slow response to Florida's 'Parental Rights in Education' bill, which would ban classroom lessons on sexuality, gender identity and sexual orientation 'in a manner that is not age appropriate.'  On Wednesday, actress Raven-Symoné, 36,...

Florida's GOP-dominated legislature passed the controversial 'Don't Say Gay Bill' Tuesday which forbids instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in kindergarten through third grade. The move came despite heavy criticism from Democrats and backlash from students and LGBTQ advocates who organized walk outs and protests. The proposal, sponsored by Rep. Joe Harding, now moves to the desk of Governor Ron DeSantis, who is expected to sign it into law.  Harding had voiced concerns that coming out as gay was becoming 'a trend' for children. He also pushed for an amendment that would have essentially forced schools to out children to their parents, but moved to withdraw it last week.    He and other GOP lawmakers in Florida have argued that parents should be broaching these subjects with their children, rather than educators.   The measure has sparked a swell of 'Proud to Be Gay' protests by students across Florida, who have showcased the transgender and LGBTQ flags at the state capitol in Tallahassee. DeSantis has indicated support for the bill and has signed similar controversial proposals such as the Fairness in Women's Sport Act, which banned transgender female athletes from competing...

by Laurel Duggan   An adult biological male child molester will be housed in a juvenile detention facility for girls because he began identifying as a woman after being taken into custody, according to Fox News. William Tubbs, a 26-year old who now goes by “Hannah,” pled guilty to molesting a 10-year-old girl when he was two weeks shy of 18, Fox News reported. Prosecutors said that Tubbs grabbed the 10-year-old victim by the throat, locked her in a bathroom stall and put his hands down her pants, Fox News reported. Tubbs did not claim to be a woman until after he was taken into custody for the attack, prosecutors told Fox News. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon refused to prosecute Tubbs as an adult. “This clearly shows you the dangerous aspect of the blanket policies of George Gascón,” prosecutor Jon Hatami told the Los Angeles Times. “Here you have a person who has committed at least two separate sexual assaults of young girls who is now 26 years old and has a history of violent conduct in the past. This is not...

It added insult to injury for The Gunners and was a rather fitting way for Partey's week to end. Just two days ago Partey was knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations after Ghana lost to Comores, finishing bottom of their group. Arsenal fans thought that was good news as it meant Partey would not have missed a single Premier League game - but he will now sit out the Burnley match on Sunday through suspension. In a January 3 appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Sasha opened up about his experience coming out. “I came out the summer before sophomore year and it was a really hard experience,” he told DeGeneres. “But there’s not really a choice in the matter of coming out because…you can’t really live with that pain anymore, you just have to be yourself.” Sasha admitted it was “scary” realizing that millions of viewers would be watching him on “The Voice,” formulating their own opinions about his story. “You don’t know how the world is gonna react to you,” he said. “But I made the decision to share my story in this way because...
Kuzma hopes to build on recent hot streak originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington   WASHINGTON — For a brief moment there on Saturday night, it seemed like Kyle Kuzma had done it once again. In a season full of clutch moments from the Wizards forward, he made yet another big shot, this one a go-ahead three to give Washington a two-point lead with just 3.3 seconds left on the clock. This time, however, their opponent answered, as DeMar DeRozan beat two outstretched defenders for a buzzer-beater three from the corner. The Bulls had the final possession and that’s all they needed to hand the Wizards a loss on New Year’s Day. “S— happens. DeMar told me to hold my beer,” Kuzma said, referencing a common meme. Despite the loss, the performance of Kuzma stood out as it was another big game in a growing list of them for the 26-year-old. He had 29 points, 12 rebounds and two steals. It was his third straight game with 20 or more points. This uptick in scoring, which has seen him...
