President Joe Biden angrily defended his handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, saying on Wednesday that chaos was unavoidable and snapping when asked about horrific images of Afghans falling from planes. 'That was four days ago, five days ago,' he said, even though the images of people falling to their deaths emerged on Monday. The combative moment came during an interview with former Clinton White House official George Stephanopoulos for ABC News. Biden has avoided taking questions on the Afghanistan crisis for more than a week. The White House has been on the defensive for weeks as Taliban fighters raced across the country.  And officials have struggled to explain how they failed to forecast the rapid fall of Kabul and to account for chaotic scenes at the city's airport as the embassy was evacuated.  The Walt Disney Company Privacy Policy President Biden defended his handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan during an interview on Wednesday, saying it was difficult to see how chaos could have been avoided Biden answered questions about his Afghan withdrawal for the...

Furious boxing fans have accused Floyd Mayweather of throwing his fight with Logan Paul after footage of the legendary boxer appearing to hold up his opponent - rather than letting him slump to the canvas - emerged. Mayweather dominated the contest at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami but was surprisingly unable to stop Paul, with the rookie surviving the full eight rounds of their exhibition bout.  But fight fans - who stumped up £17 each to watch the fight in the UK- have now hit out at Mayweather. They claim the undefeated 44-year-old deliberately stopped Paul from collapsing in order to extend the fight - despite landing a flurry of punches which looked to have ended the YouTuber's challenge. The clip during the fight shows an exhausted Paul stepping back towards the ropes, before the social media sensation looked to thrust out a heavy right hand. Mayweather was able to evade the hook with ease and responded with a blow of his own, crashing into Paul's head. The 26-year-old then slumped forward towards 'Money', who promptly unleashed an uppercut.  ...

IT was amazing to hear the sound of actual football fans at the League Cup Final. This was real people making real noises — live, not recorded. 58,000 Man City, Spurs and neutral fans managed to make a racket - imagine if there had been 90,000 at WembleyCredit: Rex I didn’t realise how much I’d missed that noise and I had no idea I would find it so moving. How brilliant it must have been to be there, even for Spurs fans. And what a racket just 8,000 of them managed to make. Imagine if there had been 90,000 at Wembley. It has been said often enough that football is nothing without the fans, but it was only when I heard the sound of them again that I really understood what that means. I was shocked to realise to what extent I’d stopped caring quite as much about football. I’d thought this was because West Brom have been awful all season and looked nailed-on for relegation from the start. But now I’m not so sure. I mean, I am still...
WHEN Jose Mourinho became Spurs manager 17 months ago, it appeared to be a new dawn. “I am excited to be joining a club with such a great heritage and such passionate supporters," he announced on his arrival with a more positive outlook back in November, 2019. 14Jose Mourinho was appointed Tottenham manager back in November 2019Credit: Getty - Contributor "The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me. Working with these players is what has attracted me." And the Special One, 58, seemed reborn after a disastrous final season at Manchester United, where player fallouts with Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba blighted his copybook (he did win the EFL Cup and Europa League, while finishing runner-up in the Premier League in his first campaign). He was the star-of-the-show in Amazon Prime's All or Nothing documentary, with fans warming to his winners' attitude. However, like before, his management style wasn't to some tastes - with the series highlighting a row with Danny Rose. Fans' favourite Dele Alli was also frozen out, as the knives began to come out...

But as she grabbed that drink, Wilkerson said something went horribly wrong. “I turned to open the door, and when I turned, I just went in,” Wilkerson said. She said the tile floor near the refrigerators gave out. “(The left) half of my body was in the hole and the right half was out, so I just kept saying out loud, like, ‘What the…’” Wilkerson said. Coronavirus survivors have revealed how they are suffering extensive hair loss triggered by coronavirus.  Among them is Grace Dudley, 30, a mother of one from Romford, Essex, who spent almost a fortnight in hospital after contracting Covid-19 from her father, who later died of multiple organ failure caused by the virus. More than a month after she was discharged, Grace, a make-up artist, began to notice her hair falling out in large clumps, seemingly without reason. 'I woke up and noticed it was on my pillow and thought, "that's not good",' she said in an interview with FEMAIL. 'Every time I brushed my hair it was falling out and it's still happening. I've lost about 55 per cent of my hair every day and I'm losing more.'  Grace was told by an expert that her hair loss was linked to Covid-19. According to Grace, the trichologist said the severe hair loss had been triggered because the body had been so close to death that it had began to 'shut down' follicles on her head in a bid to conserve energy...

Jason Puentes spoke with CBS4’s Peter D’Oench as he was taken out of Broward Health Medical Center in his wheelchair. With a smile on his face and his left arm wrapped in a big bandage wrapped with a balloon and flowers beside him, Jason said, “I was in the pool and something hit my arm. I was bleeding a lot.” It happened just after 9:00 p.m. while fireworks were going off his neighborhood near Cypress Creek Road and 31st Avenue. “I feel pretty good now,” he said. “But I was scared a lot. It hurt a lot. It was like my arm is hurting. It was bleeding. It was right here,” he said, pointing to his bandage. “When it happened, it happened very quickly.
