Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) sparred with CNN’s Pamela Brown Tuesday during an exchange in which he accused her of trying to put words in his mouth. The pair was arguing over Turner’s demand someone at the Justice Department answer questions about why former President Donald Trump’s home was raided by the FBI Monday. On CNN’s The Lead, Turner argued the search of Trump’s home signaled he is being targeted by an FBI he said was politicized under the administration of former President Barack Obama. The congressman argued Democrats have created two justice systems, one for them and one for everyone else. “Hillary Clinton was given a pass and other people who were in the military were not,” he said. Brown hit back saying she could think of 25 examples where Trump attempted to “use the DOJ to go after political rivals.” “But again, this was a search warrant that was executed after a federal judge signed off, finding probable cause,” Brown said, before she asked Turner, “So is your issue with how the criminal justice system works?” Turner argued Trump’s situation...
    Q. Three years ago while on holiday I started suffering what felt like electric shocks in my mouth. When I got back I visited the dentist, who diagnosed me with trigeminal neuralgia. My GP agreed, but couldn’t offer me any advice or treatment. Luckily the pain disappeared over time, but a few weeks ago it started again. My doctor prescribed pregabalin, but it hasn’t helped. Can anything else be done? A. Trigeminal neuralgia causes attacks of sudden, severe facial pain, usually on one side of the face. Patients often describe it as like electric shocks or sharp, shooting pains in the jaw, teeth or gums. The attacks are usually short, lasting from a few seconds to a few minutes, but in serious cases this can happen up to 100 times a day. They can be triggered by touch, talking and even brushing the teeth. Understandably, it’s a distressing condition and can be disabling. The pain is caused by a problem with the trigeminal nerve, which runs from the temple and branches around the eyes and forehead, as well as sending signals to...
It’s certainly not every day that a life-saving mission takes place during scuba diving, but that is exactly what happened on the big island of Hawaii, and luckily, it was all caught on video. Source: KHON2 News/Youtube Dave Prutows, a dive instructor, happened to be at the right place at the right time when he was scuba diving in Hawaii with some friends in Horseshoe reef in North Kohala. Right before they were about to start heading back up to shore, Dave noticed something unusual. They encountered a small shark in the sand next to a coral head and was entangled in a fishing line with a hook in his mouth. At first, when Dave tried to remove the hook from the shark’s mouth, he became extremely agitated, so Dave decided to cut the fishing line as close to his mouth as possible, so he doesn’t get trapped in the line again. Kim Holland, a shark expert, urges people to be very cautious if they end up in this rescue situation. “It’s obvious you want to help, but...

WE'VE all had a stinker of a day at work before - but this tattoo artist's gruesome tale really takes the biscuit. She explained how she had been inking a design on a woman's hip when she smelled a disgusting aroma in the room. But Kay brushed off her concerns that the stench was coming from her client, as she thought it would be "pretty bold" of her to break wind right in front of her face. Due to the location of the inking, the tattoo artist was forced to position herself so that her face was "literally hovering over her butt." Read more on tattoosTATT’S A JOKE...

Here, FEMAIL shares hilarious photos of companion animals who tried to steal food - and didn't get away it with. This pooch, from North America, didn't have a good place to hide his stolen bread, so just tried to style it out and hide it in his mouth If only this hairless cat in the US had been able to clean away the evidence, she would have been able to get away with sampling the food  This puppy, in the US, would likely have got...
White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield objected when CBS News White House correspondent Ed O’Keefe paraphrased a response to a question about Ukrainian refugees. Bedingfield made her debut conducting a White House press briefing Tuesday, during which O’Keefe — following up on a line of questioning from Fox News’  Jacqui Heinrich — asked about the Ukrainian refugees that the U.S. has agreed to accept, and why they are exempt from Title 42. Bedingfield was not satisfied with O’Keefe’s characterization of the answer, repeatedly accusing him of “putting words in my mouth”: MR. O’KEEFE: I know you said just now you don’t have any news on Title 42, which expires on Friday — or at least the current use of it. When you were — when we were in Europe, the President announced that he’s admitting 100,000 Ukrainian asylum seekers. They are exempt from Title 42. Why? MS. BEDINGFIELD: So, obviously, we are looking at an extreme crisis in Ukraine. I think it’s — it is — it is easy to look at the incredible volume of displacement and the duress that people...

HEADING to Turkey for cheap cosmetics is what some Brits like to do, but it does come with a risk. By travelling abroad, people can save 40 to 80 per cent on plastic surgery, depending on the procedure and the country, according to the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). 3In September Lisa decided to fly to Turkey to get her teeth doneCredit: @lisamartyn883/Tiktok But whilst choosing to have a procedure abroad might be an attractive option for many, it's often not as smooth sailing as it sounds and in the past has even proven fatal. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had a curt reply to a question Anita Kumar during the latest White House press briefing — accusing the Politico reporter of “putting words in my mouth” over the Biden administration’s China strategy. When Psaki called on Kumar Tuesday afternoon, she was asked if President Joe Biden has scheduled a call yet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Psaki said the White House was still formulating its approach to China and did not have a call scheduled, but she promised to announce the details about those in the future. “That sounds a lot like the strategy is not to talk to him at this time because you’re talking about speaking to allies and making other calls first,” Kumar responded. “Have they requested a call?” “I don’t have anything more for you,” Psaki said. “I don’t appreciate the putting words in my mouth. That wasn’t what my effort was. What I was conveying is our strategy here, from the United States, which is to work with our partners and allies and determine what the right...
LINCOLN PARK — Bill Geller was walking back to his Airbnb rental in Lincoln Park early last month when he was nearly carjacked. Geller said he had come to town from Denver to help his daughter move when two men stopped him in the 600 block of West Schubert Avenue and demanded his keys. When he resisted, the men punched him and wrestled him to the ground. When a neighbor came out of her apartment and called the police, the men ran away, Geller said. “My daughter was much more scared than I was, probably because she’s moving here,” Geller said. Geller’s near-miss occurred amid a citywide increase in carjackings in which police have recorded sharp annual jumps in some North Side neighborhoods, including Lincoln Park and Lakeview. There have been 25 carjackings so far this year in the 19th Police District, which encompasses parts of Lakeview, Lincoln Park and Uptown, according to police data. That’s more than triple the eight carjackings reported by this time last year. The neighboring 18th Police District — which includes Lincoln Park, Old...
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) badgered Dr. Anthony Fauci over his opinion on limiting protests amid the pandemic during his hearing before Congress on Friday — prompting Fauci to push back and point out he is not in the position to “determine what the government can do in a forceful way.” Jordan pressed Fauci regarding the protests and noted that Churches and offices have had to close due to the outbreak — pushing him to reveal if he thinks the government should put an end to the demonstrations. Fauci responded by explaining that he believes all large gatherings should be limited throughout the pandemic, especially if masks are not being worn, but would not definitively object to protests. Jordan then asked if the government should limit the protesting, which Fauci pointed out was not in his right to determine — adding, “I’m not in a position to determine what the government can do in a forceful way.” Jordan began to detail the violence present during certain protests and demonstrations — leading Fauci to scoff and, again, respond by telling the representative he...
