FIFA has threatened to cancel the contracts of hotels and other service providers in Qatar for this year's World Cup that discriminate against gay people after an investigation revealed some had refused to allow same-sex couples to stay. The survey conducted by Danish and Swedish media also found World Cup hotels had asked customers to modify their behaviour during their visit, including one insisting that patrons do not 'dress gay'. According to NRK, SVT in Sweden and DR in Denmark, three hotels refused to accept the reservation from a gay couple, with one suggesting it would be against hotel policy to do so. Concerns have been raised over the safety of members of the LGBTQ+ fans at the tournament  LGBTQ+ supporter groups have joined forces to condemn FIFA and the Qatar World Cup Supreme Committee A further 20 hotels advised the couple to modify their behaviour to avoid public displays of affection during their stay. While thirty-three hotels on the recommended list for the World Cup, which opens in Qatar on November 21, accepted the male couple could book, the...
Real Time host Bill Maher slammed cancel culture for 'lumping the Russians too much with their government,' saying that if were to happen in America, it would be called 'racism.'  Maher, 66, disagreed with 'lumping everyone together' and cancelling 'all Russians' for the invasion of Ukraine on Saturday night's episode of Real Time.  'Do you think we're lumping the Russians too much with their government?' he asked his three panelists. 'I feel like what we're doing in this country is that everything Russian in bad and every Russian is bad. And first of all, it's not fair. If they weren't white, I feel like we would call that racism,' he said on the show.  'To lump everyone together - not everyone - but a lot of the Russian people don't know what's going on.'  Panelist Echelon Insights Founder Kristen Soltis Anderson, who appeared for her twelfth time on the show on Saturday, agreed with Maher, saying: 'This has gone way too far.'  Scroll down for video  Real Time host Bill Maher, 66, slammed 'lumping the Russians too much with their government'...

"It is a very popular channel, far more popular than most would understand, and they are being treated horribly by the Radical Left lunatics running the networks. Instead of being allowed to grow, Trump said, OAN's "voice is being shuttered." "Don't let it happen, cancel DirecTV," the former president said. "If you feel infringed by what this Communist movement is doing, cancel DirecTV!"  Last month, DirecTV, which is owned by AT&T Inc. and TPG Inc., notified Herring Networks Inc., which owns and operates OAN, that it would not renew its contract to...
Travelers make their way through Miami International Airport on December 28, 2021 in Miami, Florida.Joe Raedle | Getty Images Travel in 2021 ended on a stressful note for thousands thanks to omicron. The fast-spreading coronavirus variant has driven up infection rates around the world, including among airline staff. U.S. airlines have canceled more than 10,000 flights over the year-end holiday period as the variant sidelined pilots and flight attendants and bad weather hit hubs such as Seattle and Atlanta. Thousands more flights were delayed. It's a small percentage of overall schedules — about 5%, according to flight-tracking site FlightAware — but it has disrupted the plans of tens of thousands of travelers during what airline executives had forecast to be the busiest time since the pandemic began. Since Dec. 23, more than 15.6 million people have passed through Transportation Security Administration checkpoints at airports, almost double the number a year ago. Unlike the meltdowns at Spirit, American and Southwest in the summer and fall, the recent spate of disruptions is spread among several airlines, including Delta, United, JetBlue, Alaska and...
COUPLES must cancel their wedding and self-isolate if they are “pinged” by the NHS Covid-19 App, government officials have warned.  Hundreds of thousands of Brits are being told to self-isolate by the app each week - sparking fears that weddings could be disrupted.  1Couples must cancel their wedding and self-isolate if they are “pinged” by the NHS Covid-19 app, Government officials have warned (stock image)Credit: Alamy All restrictions on weddings were lifted on Monday, with social distancing laws and bans on large gatherings scrapped.  But tens of thousands of people have been instructed to stay at home by the NHS Covid-19 App, which "pings" anyone who has been within two metres of an infectious person for more than 15 minutes. But unlike those who are contacted directly by NHS Test and Trace, the app's instruction is only advisory - and self-isolation is not legally enforced. It comes as part of a drive by ministers to place "personal emphasis" over government diktat as the country leaves lockdown. But asked what a couple should do if they are “pinged”...
Variety.com LOS ANGELES – Eric Clapton will not perform at venues that require proof of vaccination. “Following the PM’s announcement on Monday the 19th of July 2021, I feel honor bound to make an announcement of my own: I wish to say that I will not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present. Unless there is provision made for all people to attend, I reserve the right to cancel the show,” Clapton said via statement posted onto architect, film producer and anti-vaxxer Robin Monotti Graziadei’s Telegram account. The news follows U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s announcement Tuesday that as restrictions on social gatherings lift, nightclubs must require guests to show a Covid Pass from the U.K.’s National Health Service upon entry for everyone over the age of 18. Clapton has been releasing anti-vaccination and anti-lockdown statements and songs for close to a year now. In December 2020, Clapton joined fellow classic rocker turned anti-vaxxer Van Morrison on his song, “Stand and Deliver.” The song features lyrics including, “Do you wanna be a free man / Or...
President Biden on Wednesday warned Americans they may have to cancel “small” outdoor gatherings on the Fourth of July if there’s a slowdown of COVID-19 vaccinations. More than 51 percent of American adults have received at least one vaccine dose, according to CDC data, indicating that herd immunity and the pandemic’s end are near. But Biden said at the White House that he’s not yet comfortable saying people can hold small outdoor gatherings on Independence Day. “Back on March 11, I outlined a vision of what America could look like by the Fourth of July — an America that was much closer to normal life that we left behind more than a year ago,” Biden said. He warned: “To celebrate our independence from this virus on July 4th with family and friends in small groups, we still have more to do in the months of May and June. We all need to mask up until the number of cases goes down, until everyone has a chance to get their shot.” Biden proposed in a March primetime address that people could...

Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Sunday he doubts that the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine is halted entirely. Last week the U.S. called for a pause in J&J vaccine distribution over a reported six cases of serious blood clots out of the millions of people who have gotten the one-dose coronavirus vaccine. On Meet the Press, Chuck Todd started off by asking Fauci if Americans will “know something more definitive” by Friday, when the advisory committee meets. Fauci said he believes by Friday “we’ll know which way we’re going on this,” and added, “Hopefully we’ll get back on track.” He defended the pause and said “hopefully it’ll be a quite temporary pause.” At one point Todd asked Fauci, “What’s more likely: that we will still use the Johnson & Johnson vaccine with some restrictions, or is it very possible we don’t use it at all?” Fauci said he couldn’t give a definitive answer, but told Todd his estimate is that “we will continue to use it in some form.” “I doubt very seriously if they just cancel it. I don’t...
Gina Carano will star in a film project that she is producing alongside The Daily Wire in the wake of her firing by Disney from her role in the Star Wars series The Mandalorian for comparing the political climate to the Nazi era. Carano, the actress and former mixed martial arts fighter, on Friday confirmed her collaboration with The Daily Wire, the right-leaning news and opinion website founded by conservative commentator Ben Shapiro. ‘The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams - to develop and produce my own film - come true,’ Carano told Deadline, which initially broke the news. ‘I cried out and my prayer was answered. I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. ‘I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. ‘They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.’ Gina Carano will star in a film project that she is producing alongside The Daily...
White House trade adviser Peter Navarro accused the Democrats of going out of their way not to link the coronavirus pandemic to China, where the outbreak is believed to have begun late last year. "If you watched back when with the Democratic convention, or you watch CNN or MSNBC, which are effectively propaganda organs for the Democratic Party, you never hear them talk about where the virus came from," Navarro said Sunday on Fox News. "They won't say the word 'China virus.' If you try to say it, they cancel you." Navarro, a vocal critic of the Chinese Communist Party, has also chastised the media for what he views as them being too sensitive about overtly tying the virus to China over concerns of appearing racist or xenophobic toward Asian Americans, calling this "politically correct" trend "bizarre." He told Fox News that the Democrats' criticism of Trump's response to the coronavirus, which has been linked to 200,000 deaths in the United States, should be redirected to China. "The reason is, the whole Biden Democratic Party strategy is, it's a dangerous...
Conservative commentator Mark Steyn placed some blame on the current cancel culture trend on conservatives who “refuse to turn up” and fight the “culture war.” Emerging from quarantine Wednesday in the U.K. to make his first televised appearance in several months on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Steyn reacted to Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s summary of the current state of affairs, with leftists “censoring movies, ripping down statues, [and] encouraging book burning.” Steyn’s response aimed directly at the lack of opposition. “Where are the people who will defend this?” Steyn asked. “You can’t have a culture war if one side refuses to turn up.” WATCH: “On the politics, on the looting, on the rioting, the Republican Party and conservatives have been largely silent, and similarly on the culture war the other side has been largely silent,” Steyn contended. “If that’s not your take on the antebellum South, make your own movie, write your own novel, do your own play about the antebellum south, but don’t demand that things be abolished simply because they weren’t made with the peculiar narcissistic sensibilities...
