Senator Ron Johnson on Sunday accused the FBI of major bias over whistleblower claims that the bureau suppressed negative information about Hunter Biden. The Wisconsin Republican told Fox & Friends that he has 'no faith' in FBI Director Christopher Wray, who was appointed by Donald Trump, to oversee anything related to President Joe Biden's son. Meanwhile the Justice Department is currently pursuing an unrelated tax investigation into Hunter Biden's overseas business deaings.  It comes after Johnson wrote a letter to Wray, Attorney General Merrick Garland and other Justice Department officials on Tuesday claiming to have received whistleblower allegations that the bureau went out of its way to 'improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation' in a bid to stop investigations into the president's son. 'First of all, thank God for those whistleblowers. We need a whole lot more of them in the FBI, the Department of Justice, and in our federal health agencies,' Johnson said on Sunday. 'I'm not shocked, but it's outrageous that the FBI would be tipping the scales of justice the way they're doing.' He continued,...

The Biden administration is ramping up efforts to slow the spread of monkeypox by distributing tens of thousands of vaccine doses, after facing criticism over its early response to a US outbreak primarily affecting gay men.  The plan, announced on Tuesday, involves rapidly expanding access to doses of Bavarian Nordic's Jynneos vaccine - which has so far been limited - to prevent monkeypox in areas with the highest transmission and need.  The announcement came just hours after advocates sent a letter to the White House slamming the administration's monkeypox response, saying that 1 million doses of the Jynneos vaccine already owned by the US are stuck in limbo in Denmark awaiting a facility inspection.  Although the vaccine itself has been approved for use by US regulators, the doses in Denmark were produced on a manufacturing line that is still awaiting Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval, officials said earlier this month.   The letter from PrEP4ALL and Partners for Health said in part: 'We must not allow the same failures of vaccine production and distribution that hampered the global COVID-19 response...

Some Americans are trying to get COVID-19 on purpose and get the disease 'out of the way,' assuming that their case will be mild - but doctors say this strategy is unwise. Seventy percent of parents still believe that their baby will sleep later in the morning if they go to sleep later, and half would avoid rocking their baby to sleep to prevent dependency (53 percent). A Sydney man is desperately trying to secure a visa for his two sisters, who are in hiding in Kabul and among thousands trying to reach Australia. 'If the Taliban hear about us or find us, they will kill us,' a woman says by phone from the Afghanistan capital. She and her sister have spent the past week hiding in a single room in Kabul, fearing for their lives. A Sydney man is desperately trying to secure a visa for his two sisters who are hiding in fear in Kabul (Pictured: First Australian citizens and visas holders arriving in Perth from Afghanistan) The sisters are particular targets for the Taliban because they are unmarried, educated, and have worked with a western NGO. They fled Mazar-e-Sharif two days before the Taliban swept through that city but, like so many others, when Kabul fell in mid-August they had nowhere left to run. Such is the risk, AAP has chosen not to name them. The sisters' lifeline is on the other side of the world - their brother in Sydney, who was...
A former Playboy model says she is afraid for her safety after receiving a slew of vile abuse and even death threats on Instagram from users who she says have been 'scammed' by fake catfish accounts set up in her name.  Jenna Bentley, 32, from Los Angeles, has spent years fielding DMs from her adoring fans on social media - having racked up more than 800,000 followers on Instagram alone thanks to her modeling work for risque magazines like Playboy and Maxim, as well as her popular account on OnlyFans.  However in the past seven months, Jenna says the messages being sent to her have taken a twisted turn for the abusive - claiming that she now regularly receives DMs from Instagram users threatening her life or urging her to 'kill herself'.  According to Jenna, the abusive messages began in February 2021, after her 'verified' account and her popular backup account on Instagram were suddenly deleted - leaving her without a blue-check-approved presence to indicate her official account on the social media app.  Upset: Former Playboy model Jenna Bentley...

What happened? President Joe Biden has equivocated on whether or not the U.S. government would prioritize getting some 10,000 or more American citizens out of the country — not to mention tens of thousands of Afghan allies who supported U.S. efforts in the south Asian country over the last two decades to keep the Taliban at bay. Even Democrats were quick to go after the president for his failure to focus on getting people out. One anonymous Democratic U.S. lawmaker told The Hill, "The scenes are just brutal and there is no excuse for just how badly State or the Defense Department or both completely bungled the evacuations and getting folks out. Someone was really asleep at the switch." Democratic Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (Texas) said on Twitter, "There's no way to hide it. The situation in Afghanistan is another shame on this admin. Withdrawal was never going to be easy but it didn't need to come to this. The US must do everything in its power to help our partners & allies to safety & protect our...
Magnetic stripe cards have been with us since the 1960s. Much has happened since then and, today, technology allows us to pay wirelessly, using the chip and even using our mobile and / or smartwatch. To date, these technologies have coexisted in perfect harmony, but now it’s time to start saying goodbye to the magnetic strip. And it is that Mastercad has confirmed through its official website that, starting in 2024, you will start to get rid of this technology on your cards. The goal is that by 2033 not a single Mastercard card has a magnetic stripe, thus giving much more prominence to the chip and wireless payment. Thanks for your services, magstripe With this announcement, Mastercard becomes the first payment network to eliminate this technology, something that will be done in several phases. It will begin in 2024, when newly issued Mastercard credit and debit cards will not be required to have magnetic stripe in most markets, Europe among them. In the United States things will go slower, since it will not...
The highest priority for any sovereign government is the protection of its citizens from danger – foreign and domestic. We count on our government to be watchful. It is troubling then how lax we have become since the end of the Cold War, despite the emergence of new international threats – not least those posed by the extraordinary rise of China and its ever-tightening grip on world affairs. Beijing runs the second most powerful economy in the world and is a major trading partner for Britain and America. Many jobs rely upon the huge investments it has made. China has found its way into Britain’s strategic telecommunications, into our universities and our nuclear industry. China and Russia are expanding into both Africa and South America, too, buying up stakes in mineral resources and energy distribution Influential figures in the West want us to treat the Chinese as if they were equally responsible members of the global community, ignoring the serious threat to our way of life they already represent. But we must not allow ourselves to be lulled into...

In a July 3 post he wrote: "Why take a vax promoted by people who lied 2u all along about masks, where the virus came from and the death toll?”, although he didn’t provide any additional context or clarification. "Vaccine Bogus Bull Shid!, Two peeps I know, got vaxed, now have Corona, hospitalized critical," he wrote on July 1. "Thank you Moderna, FOR NOTHING!" Creative Director of Hubbard South Florida Mike McCabe, a friend of Farrel’s, said on Facebook that he had been battling Covid for three weeks before his death earlier this...
If your clothes have shrunk in the washing machine, don’t worry because you can still fix it. Take note of these homemade tricks to unwind clothes and get them to increase in size. Although doing laundry seems like a simple task, it is actually more difficult than it sounds. If we do not pay attention to the labels of the garments and we wash them without following the manufacturer’s instructions, we can spoil the fabric and get more than one displeasure. In addition, there are mistakes that we all make when washing clothes that can be expensive. One of the risks we run if we don’t do the laundry properly is that the clothes shrink. It is one of the most common problems and can occur for different reasons. One of them is to wash fabrics that do not withstand heat at a very high temperature. It can also happen if you use the dryer at a higher temperature than the manufacturer recommends. Natural fibers, such as cotton and linen, can shrink if they absorb too much moisture. Natural...
"That is the mission," Cuomo added. Pat questioned Governor Cuomo for having the nerve to tell New Yorkers how to manage their health after the health-related scandals Cuomo himself faced during the pandemic.
