Ashley was surrounded that day by family members -- including her four siblings -- who joined her in squealing in delight at each new acceptance letter."I just decided to shoot my shot at all of them and see if it would land. Ronaldo must score against Brighton to avoid that feat but he will need to find his shooting boots quickly after missing an open goal against Southampton. Worse still, Ronaldo is at risk of jumping above his rivals in terms of worse goalscoring droughts. Lionel Messi already ranks better with his longest run without a goal at five games - but Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland share Ronaldo's record of seven. Seven of the eight children killed in the horrific Philadelphia house fire have been pictured as investigators continue to probe whether a Christmas tree set the house ablaze and why none of the three smoke detectors went off. Sisters Virginia Thomas, 30, and Rosalee McDonald, 33, and eight of their 11 combined children were killed when the Philadelphia Public Housing Authority duplex they shared went up in flames around 6.38am Wednesday.  Two other adults, who have not been identified, were also killed in the blaze. Family members say the victims ranged in age from 33 to just one years old. Another two, including a child, are in critical condition.  'They're babies, young children. They didn't even get to experience life,' Isaiah Brown, a cousin of the family, told Fox News. Fire chiefs later revealed that a total of four smoke alarms failed and they fear they may recover more bodies inside the home as they work through the debris.  Thomas's four children in 2019 including daughters Natasha and Shanice  Three of McDonald's six children are pictured after they...
A Texas youth football team has been booted from their league in the middle of the playoffs season for 'being too good'. The Flower Mound Rebels, a team of seven and eight-year-olds, won seven games during their season with a combined score of 199-6.  The Rebels asked the Keller Youth Association to join its leage after the pandemic made it difficult to field a team. But, they were deemed too good to play by the association and were ultimately kicked out of the upcoming playoffs because they were as good as a select level team instead of a peewee team - despite many of the players never having played before. 'This is the Keller league, not the Flower Mound league,' Rhett Taylor, the vice president of the association, told KXAS-TV.  'In my mind, they've dominated our league. My team got one first down all game. Getting between seven and eight hours of sleep each night in old age is the sweet spot for keeping your brain healthy, another study has found. People who regularly got fewer than six hours had worse cognitive function and higher levels of a dangerous plaque in the brain linked to dementia.  And those who slept too much also performed poorer in memory, reaction time and flexible thinking tests, despite not having abnormal levels of amyloid beta. The Stanford University study looked at nearly 4,500 people with an average age of 71 from the US, Canada, Australia and Japan.  Independent experts said it builds on existing research 'highlighting a link' between the build-up of amyloid protein and cognitive deterioration.  They added regularly sleeping too long in your senior years may be a symptom of underlying issues, such as depression.   Approximately one in three Britons and Americans do not get enough sleep each week, numerous surveys suggest.  Poor sleep has been linked to a host of conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure, among others.  The NHS says most adults need between...
