The director of the CIA has said Vladimir Putin is 'entirely too healthy' despite constant health rumours plaguing the Russian president. William Burns, speaking at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado, said his comments were 'not a formal intelligence judgment' but a personal opinion. The spy chief, the last US official to meet with Putin before he ordered his troops to butcher Ukrainians, said the leader is 'a big believer in control and intimidation and getting even', and his 'appetite for risk has grown'. He added: 'He is stewing in a very combustible combination of grievance and ambition and insecurity.' Putin has been dogged by claims he is suffering from cancer, Parkinson's or another mystery illness, and has often appeared unsteady during recent public appearances. The families of September 11th victims are urging President Joe Biden on Thursday to hold Saudi Arabia accountable for the terror attacks if he meets with the Middle Eastern nation's de-facto leader later this month. The president is reportedly eyeing a face-to-face with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, known colloquially as MBS, in an upcoming visit to the Gulf. Biden would also meet with other allies in the oil-rich Gulf if he does embark on the trip later this month, the Washington Post reported. Advocacy group 9/11 Families United urged the president to 'prioritize accountability' for the attacks in any conversations with MBS or other Saudi officials and royalty in a letter sent to the White House on Thursday. Late last year, the president declassified a trove of FBI documents revealing the extent of its investigation into what, if any, ties the Saudi government had to the terrorists. Brett Eagleson, 36, whose father Bruce Eagleson died while aiding rescue efforts after one of two planes hit the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, told DailyMail.com...

The New York Yankees had an objectively poor offseason with some major players they could have used signing elsewhere. Winning the offseason has its rewards. Fans get pumped. Season tickets are sold. Preseason rankings put your team at or near the top. Winning the offseason doesn’t really matter once the season actually starts. Washington (CNN)Republican Sen. Mike Lee is defending himself against criticism that he obscured what he knew about efforts to overturn the 2020 election in light of newly-revealed text messages showing he communicated for weeks about the effort with then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. The texts, first reported by CNN last week, show a series of communications between Lee and Meadows beginning just days after the election in which Lee initially expressed support for challenging the election results. In early December 2020, Lee began texting Meadows about the idea that states could submit alternate slates of pro-Donald Trump electors to Congress on January 6. But in statements since the insurrection, including comments he made on the Senate floor that day, Lee has given the impression that he was simply monitoring activity from states, as opposed to promoting the idea of separate electors to Meadows. "There are, of course, rare instances, instances in which multiple slates of electors can be submitted by the same state. That doesn't happen very often" Lee said on January 6. "That did not happen here,...

All were categorized as 'legislative planning food and beverage' expenses.  The total for the week was just under $5,000 in planning expenses between the food and accommodations.  Controversial Republican Representative Madison Cawthorn is drawing heat for spending nearly $3,000 in taxpayer money on what was termed a 'legislative planning food and beverage' visit to a swanky resort in North Carolina The Skylaranna claims to boast...

Chris Rock briefly addressed the Oscars slap during a show in Boston on Wednesday, noting that he needs time to 'process' the assault as disappointed fans say they expected more from his first public comments after the incident. The comic, 57, took to the stage at the Wilbur Theatre and asked: 'How was your weekend?'  The rhetorical question got a big laugh from the crowd, which occasionally heckled the Emmy-winning comedian with comments about the on-screen assault. But Rock warned those at the sold-out venue that the show would go on as planned. 'I don't have like a bunch of s*** to say about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I had like a whole show I wrote before ... this weekend ...' he said to more laughs. 'And I'm still kind of processing what happened. 'So at some time I'll talk about that s***... and it'll be serious. It'll be funny,' he said before an audience member shouted, 'F*** Will!' 'I'm gonna tell some jokes,' Rock concluded.  But some of the 3,000 fans in the audience -...
Donald Glover is singing Malia Obama's praises after giving the former First Daughter her first post-college job as a writer on his new Amazon series, gushing that the 23-year-old is 'amazingly talented' and 'really focused'.   The multihyphenate, who is also known by his stage name Childish Gambino, was at the season three premiere of his FX series 'Atlanta' on Thursday when he confirmed reports the 23-year-old is working in the writers' room on his latest project. Glover, 38, is writing and executive producing the upcoming Amazon series — potentially titled 'Hive' — that is reportedly about 'a Beyoncé-type character.' The gig is Obama's first official job since she graduated from Harvard University last year.  'She’s just like, an amazingly talented person,' the actor told Vanity Fair of Obama. 'She’s really focused, and she’s working really hard.' He did not reveal how Obama - who interned on Lena Dunham's HBO series 'Girls' in 2015 and at The Weinstein Company in 2017 - landed the job.  However his brother Stephen Glover, who is also working on the upcoming Amazon project, said that the brothers were interested...
Embattled Spotify podcaster Joe Rogan addressed his COVID misinformation controversy during a comedy set in Texas Tuesday, saying that listeners should take his words with a grain of salt because he 'talks sh*t for a living.' 'I talk sh*t for a living - that's why this is so baffling to me,' Rogan, 54, said during an appearance at the Vulcan Gas Company in Austin, referring to the backlash he's faced from stars like Neil Young for anti-vax information that's been discussed on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, which is exclusive to Spotify. 'If you're taking vaccine advice from me, is that really my fault?' Rogan asked fans in his first public appearance since folk-rock icon Young pulled his discography from the platform over the controversy, spurring others to follow suit and call for the Swedish streaming service to nix their $100million exclusive deal with the comedian. 'What dumb sh*t were you about to do when my stupid idea sounded better? "You know that dude who made people people eat animal dicks on TV? How does he feel about medicine?"' the...
“There’s no subject you shouldn’t joke about,” he told the Journal. “It depends on the joke. As a journalist, there’s nothing you wouldn’t write about. It depends on your angle, right? I think a lot of this pious offense comes from people mistaking the target of the joke with the subject. You can joke about anything, but it depends on what the actual target is. If you use irony and people see that at face value and think you’re saying one thing, but you’re actually saying the opposite." Gervais added to the paper that "even the critical thinkers, if it’s a subject that’s personal to them, they can’t see the wood for the trees, they can’t see objectively. People laugh at 19 of the terrible subjects I joke about, but not the 20th because that affects them.” The Journal also asked him about his reaction to “the Golden Globes being essentially reduced to a live blog this year." And Gervais — who shocked many with his take-no-prisoners monologue that massacred left-wing celebrity culture during the...

A Republican senator who grilled Dr Anthony Fauci over his financial disclosures - leading a frustrated Fauci to call him under his breath a 'moron' - has published the public health expert's federal records. The records show that Fauci - the highest-paid federal employee, who earns more than President Joe Biden - and his wife, the top bioethicist at the National Institutes of Health, have a combined wealth of $10.4 million. Fauci, 80, has lead the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984 and, if he continues until the end of Biden's term in 2024, will have made roughly $2.5 million as the president's chief medical advisor. Fauci's records show that he and his wife were paid $5,000 to attend a virtual awards ceremony in December 2020, and also have an interest in an Italian restaurant in San Francisco, Jackson Fillmore Trattoria. The restaurant did not make them any money, however, the disclosures show.  Roger Marshall, who represents Kansas, clashed with the 80-year-old on Tuesday. Marshall wanted to see Fauci's financial information; Fauci told him the documents were public....
Bravo television host Andy Cohen claims he was 'overserved' in a new Instagram post after he blasted former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio on CNN's New Year's Eve special. A 'merry' Cohen, 53, said 'Sayonara Sucker!' to the former mayor after sharing shots with the network's co-host Anderson Cooper in honor of Betty White who passed away earlier that day.  Cooper appeared to be both entertained and alarmed at Cohen's comments as he attempted to diffuse the situation. The following day, Cohen admitted his forthrightness may have had something to do with the shots he was seen downing earlier on New Year's Eve.    'I was a bit overserved last night,' he wrote in a Saturday Instagram post. 'I had so much fun though, and I hope you did too!'    In his Instagram video, he also advertised the two liquors he used in the shots with Cooper which included Denada Tequila and Mujen Spirits. A suspected pedophile was arrested for abducting a 16 year-old girl after she used an emergency hand signal she saw on TikTok to alert other drivers to her plight, cops say.    Laurel County Sheriff's officers in Kentucky arrested James Brick, 61, on November 4 after receiving a call on Thursday about a 16-year-old girl in his car making hand gestures known on TikTok that represent domestic violence.  It was seen by someone driving behind Brick's vehicle, with the girl subsequently telling police she'd been abducted from her home in Asheville, North Carolina, and driven through her home state, Ohio, Tennessee and Kentucky.  Her parents had reported her missing.   The signal, demonstrated on multiple TikTok accounts, including one set up by news site NowThis, sees a person raise their palm and tuck their thumb, then lower their fingers so that the thumb is 'trapped' inside them, with the signal resembling a clenched fist.  It is designed to show others that the signaler is suffering from domestic abuse.   One driver called in about the teen in a silver Toyota who 'appeared to...
The Rust camera assistant who quit on the night before Alec Baldwin accidentally shot the cinematographer recalled that there were only two safety meetings on set and said production did not take gun safety seriously.  Lane Luper, who served as the film's A-camera first assistant, said he quit because employees were being overworked, COVID-safety was not being enforced properly and gun safety was poor.  'I think with Rust, it was the perfect storm of the armorer, the assistant director, the culture that was on set, the rushing. It was everything,' he told Good Morning America about the events that led up to the fatal shooting. 'It wasn’t just one individual. Everything had to fall into place for this one-in-a-trillion thing to happen.' He then disputed the producers' claim that safety was a top priority on set, saying, 'I only personally remember two safety meetings that involved the entire crew.’ Luper ultimately accused the film's production of breaking the cardinal rule of having guns on set, which he said was, 'There shall never be live rounds anywhere on a studio lot, or...
Alec Baldwin believes passionately in gun safety and wants much tighter controls over who can have a gun. The actor thinks fellow Americans should only be allowed to exercise their constitutional right to own firearms if they go through a lengthy stringent procedure to ensure they are fit and proper enough citizens to possess a deadly weapon. I know this because we discussed it during an interview at CNN a few years ago in which he said: 'I'm in favour of people owning guns but I'm in favour of there being the most arduous process for them to qualify to own that gun. We license many things in our society. You can't walk into a store to get all the drugs you need. You could be in agonizing pain, and you still have to go to a hospital and stand in line and you have to go to a doctor and get a prescription, from a pharmacist. We license cars. We license a lot of things and I think that we need to license guns beyond the way we do...

Netflix has suspended three employees, including one, Terra Field, who criticized comedian Dave Chappelle's new comedy special in a series of tweets.  Field identifies herself on Twitter as a senior software engineer at Netflix and as trans.   'I work at @netflix,' Field tweeted. 'Yesterday we launched another Chappelle special where he attacks the trans community, and the very validity of transness -- all while trying to pit us against other marginalized groups.   'What we object to is the harm that content like this does to the trans community (especially trans people of color) and VERY specifically black trans women. A Netflix software engineer, Terra Field wrote a lengthy Twitter thread about Dave Chappelle's special . She has since been suspended but Netflix say it 'was unrelated' to her tweets Over the course of more than 40 tweets Field explained the violence felt by transgender the gender non-conforming community 'Promoting TERF ideology (which is what we did by giving it a platform yesterday) directly harms trans people, it is not some neutral act. News anchor Ashleigh Banfield has blasted ex-colleague Katie Couric's claim her father was touting her as a potential replacement for the former Today star by revealing that he was senile in a care home at the time.  Banfield took particular offense at Couric's claim, exclusively reported by DailyMail.com, that Banfield wanted her job, and that her father was promoting her 'all around town' as a prospective replacement. 'I want to correct the record here, because you went after my dad. It's just not true,' Banfield said of Couric's claim in the upcoming book, called Going There, on her NewsNationNow show Wednesday night.  She explained that, when she was in Afghanistan with work shortly after the 9/11 attacks, 'there were a lot of reports about it being a very dangerous assignment.' At that point her father John, a retired architect from Winnipeg in Canada, was almost 80 years old, 'extremely senile', and living in a care home. He died in 2009 aged 85. Banfield said that a New York Post reported managed to find a phone number for her father, in...
Prince Andrew has officially recognised that he has been served with a lawsuit by Virginia Giuffre, clearing a hurdle that had stalled legal proceedings for several weeks. The acknowledgment was confirmed in a joint agreement signed by a lawyer for the Duke of York, approved by a Manhattan federal judge and entered into the public court record today. The court papers said Andrew had been challenging acceptance of the lawsuit until lawyers spoke by phone on September 21. An agreement was signed three days later, according to the order signed by Judge Lewis A. Kaplan. MailOnline had previously reported that Andrew's legal team accepted that he had been correctly served with legal papers by his sex accuser. This has now been entered in the official public record.    In the lawsuit, Virginia Giuffre claims Andrew abused her on multiple occasions in 2001 when she was under 18. His lawyer has called the allegations 'baseless.' Ms Giuffre's lawyer, David Boies, had previously said he expected the prince's US lawyer, Andrew B Brettler, to apply for a 'reasonable' extension to respond to the complaint...
It’s easy to forget that Donald Trump has siblings. That’s because they don’t appear at their brother’s side. Instead, they toss him the occasional cheerful remark through the media while apparently making sure their 10-foot pole collection is in good condition. If they need any family comfort, they can apparently find it in the millions that were left to them from the estate of their father, Fred Trump Sr. However, that wealth didn’t get shared around equally. On Tuesday, Donald Trump filed a lawsuit against the only daughter of his deceased brother Fred Trump Jr.—whose family was explicitly left out of the family inheritance. The claim against Mary Trump, as reported by The New York Times, is that she assisted Times reporters in obtaining a portion of Donald Trump’s personal tax returns. The lawsuit accuses Mary of being part of an “insidious plot” and being driven by “actual malice” toward Donald Trump. Trump claims at least $100 million in damages. According to Trump, the release of his tax information violates a binding nondisclosure agreement connected to a lawsuit over his father’s will. That...
LeVar Burton opened up about the Jeopardy! host drama while sitting down with Trevor Noah on Thursday night. Burton first addressed the outpouring of love he received from fans during his time guest hosting the game show, saying that adults who used to watch Reading Room often support all of his endeavors. “I made it public that I wanted it for myself, that it made sense to me, and they were all about it,” he said of hosting Jeopardy! “It made as much sense to them as it did to me. And, so, they wanted it for me as much as I wanted it.” Burton, however, was not chosen to be the permanent host, and while the hunt is still ongoing, Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings are set to host for the rest of the year. “The crazy thing is that when you set your sights on something, you know, they say be careful of what you wish for, because what I found out is that it wasn’t the thing that I wanted after all,” Burton said of losing the gig. “What I wanted was to...

Like the first launch event last month, the second one was held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and saw Kim and her estranged husband dressed in the same color. Once again Kim, 40, had to watch from the stands as Kanye, 44, performed his track Love Unconditionally in which he pleaded with her to 'come back' to him. He also introduced a new song in which he goaded her: 'Time and space is a luxury but you came here to show that you're still in love with me.'
Tucker Carlson has been telling some of his Fox News guests that he voted for Kanye West rather than Donald Trump, according to a report on Thursday. The Fox News host, known for his close relationship with Trump and harsh criticism of Joe Biden, has surprised people with his declaration, according to Politico. The site spoke to two people who confirmed the conversations, but said that those he told were unsure if he was joking. They took it as a demonstration of his independence and free-thinking, and his refusal to slavishly follow Trump regardless. Carlson has benefitted, in the eyes of many, from stories suggesting he rebukes the former president when he believes Trump has gone too far. 'It's his way of saying that he's not just another Trumpette at Fox News like Sean Hannity,' one of the sources told Politico, referring to Carlson's fellow primetime opinion host. Carlson declined to comment when asked by Politico.  Fox News host Tucker Carlson has been telling guests that he voted for Kanye West in November West was married to...
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has accused President Joe Biden of 'weakness' and predicted that Russian President Vladimir Putin will put the screws on him during their showdown meeting. 'I expect tomorrow Putin will press, he will see how far he can push President Biden,' Pompeo told Fox News host Sean Hannity hours before the summit Wednesday in Geneva.  'He's going to show up loaded for bear, because the actions of Biden's administration to date suggest that will be successful,' Pompeo said of Putin. Pompeo urged the Biden to 'hold Russia accountable for its malign activity, and to make clear there are red lines,' but accused accused the U.S. president of showing an 'enormous sign of weakness' by refusing to hold a joint press conference with Putin.  Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has accused President Joe Biden of 'weakness' and predicted that Russian President Vladimir Putin will put the screws on him Putin and Biden are scheduled to meet on Wednesday in Geneva 'The fact that you're not prepared to stand six or eight feet from...
Former MSNBC host Chris Matthews returned to the network Tuesday night as a guest on the show that replaced him after he was ousted over sexual misconduct allegations last year.  Matthews hosted Hardball for 20 years until last March, when he suddenly resigned on air, after GQ journalist Laura Bassett publicly shamed him for complimenting her in the make-up chair when she was getting ready to go on his show.   He told her: 'Why haven't I fallen in love with you yet?' then told the make-up artist: 'Keep putting makeup on her, I'll fall in love with her.'    Bassett didn't name him in her initial piece for GQ but she described the behavior as 'gross and inappropriate'.  Matthews then made the decision to resign live on-air. He confirmed Bassett's story, apologized to her and said that a new generation was replacing his with 'fair' standards in the workplace.  Bassett says it wasn't her comments that forced him to resign; He was also criticized for comparing Bernie Sanders' victory in the Nevada Democratic caucuses to the Nazis invading France.   On Tuesday...
BROOKS KOEPKA couldn't hide his disdain for Bryson DeChambeau during an interview after the PGA Championship. He was understandably frustrated as he conducted his post-round interview before being stopped in his tracks by big-hitting DeChambeau. Speaking with Golf Channel reporter Todd Lewis as he dissected what went wrong in his round, Koepka said: "I didn’t putt well but I don’t think any of the guys were going to putt well with this wind. "It’s very tough. I don’t know what the other guys have said or … I just found it difficult to read sometimes..." Koepka then loses his train of thought as DeChambeau walks behind and adds: "…. Rep. Andrew Clyde seems to be worried about how this "vacation" is going. The pathology involved in conservatives around the country collectively trying to gaslight Americans into believing they didn’t see what they saw and didn’t hear with heard on Jan. 6, 2021, is pretty frightening. But here we are. During “The Capitol Insurrection: Unexplained Delays and Unanswered Questions” hearings held by the House of Representatives, Republicans tried to repaint the history of the Jan. 6 attempt by MAGA types and many Republican officials to forcefully overturn millions of Americans democratically cast votes as not a big deal. In fact, if you looked at it another way, the insurrection was like a big family gathering. One of the most egregious remembrances of that day came from Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde of Georgia. During his written statement, he said of the many trespassers and zip-tie carrying insurrections that day in the Capitol building, “You know, if you didn't know the TV footage was a video from January the 6th you would actually think it was a normal tourist visit.” It’s the kind of statement that’s so breathtaking in its denial of all evidence that it...
Prince Harry today revealed that when he and Meghan first started dating they 'pretended they didn't know each other' in the supermarket and secretly texted each other items for their shopping list from across the aisles. The Duke of Sussex told Dax Shepard's 'Armchair Expert' show that they tried to stay 'incognito' during his wife's first trip to stay with him in London in 2016, where he lived at Kensington Palace.  Harry also compared his life as a mixture of The Truman Show - when Jim Carrey's character discovers his life is a TV show - and being an animal at the zoo as he discussed his mental health and listeners insisted he is developing an american twang to his British accent. The 36-year-old, is currently living in his $14million Californian mansion with his wife and son, said he was born into extraordinary privilege but hinted that he believes this has changed since he quit with Meghan last year, saying: 'You may start in one place but you can change in time'. During the 90-minute interview Mr Shepard, who is married to...
Michael Che has hit back at online criticism of a skit he wrote for last week's Saturday Night Live after it was accused of misappropriating black culture. The star took to Instagram Monday to defend the 'Gen Z Hospital' sketch, which featured guest host Elon Musk and other cast members using slang phrases as they sat in a waiting room. Critics online slammed the script for having phrases from 'African American Vernacular English' (AAVE) spoken by the mostly white cast.   Che said in a since-deleted Instagram post that he had written the skit - and said he had never heard of the term AAVE before. He wrote: 'I've been reading about how my 'gen z' sketch was misappropriating AAVE. And I was stunned because what the f*** is AAVE?  'I had to look it up. Turns out it's an acronym for African American Vernacular English. You know, AAVE! That ol' saying that actual Black people use in conversation all the time.' Che added: 'I love AAVE. AAVE to the moon.'  Michael Che, who co-hosts Saturday Night Live's 'Weekend Update,' took to Instagram...
Loveland, Colorado, police are under fire as video footage continues to surface in connection with a lawsuit. Last year, Loveland police officers violently arrested a 73-year-old woman with dementia, resulting in worsened dementia symptoms as well as a fracture in her arm and a dislocated shoulder.  As Karen Garner’s family fights for justice, a new video depicts the cruelty of the officers involved in the incident. In a video released Monday by Garner’s family attorney, Loveland officers can be seen watching the body-cam footage of the incident and laughing. “Ready for the pop?” an officer identified by Garner’s lawyer as Austin Hopp said to other officers while rewatching the footage. “What popped?” another officer asked. “I think it was her shoulder,” Hopp responded. The newly released video is from the day of the incident and depicts officers in the booking area as they laughed about the arrest and Garner sat handcuffed to a bench in a nearby cell, The Denver Post reported. In it, Hopp continues to gloat about the incident and can be heard saying, “I can’t believe I threw a 73-year-old on the ground.” Multiple officers can...

Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch wrote a letter in defense of Tucker Carlson to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) on Sunday after the ADL claimed Carlson used a white supremacist trope during an interview, the Associated Press reported. Murdoch said Carlson “decried and rejected replacement theory” in the same segment the ADL cited to get him fired, according to the Associated Press (AP). “Great replacement” theory is a white supremacist argument that Jews and progressive politicians are trying to replace white people with people of color in the West as a form of social control, the AP noted. ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt responded to Murdoch’s letter Monday, writing that “Mr. Carlson’s attempt to at first dismiss this theory, while in the very next breath endorsing it under cover of ‘a voting rights question,’ does not give him free license to invoke a white supremacist trope,” the outlet reported. Murdoch also made note of the fact that his father, Rupert Murdoch, once received a leadership award from the ADL. Greenblatt went on to say that the ADL “would not do so today,...
IT’S the question at the heart of Line Of Duty – which of its leading characters is secretly the criminal mastermind “H”? Chatting to journalist Elizabeth Day on her How To Fail podcast, he said: “It was a relief for me, as I spent all this time playing this character and I always thought Ted had a sense of duty and a moral core. “And to have found out I was this arch villain . . .  I would have been in real difficulty accepting that. “Jed is aware of our audience and they know Ted has a sense of moral...
Bridgerton breakout star Regé-Jean Page has spoken out after The Hollywood Reporter claimed that he was rejected from SyFy’s Krypton because of his race. Per the bombshell article, former DC Films executive Geoff Johns “said Superman could not have a Black grandfather,” and therefore passed on Page for the role. Johns also allegedly vetoed making one of the show’s characters, Adam Strange, a member of the LGBTQ+ community. The Hollywood Reporter article focused on an interview with Justice League star Ray Fisher, who last year tweeted about director Joss Whedon’s allegedly “gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable” behavior on set. Other bombshells were dropped throughout the report, including the claim about Page’s rejection from Krypton, and a major clash Whedon reportedly had with Gal Gadot on set. Page took to Twitter on Wednesday to address the allegations, revealing how hurt he was by the conversations regarding his race: Hearing about these conversations hurts no less now than it did back then. The clarifications almost hurt more tbh. Still just doing my thing. Still we do the work. We still fly. ???????? — Regé-Jean...
