EVERYONE wants to be pretty, right?  But one woman has revealed the downfalls of being attractive, when she found herself uninvited from her brother’s wedding, because her sister-in-law thought she was too pretty and wanted all the attention on her.  1A woman has taken to Reddit to reveal she was uninvited from her brother's wedding, after her sister-in-law said she was too pretty and didn't want the attention away from herCredit: Getty The woman took to Reddit to explain that she has been uninvited from her brother’s upcoming wedding, after the bride-to-be informed her that she wanted 'all eyes to be on me, not you'. Although she said that she'd be happy to 'skip makeup and wear a simple dress' so as not to outshine the bride on her big day, her sister-in-law wasn't having any of it. According to the dismissed wedding guest, her sister-in-law has always been jealous of her appearance, regularly commenting on her clothes and make-up. Not only this, but her sister-in-law is clearly jealous, as she often tells her she should dress her age -...
SHE was the star behind one of Big Brother's most iconic lines, dramatically screaming to the camera: "Who is she? Who is she? Where did you find her?” Nikki Grahame's famous tantrum came in 2006, when she had just been nominated for eviction by new housemate Susie Verrico - and the outburst turned her into one of the reality show's most iconic ever contestants. 8Despite her sunny persona, Nikki Grahame had been struggling against an eating disorder since childhoodCredit: Rex Yet less known to Nikki's fans was her secret 30-year struggle with anorexia, a battle which tragically ended when she died on April 9, 2021, at the age of 38. Tributes poured in from stars including Rylan Clark-Neal and Aisleyne Horgan- Wallace, and from Big Brother host Davina McCall, who said: "She was the funniest, most bubbly sweetest girl." DEAR MISS MANNERS: Is it not perfectly acceptable for a sister-in-law to call to have a brother-in-law visit the child of his brother (her husband)? I am that sister-in-law, and my irritating, obnoxious sister-in-law (that brother-in-law’s wife) tried to make it seem like it was an unheard-of thing to do: “I could never see myself calling to have my husband’s brother visit his brother’s child.” Neither her husband nor mine (nor even myself, stupidly) corrected her at the time. I wish I had, because even with logic, there is nothing wrong with that. I know it is a rule of etiquette. GENTLE READER: And yet both the logic and the etiquette escape Miss Manners at the moment. (As did the relationships, at first, but she thinks she has sorted them out. An uncle is being asked to visit a niece or nephew, correct? Why so many “in-laws,” “husbands” and “brothers”?) He began: “My sister is getting married next year. She has been 100% bridezilla. Her wedding is probably going to be 100k. Her engagement ring was about 25k.” The sister had already been a year into planning her June wedding when her brother and his own girlfriend of three years decided to quietly get married. The ceremony was officiated by a close friend, and the couple invited no other guests. “My now-wife is 100% different from my sister. She doesn’t care about big weddings or rings or anything like that,” he explained. “It was low-key, and we told everyone over the week what happened. It just felt right for...
DEAR MISS MANNERS: I was responsible for a dinner party being cut short amidst general consternation. Let me explain: I was seated next to a gentleman, previously unknown to me, who grabbed my leg under the table during the entree course. Having been much affected by the #MeToo movement and reports of the behavior of certain public officials, I immediately and loudly called him out for what he was doing. As a result, he and his spouse left, and the whole evening limped to an awkward close. I must admit that my response felt good in the moment, but what is the correct course of action when assaulted by a fellow guest? And what should I write in my thank-you note to my hostess? The brothers of cult mom Lori Vallow Daybell's slain ex-husband, Charles Vallow, denounced claims that he was killed in self-defense and said he was attacked in an 'ambush'. Charles, 62, was shot dead by Lori's brother, Alex Cox, during a custody dispute between the then-married couple in July 2019. Alex and Charles were involved in a physical altercation when shots were fired. Police initially ruled that Alex acted in self defense, but the case was reopened after Lori's children, JJ Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 17, were reported missing in Idaho in November 2019. She and her current husband, Chad Daybell, were charged in the children's deaths, which took place in September of that year. Now, speaking out for the first time since Charles' death, his brothers Gerry and Bobby Vallow are slamming Lori and calling her account of his killing 'inconsistent'. 'That was not self-defense. That was an ambush. There's a lot of inconsistencies about that story,' Bobby said in an exclusive interview with Dateline.   Bobby (left) and Gerry Vallow (right) are speaking out for the first time since...

DEAR ABBY: My mother has had serious health problems lately. She had a brain tumor that was successfully removed. Four weeks later, she needed major colorectal surgery. Jeanne Phillips  I stepped up and used my vacation and sick time to care for her. I don’t earn a lot of money, but I make enough to support myself. During Mom’s illness, my car broke down, and my brother offered to get it repaired since I was with her 24/7 for about six months. I was grateful because I didn’t have time to manage that situation. Said Bouteflika: Brother of deposed Algeria leader cleared of charges
By Libby George LAGOS (Reuters) - It was after midnight in Lagos on Oct. 21 when Elisha Sunday said he got a call from his brother Victor's phone: a stranger told him Victor had been shot dead by soldiers at Lekki Toll Gate. After a sleepless night, he said he went out to find the body but roads towards the upscale neighbourhood were blocked and he heard shooting so turned back. Elisha, 24, said he later saw pictures of his 27-year-old brother on Facebook, draped in a Nigerian flag and covered in blood. After that, the trail went cold. Protesters objecting to police brutality and demanding wide-ranging reforms had held demonstrations across Nigeria for nearly two weeks when witnesses in the Lekki district of Lagos said soldiers and police opened fire on them on Oct. 20. Rights group Amnesty International said 12 protesters were killed in two districts that night, prompting the worst unrest since Nigeria returned to civilian rule in 1999. Both the military and police have denied the shootings. The government ordered state governments to set up judicial...

Tony Bobulinski appeared on Tucker Carlson's Fox News show on Tuesday night and an audio was played of Rob Walker - whose wife works for Jill Biden - allegedly warning Bobulinski not to go public with the information.  ‘You’re just going to bury all of us, man,’ Walker allegedly said in the October 18 conversation. During the interview, Bobulinski also claimed that in 2017, he asked Joe Biden's brother Jim - who was part of their business consortium - how he could 'get away with' all their business dealings. Bobulinski claimed that Jim replied: 'Plausible deniability.' Bobulinski further claimed during the interview that he had met Joe twice - both times in Los Angeles, on the night of May 2, 2017, and the morning of May 3, 2017. Bobulinski previously said he...
