(CNN)President Joe Biden is vowing to ratchet up even more pressure on Vladimir Putin as the Russian leader stages a nationalistic pageant set to highlight the civilization-destroying potential of his nuclear arms in a new round of saber-rattling.Russia's Victory Day celebration on Monday follows a stunning sequence of revelations about the deadly results of US intelligence sharing with Ukraine and after Biden called for a staggering $33 billion haul of arms and aid for Kyiv in another extraordinary step that widened US involvement in the war.America's posture in providing a third country with that level of assistance to wound the US' nuclear superpower rival would have been unthinkable before the invasion, especially given Biden's desire to avoid a direct clash with Moscow. The US role -- at the vanguard of a broad Western front against Putin, which is resulting in heavy losses for the Russian army -- is again raising questions about how far the Kremlin strongman can be pushed before he reacts. Putin has put himself at the center of Russias Victory Day. But he has little to celebrateThe...

In the new pic, Vanderpump snuggled her grandson while posing with him in front of a Christmas tree. How much are migrants trying to enter the United States illegally willing to pay? An alleged border smuggler gave Fox News an idea of just how much the risky operation is worth. The Reynosa, Mexico, man revealed a few quotes through a translator. "If you want to go to Houston … it depends on if you can walk or take a trailer for a vehicle. Trailer is between $5,000 and $7,000 for a person," he told Fox News' Griff Jenkins after estimating the lower cost of getting just over the border — up to $1,500 per person. "Trailer is much better and more secure because it's a long way to walk." BORDER CRISIS CONTINUES, NOVEMBER ENCOUNTERS UP 140% OVER SAME TIME LAST YEAR It can take around eight hours per walk if someone opts to walk over three days, so the trailer is the safer option, he added. (CNN)Here's what Joe Manchin knows: There's no way, no how, that he is voting for the proposed $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill being pushed by Senate Democrats. Here's what Joe Manchin appears to have no clue about: What size spending bill he would vote for. This exchange, which is long but worth it, between CNN's Dana Bash and the West Virginia Democratic Senator on Sunday is illustrative of both of those points: Bash: Do you have a specific number in mind? Manchin: Here's a number you should be getting to. First of all, I have agreed to get onto the reconciliation, because that's the time for us to make financial adjustments and changes. I thought the 2017 tax code and tax law, the way it was changed, was barely -- very, very unfair. And it was weighted to the heavy -- to the wealthy.Read MoreBash: So what's the number?Manchin: And bottom line is, what's -- the number would be what's going to be competitive in our tax code.I believe the corporate rate should be at 25, not 21.Bash: But what's the overall number...
Getty Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr. This season will be a pivotal year for Derek Carr. The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback turned 30 earlier in the year and has yet to play in a playoff game. The team clearly believes in him but a playoff berth would dramatically improve his standing around the NFL. If Carr balls out and the Raiders make the playoffs, Las Vegas may not need a quarterback for a long time. He’s durable and 30 is young for a quarterback these days. In fact, he believes he can go on for a lot longer. “I feel like I can play another 15 years, without a doubt,” Carr said Wednesday. “Nothing’s hurting. It’s the middle of camp, and I feel great. I feel strong, I feel fast, I feel explosive. And I think it’s just the way we train now.” At 44-years-old, Tom Brady is the only modern example of a quarterback playing into their mid-40s as a high-level starter. It sounds like Carr believes he can rival that. ALL the latest Raiders news...
Former President Donald Trump angrily rejected reports that social media bans had sent him sliding into irrelevance, insisting Monday that he was staying out of the headlines so attention would stay on President Joe Biden's troubles with inflation, the border and the Middle East. His comments come as his lieutenants plan a new social media platform to propel Trump back into the daily conversation. And a new poll suggests the former president retains his grip on Republicans, with a majority of the party still proclaiming Trump to be the 'true president.' But in a statement published on his website, Trump hit back at media reports that his online presence was no longer making an impact. Former President Trump, pictured during a visit to Trump Tower in New York Monday, issued a statement saying he had not been doing many media interviews in order to keep attention on President Biden's crises. He blasted claims that his website was struggling for attention and said a new social media platform was coming soon Trump published his statement on 'From the Desk...

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Sunday that public schools are set to reopen in phases for in-person learning starting December 7. In-person learning at preschools, 3-K programs and elementary schools will open on that date. Then schools that serve children with special educational needs, known as District 75 schools, will open on December 10 and middle schools and high schools will reopen at a later, yet to be determined, date. The schools, which make up the country’s largest school system, have been closed since November 19 after the citywide rate of coronavirus tests coming back positive exceeded the three percent benchmark agreed to by the mayor and the teachers' union.  'It’s a new approach because we have so much proof now of how safe schools can be,' De Blasio said at Sunday's coronavirus briefing, saying the three percent benchmark was being scrapped. 'We feel confident that we can keep schools safe,' he added.  New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Sunday that public schools are set to reopen in phases for in-person learning starting December 7...
Hunter Biden is a 50-year-old American lawyer whose elderly father Joe hopes in just over a fortnight to unseat Donald Trump at the U.S. Presidential election. He’s also a twice-married father of five kids (one via a fleeting affair with a former stripper) who has struggled with cocaine and alcohol addiction for most of his adult life and in 2014, when his dad was Barack Obama’s Vice President, managed to get booted out of the U.S. Naval Reserve for failing a drug test. This week saw a vintage ‘October surprise’ when the New York Post obtained footage of Hunter variously: lying in bed smoking a crack pipe; reclining in the bath with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth; and starring in a 12-minute mobile phone video that, in the newspaper’s words, saw him hoofing class A narcotics ‘while engaged in a sex act with an unidentified woman’. Most sensationally — if you believe the Trump camp, that is — it also published leaked emails that appear to implicate Joe in long-standing controversy over his son’s rackety business career. To...
Fr-right white evangelicals have been a major part of President Donald Trump’s MAGA base, and he has been great at parroting their view of the world — including their disdain for abortion. But writer Daniel Silliman, in a September 1 article for Christianity Today, reports that some anti-abortion Christians are conflicted about Trump. Others are flat-out refusing to support his reelection campaign. One abortion opponent who has openly come out against Trump is Stephanie Ranade Krider, former executive director of Ohio Right to Life. Krider, Silliman notes, resigned from that anti-abortion group on June 30 rather than support Trump’s reelection campaign. Krider, an evangelical who had been with Ohio Right to Life since 2009, told Christianity Today, “You learn to hold certain things in tension, and for me, it came to a point where I couldn’t anymore. I’ve been grateful for the things Trump has accomplished and skeptical of his pro-life views. Always, there has been this undercurrent where he just does not respect women and he does not like black and brown people. I can’t look at any of...
Last year must have passed by like a whirlwind for Patrick Mahomes and the rest of his surrounding cast at Kansas City Chiefs. Mahomes and Co. managed to make their way to the Lombardi Trophy after a gap of 50 years with a win over San Francisco 49ers. Mahomes was adjudged as the Super Bowl LIV MVP after a brilliant display in the fourth quarter. Due to his ground-breaking displays over the last two years, Pat Mahomes was rewarded with a mammoth $450 million 10-year contract extension. As part of the deal, Mahomes will remain in Missouri until 2031 at least and stands to make somewhere close to half-a-billion in the next decade. However, despite various individual accolades, Mahomes maintained that his success with the Chiefs is down to his top-notch teammates. Here’s what the 2018 NFL MVP had to say about the likes of Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins, and others. The best NBA season for Phoenix Suns came in 2005 when they had a 62-20 W-L record. Then, they had Steve Nash, Joe Johnson, and some other big names playing for them. But ever since 2015-16, they have been struggling to put a decent show. It is not that the side did not have a good roster to back them, they somehow just failed to impress. But Devin Booker, their shooting guard, has shown some great talent this season. The Suns are entering the NBA Bubble at rank 13th in the Western Conference. A lot will be riding on the 23-YO ‘Book’ who was the 13th pick in Round one (2015) by the Suns. But seems as if something other than Basketball is concerning him lately. The NBA Bubble has given a tough welcome to the players, and here we are with another such story. Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker and his dog tale NBA analyst and former basketball player Kendrick Perkins does not agree with the claims that the Orlando Bubble is not up to the mark. In...
