New York Times senior political correspondent Maggie Haberman said on Wednesday that the Trump family has “some anxiety” about what they said in new footage that she watched that contradicted what Ivanka Trump said to the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol. APPLE is building a fully autonomous high-end EV (electric vehicle) branded toward consumers. The self-driving car’s key selling point is its ability to offer better hardware, software, and service integration. 2Concept art for Apple’s self-driving carCredit: Vanarama Apple labeled its self-driving car initiative “Project Titan” in 2014. MacRumors reports that Project Titan launched near its company’s Cupertino, California, headquarters with around 1,000 car experts. MacRumors shares that Apple’s AI and machine learning chief John Giannandrea leads up the Apple Car project alongside Kevin Lynch. Lynch is known for his work on the Apple Watch. One of Apple’s main goals with Project Titan is to manufacture a car with no steering wheel and no pedals. The tech giant’s focus on improving autonomous driving safety might make it difficult to part ways with its car’s steering-wheel. MacRumors reports concepts for the self-driving vehicle’s infotainment system include a sizable iPad-like touch screen that sits front and center within the vehicle. This infotainment configuration mirrors the design of Tesla’s central touchscreen display. Most read in MotorsMOTORS MUSIC Inside Rick Ross’s garage with 100 cars despite not having...

Week after week, we’ve come to expect certain things from Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, among them wild accusations, a penchant for petulance and more than a bit of bravado about legally dubious behavior. This past week did not disappoint. At a news conference ostensibly called to tamp down on a widening scandal over a deputy who knelt on the head of a handcuffed inmate, Villanueva announced that he was investigating our Times colleague, Alene Tchekmedyian, for reporting about it. Exuding his typical toxic machismo, Villanueva suggested she was in possession of “stolen property” because she had obtained leaked surveillance video. “These three people have some important questions to answer,” he said, pointing to jumbo-sized photos of Tchekmedyian and his political adversaries Eli Vera and Inspector General Max Huntsman. Sure, it took Villanueva less than 12 hours to walk it back — uncharacteristically caving to outrage from politicians and media outlets, led by The Times, that such an investigation of a reporter would violate constitutional law. But don’t assume even for one second that he...
