Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake recently unveiled a new campaign ad showcasing her plans to combat the border crisis if elected. “My border policy is the most aggressive effective border policy this country has ever seen,” Lake told The Arizona Sun Times via text. “A couple of the sheriffs in Texas are finally understanding it and pushing the remedy that is right there in the Constitution. When the federal government fails us in their duty to protect us under Article 4, Section 4, we have the remedy in Article 1, Section 10 of the Constitution to protect our own citizens and stop the invasion.” In her new ad, Lake said Arizona “is under attack.” To fight back, Lake said, as governor, she would make a declaration of invasion, finish the border wall, destroy the cartel’s drug tunnels and surveillance drones, and deploy the Arizona National Guard. “Arizona is our home. And I will do everything in my power to protect our families,” Lake said. Furthermore, Lake told The Sun Times that her Republican gubernatorial opponent, Karrin Taylor Robson,...
U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Protection officers arrested a United States citizen who attempted to smuggle $60,000 worth of methamphetamine in child booster seats at a checkpoint in Murrieta, the agency said. While conducting a vehicle stop north of the Newton Azrak Border Patrol Station on Interstate 15 on Wednesday, agents intercepted a car with two adults and their four children. After inspection, the unit’s K9 team alerted the agents of the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, the agency said. Several packages containing a “white crystal substance” was found inside the three booster seats, and the substance then tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the agency. There was a total of 26.9 pounds of the substance found in the vehicle, equating to a total street value of $60,000, authorities said. Abortion rights supporters hold signs showing U.S. Supreme Court Justices' faces as they participate in a rally and march on May 14, 2022 in New York City. Civil rights advocates slammed a recent ruling that will allow border agents to continue getting away with abuses, saying that the right-wing Supreme Court’s decision “is going to make it harder for people to protect their rights,” Maine Public reports. The justices issued a decision earlier this month that further shields Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers accused of abuses from accountability. Because agents believe that law allows them to harass anyone within 100 miles of a coast or land port, it could make up to 200 million Americans vulnerable to abuse. It’s already happened far from the southern border, advocates said.  RELATED STORY: Right-wing Supreme Court's ruling this week is a win for abusive border agents "There have been incidents here in Maine where immigration officials have stopped people on the highway or questioned people on buses," the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Maine’s Zachary Heiden tells Maine Public. The report notes that the civil rights advocates had...
Republicans and Democrats are introducing legislation this week that would ease the nationwide infant formula shortage as frantic mothers and fathers wade through empty grocery shelves in a struggle to find food for their babies. Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee is working on legislation that would help ensure the safety and prompt delivery of baby formula to American communities for at least six months. The Fixing Our Regulatory Mayhem Upsetting Little Americans bill – or FORMULA Act – would grant a six-month waiver for tariffs on infant formula coming from other countries. It would also grant a waiver on Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations for the same time period, allowing for expedited processes to get it into the hands of parents. 'American babies are going hungry and the federal government is standing in the way,' Lee said in a statement on his upcoming legislative proposal in the upper chamber. 'Current policies, tariffs, quotas, bans, and regulations are preventing mothers and fathers from being able to make the best choices to feed their babies.'  Meanwhile, Democratic Representative Rosa DeLauro, chairwoman...

Leahy: We are delighted to welcome to our newsmaker line, our good friend, recent Nashvillian, Tomi Lahren, Fox Nation. Good morning, Tomi. Lahren: Good morning. And, you know, I’ve almost been here two years now, so I really feel acclimated to Tennessee. I left California almost two years ago and I would never, ever go back. Leahy: The big question for you since you’ve been here for two years, Tomi, I think people will be interested in finding out the answer to this. The new 5th Congressional District in Tennessee, the filing deadline is April 7. Now it’s a very winnable Republican district with Davidson County, Maury County, Williamson County, Wilson County, Marshall, and Lewis County comprising what used to be just primarily Davidson County. Governor Greg Abbott‘s use of the Texas National Guard to protect “some of the wealthiest private ranches” as a part of his $2 billion a year border security mission is being blasted – by some of the very service members ordered to stand guard “outside ranches with wealthy or politically connected owners.” “We really don’t understand why we are there,” one service member told The Texas Tribune. “We’re essentially mall security for ranches that already have paid security details to protect them.” The Texas Tribune’s investigation into the program reveals the National Guard members deployed to protect those wealthy ranches “have widely decried the mission as aimless, political and oversized.” It reportedly was stopped last month after the Tribune started its investigation – and started filing document requests. “Earlier this year,” in one example, “about 30 Texas National Guard members were ordered to stand watch outside some of the most prestigious private ranches in South Texas, more than an hour’s drive away from the Mexico border, as part of Gov. Greg Abbott’s highly touted mission to curb illegal immigration,” the...
While sending nearly $14 billion to help Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, President Joe Biden fiercely opposed a similar amount for a border wall along the United States-Mexico border to stem illegal immigration and drug trafficking. On Wednesday, Biden announced more American taxpayer money would be going toward protecting Ukraine’s borders. Those funds will go to drones, grenade launchers, pistols, rifles, machine guns, shotguns, and ammunition, among other things. With the help of Republicans and Democrats in Congress, Biden is sending nearly $14 billion in aid to Ukraine in addition to about $350 million in military assistance. Biden had initially asked for about $10 billion to help Ukraine. On the U.S.-Mexico border, which remains porous, with skyrocketing illegal immigration, Biden has been opposed to continuing the construction of a border wall. In 2019 and 2020, Biden campaigned against former President Trump’s wall construction project which had cost about $15 billion — only a billion more than what Biden is now spending to protect Ukraine’s borders. “There will not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration,” Biden said in...
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), who is running for Alabama’s open Senate seat, says President Joe Biden is “absolutely in violation” of the United States Constitution by failing to protect states from the “invasion” at the U.S.-Mexico border. During an exclusive interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Saturday, Brooks detailed his recent trip to the border where he witnessed federal immigration officials effectively welcoming border crossers and illegal aliens to the U.S. by loading them on buses before taking them to a processing site, where most are likely to be released into the nation’s interior. LISTEN:  Breitbart · Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) – March 12, 2022 “There is no border security,” Brooks said. “It is outrageous and in my judgment, it violates Article 4 Section 4 of the United States Constitution that requires the federal government to protect states from an invasion … most people think of [an invasion] as an armed force like an army. Nope, that’s not what the word ‘invasion’ means, it’s not so limited,” Brooks continued. “It includes the illegal activity that we’re seeing on our...
President Joe Biden is looking to spend more than $10 billion in American taxpayer money to protect the borders of Ukraine even as he spent $6 million every day to not build a wall along the United States-Mexico border. On Thursday, Punchbowl News reported that Biden will request Congress approve $10 billion in “emergency military and humanitarian aid for Ukraine and Eastern European allies” amid the region’s ongoing conflict. Already, Biden has issued $350 million to help protect Ukraine’s borders. Meanwhile, infrastructure at the U.S.-Mexico border has been neglected for over a year by the Biden administration. Immediately after taking office, Biden halted all construction of border wall, leaving materials to rust in the region’s desert-like weather. In March of 2021, Breitbart News exclusively reported that Biden had been spending about $6 million every day in taxpayer money to not build the border wall. By July, Biden had spent $2 billion to not build the wall, with costs leveling out to about $3 million in taxpayer money wasted every day. Unused pieces of steel bollard-style wall lay near a portion of unfinished...
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo touted the Trump administration’s foreign policy record and contrasted it to that of the Biden administration’s first 14 months during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Friday. “I wish that we were back there leading America,” he said, amid the prospect of Republicans regaining control of at least one chamber of Congress and the prospect of another Trump administration. Pompeo recalled actions taken by former President Donald Trump and the Trump administration to maintain peace for four years, compared to current crises in Afghanistan and Ukraine. “How did we prevail? It was peace through strength. It was Reagan’s model, it was the model we used for four years in the Trump administration. It was America first, and we told people around the world, you cannot tread on us,” said Pompeo. He recalled Trump ordering a strike on Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force leader Qasem Soleimani, who was responsible for the deaths of American troops. “We took a strike that changed history,” he said. He recalled the administration’s move of...

President Joe Biden and his European Union counterpart Ursula von der Leyen on Friday promised to work together to protect Europe's energy supplies - as well as Ukraine's - while the world waits to see whether Russia moves against its neighbor.  'The United States and the EU are working jointly towards continued, sufficient, and timely supply of natural gas to the EU from diverse sources across the globe to avoid supply shocks, including those that could result from a further Russian invasion of Ukraine,' they said in a joint statement. Russia supplies more than 40 percent of European natural gas, putting the region's leaders on edge as fears of an invasion grow.  Russia has massed about 100,000 troops close to Ukraine's border. Moscow denies that it is planning an invasion and officials have in turn accused the West and Ukraine of aggression. The Biden administration has been working on finding alternative supplies of liquified natural gas in case Russia shuts down supplies - or if the West imposes sanctions.     The Biden administration held calls with CEOs of liquefied natural gas...
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott debuted the first part of the state-made border wall Saturday, which he labeled a sharp rebuke of Biden’s "failure to do his job." Abbott authorized the building of the wall six months ago, and then authorized $3 billion funding for the Texas Facilities Commission to bolster the building effort. Abbott stressed that the wall stands on either state land or land that private owners agreed to hand over for the wall.  "Texas is taking what truly is unprecedented action: A state to build a wall on our border, to safeguard the sovereignty of our state and of our nation," Abbott said during Saturday's press conference.  Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Land Commissioner George P. Bush, and Texas Facilities Commissioner Steven Alvis watch a section of the border wall go up following Saturday's press conference.  "Already this year there have been over 1.2 million people apprehended coming over the border illegally," Abbott said, noting the number did not include those who entered undetected.  DRUG CARTELS FLOODING US WITH FENTANYL PILLS THAT COULD KILL YOU, DEA WARNS...
A tech start-up proposed using drones armed with tasers to interrogate and attack migrants attempting to cross the border into the US, a previously unreleased promotional video has revealed. Brinc, founded by Blake Resnick, 21, was allegedly set up in response to the 2017 Las Vegas shooting with the aim of creating non-violent robots to aid with law enforcement, committing to 'never build technologies designed to hurt or kill'. But footage taken in 2018 obtained by The Intercept shows the company's plans to use the drones as weapons against migrants. The 'wall of drones' would operate in place of a physical wall at a third of the price and would be able to detect and track the 'criminals' trying to enter the US, the glossy promotional video claims. Resnick, who recently boasted of a $25million Silicon Valley investment into his company, employed thermal sensors, human detection software and remote interrogation systems linked to border patrol so they could question the migrants remotely. Brinc, founded by Blake Resnick (pictured), 21, made a promotional video on how drones could be used to tase migrants...
Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, blasted Democrats for enabling the border crisis, arguing the Biden administration doesn't want to mitigate it as another migrant caravan treks toward the United States. Rep. Gonzales joined "Fox News Live" on Sunday to discuss the matter while concern spurs worldwide over the omicron COVID variant.  REP. KATKO: BIDEN 'NOT DOING ANYTHING’ TO STOP THE FLOW OF DRUGS COMING ACROSS BORDER, KILLING AMERICANS TONY GONZALES: What they need to do is they need to secure our southern border and they need to secure it from all illegal immigrants coming through. You know, we're in the middle of a global pandemic and this is putting people's lives at risk. Sadly, this administration doesn't want to do anything because if they did, they would. Instead, they're attacking our men and women in green that are trying to protect ourselves and protect our country from this, and I go back to it, where are the House Democrats? You know, I've got a bill that would do a couple of different things. One, it would label cartels as terrorist organizations....
Border police have been blinded with lasers and strobe lights as they struggle to shore up Europe’s eastern frontier defences against the flow of migrants unleashed by Belarus. Polish authorities say soldiers loyal to Alexander Lukashenko, the despotic ruler of the former Soviet republic, have been arming refugees with tear gas as he steps up his so-called ‘hybrid war’ on Europe. The latest escalation of this crisis started on Friday night as Belarus troops ripped down posts next to barbed-wire barriers that the Polish government has installed along 120 miles of the 250-mile border between the two nations. They released video footage showing border guards targeted by strong lasers and bright strobe lighting. A spokesman for the Polish Border Force said about 100 migrants were armed with tear gas, which was used against their guards. Pictured: A grab from a video showing a green laser is shone through a barbed wire fence Lukashenko told a defence magazine yesterday he wanted to deploy Russian Iskander missile systems – which have a range of 300 miles and can carry conventional or nuclear warheads...
Greece is increasing border guards along its border with Turkey in anticipation of a spike in illegal immigration brought on by the chaos in Afghanistan, officials said Monday. In the comings months, some 250 officers will join the 1,500-strong border force and an additional 800 extra border guard personnel will also be hired to staff airports and regions close to the Greece-Turkey border. FILE: Police officers patrol alongside a steel wall at Evros river, near the village of Poros, at the Greek-Turkish border, Greece. (AP) Greece has toughened its migration policy and border policing over the last two years, extending a wall along its land border with Turkey and installing a high-tech surveillance network to try to deter asylum-seekers from making the crossing. The recent increase in personnel was spurred in part by the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan, authorities said.  WEST POINT GRAD BLASTS BIDEN ADMIN'S WEAKNESS IN TALKS WITH TALIBAN: ‘COMPLETE EMBARRASSMENT' Greece has also denied mounting allegations from human rights groups that migrants caught after crossing into Greece are being deported without being allowed to claim asylum. ...
Several Republican lawmakers are standing by Border Patrol agents amid false claims from Democrats that the agents used whips on Haitian migrants attempting to cross the border illegally. Texas GOP Rep. August Pfluger blasted the accusations from Democrats and media members. He remarked in a Tuesday email to Fox News that Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayrokas "used the strongest language" the congressman has "heard from him thus far to condemn his own Border Patrol agents based on an unconfirmed photo." BORDER PATROL COUNCIL VP PUSHES BACK ON MEDIA’S CLAIM OF AGENTS ‘WHIPPING’ MIGRANTS "These agents are desperately trying to carry out their duties despite being woefully understaffed and lacking the resources they urgently need," Pfluger said. "If he is truly ‘horrified’ as he said, he should tell President Biden to stop playing political games with our nation’s security, and return to President Trump’s strong-border policies that were working." "Close the border once and for all," he added. Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, stood by Border Patrol amid the accusations, tweeting his agreement with border agents who blasted President...
Border Patrol Council Vice President Art Del Cueto pushed back against mainstream media claims of agents whipping migrants during an interview on "America Reports" on Tuesday. Del Cueto explained agents are not assigned whips and the techniques used were within safety protocol to protect both the border patrol agent and the horse involved in the incident.  MAYORKAS INSISTS BORDER IS CLOSED AS MIGRANTS STREAM ACROSS ART DEL CUETO: They were not whipping anyone. They don't carry whips. They don't get assigned whips. What they do is a training technique that has been shown to them to make sure that no one takes over their horse. It was to protect the horse, to protect the rider, and to protect the individual that was trying to cause chaos and knock down that rider from that horse. So they twirl the reins to protect everything and make sure everything's done correctly. But nobody was getting whipped, but some members of the media are sure pushing that narrative and our agency and our administration isn't helping much by not saying something about it. WATCH...
A mounted Border Patrol officer was filmed shouting: 'You use your women like this? That's why your country's sh*t' at a migrant at the US southern border. The unnamed guard was filmed squaring up to a group who appeared to be from Haiti along the Rio Grande between Acuna in Mexico and in Del Rio in Texas on Monday  He made the outburst after a male migrant apparently placed some women in front of him before being confronted by the border agent on horseback.  It is unclear who the migrant was, or whether the women he was with were relatives, with the clip shared by Al Jazeera.  The group scattered moments after being confronted by the Border Patrol officer, and it is unclear if they made it into the United States, or returned to Mexico.   Around 15,000 Haitians have gathered at the southern border after hearing that the US would halt deportations because of instability in their home nation. The Caribbean island was hit by the assassination of its president Jovenel Moise in June, with its prime minister Ariel Levy...
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias has called on the European Union to protect the bloc’s external borders in the wake of the crisis in Afghanistan, as some predict a possible wave of migrants. The Greek foreign minister said during a meeting of his counterparts from across the European Union member states that the bloc needs to prioritise evacuating EU nationals from Afghanistan. Mr Dendias added that the EU must protect its external border, of which Greece forms a part, and avoid a new humanitarian crisis, newspaper Proto Thema reports. He added that the EU needed a unified and coordinated approach to migration and that member states must make it clear to countries like Turkey that they would not let them instrumentalise the issue. President Joe Biden did not directly address a question from Fox News’s Peter Doocy Tuesday asking why his administration is continuing to allow untested and unvaccinated illegal immigrants into the country while at the same time urging and in some cases mandating that Americans take the coronavirus vaccine. "You just said there is no wall high enough and no ocean wide enough to protect us from the virus," Doocy asked the president. "So what is the thinking behind letting untested and unvaccinated migrants across the southern border into U.S. cities in record numbers?" BORDER CRISIS SHOWS NO SIGN OF SLOWING AS MIGRANTS POUR IN; FORMER OFFICIALS SLAM ‘NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT' Biden responded by saying that he has not rescinded an order urging migrants who are unvaccinated to go back across the border. "We have not withdrawn the order that is sometimes -- criticized saying that unvaccinated people should go back across the border," Biden said, adding that unaccompanied children are a "different story." Doocy then attempted a follow-up question but was drowned out by other reporters before the president called on...
Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images. Last week, CNN and MSNBC trained their sights on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and other Republican officials amid surging coronavirus cases. At the same time, those outlets ignored the dire coronavirus situation at the southern border as the Biden administration releases illegal immigrants into the United States. “Nearly every county, every county in the state of Florida is listed as a high-transmission area for Covid right now. And There is no sign that Governor DeSantis is going to change course at all,” CNN anchor Jake Tapper snarkily said on Tuesday’s The Lead. On Friday, CNN Newsroom had a segment about Republican Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson planning on calling a special legislative session to amend the state law banning mask mandates in schools amid a spike in coronavirus cases in the state. Anchor Poppy Harlow interviewed a parent and her attorney planning to file a lawsuit on Monday against the amendment. “It is no coincidence that you see a lot of darkness in Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, across the southeast. That’s where we see cases going up,” said CNN anchor John King...
Former Trump senior adviser Stephen Miller joined "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Wednesday to react to a report obtained by Fox News host Tucker Carlson claiming that the military was flying illegal immigrants slamming it as "absolutely not legal." "It violates a wide series of immigration laws that delineate in great depth the precise rules and conditions for how you can enter the country and how you cannot enter the country... This is not about an administration that is unable to protect the border," Miller said. "This is about an administration that in a very purposeful, planned, deliberate, painstaking fashion has turned our Border Patrol and ICE agencies into resettlement agencies." Earlier in the show, Carlson confirmed that the Biden administration used the US military to "secretly" move illegal immigrants throughout the United States, specifically out of the Laughlin Air Force Base in Texas. Carlson read an email from Lt. Col. Matthew Burrows to his subordinates, which was obtained through a whistleblower. "Over the next few days, weeks or months," the note began, "you may see passenger aircraft on our ramp transporting undocumented non-citizens. Please review the attached public affairs guidance on the issue." ...
A candidate in the Texas gubernatorial race criticized incumbent Republican Gov. Greg Abbot for failing to protect Texans from illegal migration in a statement Tuesday evening. Gubernatorial challenger Don Huffines said if he’s elected governor he plans to deploy the entirety of the 20,000 Texas National Guardsmen to the border, finish former President Donald Trump’s border wall and will place economic pressure on Mexico in an attempt to quell cartel activity, according to a statement. Abbott announced plans for the state to build its own border wall on June 16, while blaming the Biden administration for an increasing number of migrants arriving at the southern border. “Our federal government has proven they do not intend to secure the Texas border and never will,” Huffines said in a statement. “Meanwhile, it’s clear Greg Abbott is incapable and unwilling to take the steps necessary to keep Texans safe.” “Our state is under invasion. Thousands of illegal aliens have entered and are continuing to enter Texas under his watch,” he said. “When I am governor, that will end.” I am proud to officially...
A Mexican border city is seeing daily shootouts in the aftermath of a cartel massacre that killed 15 innocent civilians. Authorities managed to arrest nearly 20 gunmen in connection with the incident. The most recent shootout took place on Monday in Reynosa along the Libramiento Monterrey Highway. According to information provided to Breitbart Texas by Tamaulipas authorities, state police officers clashed with and chased a group of cartel gunmen, eventually arresting three. Hours before that shootout, Mexican federal forces fought off an attack near the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge. The violence comes nine days after a faction of the Gulf Cartel killed 15 innocent civilians during a daytime attack in Reynosa. Since then, the city has seen armed and sometimes armored confrontations daily, causing fear and anxiety among locals. Residents implemented self-imposed curfews to clear the streets of innocent motorists after dark. Over the weekend, state authorities arrested 13 Gulf Cartel gunmen directly connected with the Reynosa civilian attack. Officials seized several weapons and tactical equipment. One of the captured individuals was identified as Jorge Ivan “La Vaca” Cardenas Martinez, a...

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and members of his staff would not say Thursday whether they will dispatch resources to Texas and Arizona to help guard the U.S.-Mexican border. The Tennessee Star made repeated attempts Thursday to contact Lee’s Communications Director Laine Arnold — by email, phone, and text. Arnold did not return our messages before Thursday’s stated deadline. This week Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced he will answer the call of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and send resources to the U.S.-Mexico border to “secure the border and protect Americans.” “There was a letter that was recently sent by the governors of Texas and Arizona seeking mutual aid, which we do all of the time in instances of emergency. These states have sent Florida support when we’ve responded to emergencies here in our state, and they wanted support so that they could do what the federal government is either unwilling or unable to do. Secure the border and protect the people,” DeSantis said. “Not...
Florida’s Attorney General Ashley Moody requested Thursday states participate in sending manpower to protect the Texas border from the massive influx of illegal immigrants. AG Ashley Moody on Fox Business Channel said, “I implore other states to follow the lead of Florida, send help,” she said of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ declaration Wednesday to deploy law enforcement officers to the United States-Mexico border to help mitigate the nation’s ongoing illegal immigration crisis. “You have governors in these border states sending out a call for emergency help,” Moody continued. “And I am so proud of Governor DeSantis. Florida is the first state to step up and say, look, we are sending folks to help control this chaos that is created solely due to the actions or inaction of the Biden administration.” “We’re doing it not only to help protect America, we’re doing it to [stem the] tide of violence and drugs into our state of Florida,” she explained. DeSantis said Wednesday Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R)  “recently sent out a call for help to every state in the...
Rep. Jodey Arrington, R-Texas, is introducing a resolution to affirm the rights of states to defend themselves against drug cartels at the U.S. southern border.  In a Friday interview on "The Faulkner Focus" with Harris Faulkner, Arrington cited Article Four of the Constitution as support for his resolution. Article Four offers protection for states from an invasion, which he believes is happening at the border given the presence of armed criminals.   "When the federal government has failed to do its job to defend the border, protect its citizens, then it is the sovereign power and right inherently of the states to defend itself and their citizens," Arrington said. TOM HOMAN: BIDEN BORDER POLICY ‘MOST INHUMANE’ I'VE EVER SEEN AND RISKING 'NATIONAL SECURITY CRISIS' Arrington is not alone in calling for action on the border. Texas Democrat Henry Cuellar called on President Biden and Vice President Harris to visit the border so they may witness the crisis firsthand.  "All I've been asking, this administration and the prior administration, is to listen to the people that live on the border," Cuellar said....
Former Trump administration border officials asked President Joe Biden to dismiss Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for failing to protect the U.S., according to a statement provided to the Daily Caller News Foundation Wednesday. Three Trump-era officials, now with the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), criticized Mayorkas for creating a crisis at the southern border and failing to provide support for border agents in a joint statement Wednesday. Mayorkas has “abjectly failed” to keep the U.S. secure over the last four months, the former officials said. “Instead, he has presided over a reckless abandonment of enforcing America’s immigration laws and securing our borders,” former acting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan, former acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas Homan and former acting Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli said in a joint statement. “It is clear that Mayorkas will not secure the border or enforce the overwhelming majority of our nation’s immigration laws. Thus, every day that he remains secretary of DHS, he is consciously violating his oath of office.” – FAIR’s...
President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is vowing to “protect” Americans along the United States-Mexico border from former President Trump’s border wall as illegal immigration overwhelms their communities. On Friday, DHS officials announced that the agency is taking “initial steps to protect border communities from physical dangers” that they claim are from the construction of border wall conducted by the Trump administration, a press release states. Specifically, DHS officials said the Biden administration will repair the Rio Grande Valley’s flood barrier system in southern Texas, which they claim border wall construction “blew large holes into,” threatening the nearby communities. Also, the agency “will begin necessary backfill projects” in San Diego, California, after they allege that border wall construction resulted in the “improper compaction of soil and construction materials” causing “dangerous erosion” along the border. DHS officials noted that neither project would include “expanding the border barrier” that was being constructed up until Biden halted all construction immediately after taking office. Legal experts have testified to Congress that Biden “100 percent” violated federal law by halting border wall construction...

INGRAHAM: The White House used the excuse of COVID, of course, to limit the number of reporters in attendance — never mind that they could have held the event outside in the Rose Garden, wouldn’t have had to worry about any of that. And of course Biden’s handlers didn’t dare open the president up to a question from our own Peter Doocy. So this is basically a continuation of Biden’s basement strategy on the campaign trail — limit the off the cuff interactions, keep him on note cards, stay away from numbers unless scripted.   Ingraham also slammed Biden for his continued lack of transparency on the immigration crisis at the southern border. INGRAHAM: The American people deserve the truth about what’s happening at the border and they also deserve a clear-eyed assessment from the Biden administration on how they’re going to handle this going forward. But the events of...
The Biden administration is reluctant to refer to the situation on the southwestern border as a “crisis,” preferring to call it a “challenge.” But with nearly 100,000 apprehensions at the border last month alone, that may be a distinction without much difference. Whatever it’s called, this influx of asylum seekers—including a rapidly growing number of unaccompanied, unauthorized minors crossing into the U.S. from Mexico—is a major humanitarian and legal dilemma confronting the new administration, one that previous administrations have also wrestled with. Over the course of the Trump administration more than 5,000 children were forcibly separated from their parents. And in spite of a court order to reunite all children with their families, on the day that Joe Biden was inaugurated more than 600 children remained disconnected from their parents, primarily because locating parents who were deported without their kids has been extremely difficult. That is why President Biden has created a task force headed by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to track down these parents, whatever it takes, and reunite broken families. Meantime, more than 4,200 unaccompanied children are...
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced the Protect America First Act to end Joe Biden’s crisis at the Southern border by halting all immigration for four years, funding and building the wall, expediting the deportation of illegal aliens, rescinding DACA & DAPA, and other measures protecting our national sovereignty. “The ‘Protect America First Act’ is the most comprehensive and thorough piece of border security legislation to be introduced in the 117th Congress. When enacted into law, the ‘Protect America First Act’ will end the flood of illegal border crossings unleashed during the first 50 days of the Biden administration,” Congresswoman Greene said about her groundbreaking immigration bill. “Joe Biden is rewarding human traffickers and coyotes who smuggle illegal aliens across the border. My bill will end these Democrat-created incentives by stopping all immigration during the Biden administration. The ‘Protect America First Act’ will fund and finish the wall, defund sanctuary cities, expedite removal of illegal aliens, repeals Biden’s radical executive orders, and so much more. The ‘Protect America First Act’ is...
Loading the player... Recently, in an internal document, it was revealed that Department of Homeland Security officials knew that deporting Haitian immigrants back to their country during these times of political instability would put them in harm’s way – and did it anyway. Now, lawmakers are asking the Biden administration to step in. Friday, Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez and his Republican colleague, Marco Rubio, led the charge calling for a new round of deportation protections for Haitian immigrants in the US after a year of sweeping deportations, citing COVID-19 as the reasoning. Haiti’s protracted political crisis exacerbates the severe and prolonged humanitarian needs sparked by the 2010 earthquake,” the senators wrote in a letter intended for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Faulkner Focus,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) praised the state’s Gov. Greg Abbott (R) for lifting coronavirus restrictions by stating that people can make their own choices and if businesses “want to have restrictions they can, and then consumers can decide if they want to show up.” Paxton also discussed President Joe Biden’s immigration policies and said Biden is allowing “more COVID” to enter into the U.S. Paxton said, “Gov. Abbott’s moved in the absolute right direction with giving — putting the decision in the hands of people who need to make the decisions about themselves, about their own lives, letting business owners decide what they want to do. If they want to have restrictions they can, and then consumers can decide if they want to show up.” He further stated that the virus “was going to spread one way or the other, and there are certainly things we can do to protect ourselves. But we can’t protect everyone all the time, and it is going to spread to some degree....
A group of asylum seekers waiting in Mexico is calling upon the incoming Biden administration to reverse President Trump’s signature policies on immigration, namely an end to the "Remain in Mexico Policy." The group spoke Tuesday at a virtual press conference organized by Pueblo Sin Fronteras, an immigration rights group known for organizing high-profile migrant caravans in Mexico and Central America. A four-minute video played reiterating demands outlined in an open letter to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. "We are confident that in your new administration, many of the proposals that you have made in your campaign related to the defense of migrants, will be put into practice, as soon as possible," the letter read. The organizers noted that thousands of families have, for more than a year, been waiting at the border in dangerous areas while their asylum requests are being processed. The letter requested the following items be included in Biden’s main agenda: open the U.S. border for asylum seekers, the elimination of Trump’s "Remain in Mexico" policy, waiting lists...

U.S. trade negotiations with the United Kingdom will face bipartisan opposition if British Prime Minister Boris Johnson proceeds with a Brexit maneuver that American lawmakers fear could lead to a renewal of violence in Northern Ireland. “The United States Congress will not support any free trade agreement between the United States and the United Kingdom if the United Kingdom fails to preserve the gains of the Good Friday Agreement and broader peace process,” House Foreign Affairs Chairman Eliot Engel, a Democrat from New York, wrote Tuesday, referring to the 1998 deal that largely ended the Irish sectarian conflict. “If these reported plans were to go forward, it would be difficult to see how these conditions could be met.” Brexit advocates are counting on a free trade agreement with the U.S. But the message from Engel raises the stakes of a legislative debate in London, where Johnson is trying to change the terms of the divorce agreement from the European Union, which was finalized earlier this year after months of bitter negotiations. “We therefore urge you to abandon any...
Photo credit: John Moore/Getty Images. After the protests outside the White House in late May and early June, the Secret Service requested surveillance planes and a helicopter-borne “fast rope” commando team from the Customs and Border Protection agency for additional protection of President Donald Trump. According to the Washington Post, the president’s protection detail asked for additional, militarized support from the CBP after the protestors set minor fires and vandalized parts of Lafayette Park leading up to the June 1 clash where federal forces swept in and drove them out of the park using pepper spray and to facilitate a Trump photo op at the nearby St. John’s Episcopal Church. The move ignited widespread outrage from both religious officials, conservatives, and liberals. In a letter a week later, the Secret Service asked U.S. Customs and Border Protection to provide aircraft that could be used in a rapid-response helicopter operation, the records show. Customs and Border Protection ultimately provided the agency with live information from a surveillance plane, but the Secret Service determined that the helicopter was not necessary, according to administration...
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) stated during an Instagram Live video on Tuesday that “it doesn’t make sense” that federal agencies that are charged with protecting the American homeland would be structured under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). “And, by the way, ICE as an agency, as a structure, should not exist,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “DHS as an agency, the way it is currently organized, someone tell me why it makes sense, why FEMA and CBP and ICE and the Coast Guard should all be part of the same agency. It doesn’t make sense and, in fact, it’s incredibly dangerous when it’s structured that way.” “And so what’s happening is that, um, billions and billions of dollars have gone to ICE and CBP and as we’re talking about police uprisings in this country, I think it’s really important that people understand, do you know what is now the largest law enforcement organization in the United States of America?” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “It’s CBP. It’s Customs and Border Patrol. It’s the largest law enforcement agency in the country.” CBP does not stand for...
