SANTA CLARA — Linebacker Fred Warner’s hit ‘heard round the 49ers’ world did more than spark a training camp brawl. It gave wide receiver Marcus Johnson a concussion, and it also stirred debate on how physical the 49ers are. Coach Kyle Shanahan, speaking Friday for the first time since Tuesday’s hit-triggered brawl, did not condone Warner’s actions nor much of the aftermath, aside from Brandon Aiyuk rushing to combat Warner for leveling Johnson. “I love the intensity of it. I don’t think you have to fight to be intense, though,” Shanahan said. “Scuffles are scuffles, but then they lead to other stuff. “We have a guy in (concussion) protocol because we took an unnecessary shot on someone, which led to the big fight, and then we had a bunch of haymakers thrown in there, which only break hands.” To clarify, no one is known to have sustained a broken hand. However, Johnson is “recovering slowly,” thus hindering his roster chances as a sixth-year veteran who signed in free agency. Immediately after Warner’s hit, he was confronted by Aiyuk, and a...

It proved to be a huge error of judgement as while he went for the ball, which he ultimately fumbled, one of the bails flew into his sensitive area. He crumpled in a heap on the floor as his team-mates rushed to Head to celebrate his wicket. The Aussie squad then burst into laughter after realising what happened. The foreseeable future of actor Ezra Miller and his rocketing career is now in question after Warner Bros. and DC executives reportedly held a secret meeting in the wake of his arrest for alleged disorderly conduct. According to Rolling Stone, a source with familiar knowledge of the purported meeting said executives largely agreed that the studio should “hit pause” on future projects with the actor, who played The Flash in Justice League and will reprise the iconic superhero in the upcoming standalone movie. “The studio has more than a year before it has to make any hard decisions about a potential sequel to The Flash,” Rolling Stone. “Warner Bros. also has avoided making any key decisions on tentpoles ahead of Discovery taking control of WarnerMedia in a $43 billion mega-merger.” Miller — who’s starred in We need to Talk About Kevin, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Fantastic Beasts franchise — was arrested, charged, and released on bail for $500 in Hawaii last month after he allegedly became unruly in a bar as patrons were singing karaoke. Getty Jimmie Ward #1 of the San Francisco 49ers reacts after intercepting a pass in the first quarter against the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game at SoFi Stadium on January 30, 2022 in Inglewood, California. The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams do not like each other very much, and that showed in the NFC Championship. If moments like Rams star Aaron Donald saying he doesn’t know who 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel wasn’t a sign of the current state of the rivalry, the on-field play at SoFi Stadium on January 30 made it clear that the tension between the two sides is very real. Now, the Friday following the Niners’ 20-17 loss to the Rams, the NFL is doling out the penalties for a hard-hitting game. On the 49ers side, safety Jimmie Ward was hit with a $20,000 for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Rams receiver Odell Beckham Jr. “The NFL fined #49ers DB Jimmie Ward $20,000 for unnecessary roughness,” NFL media insider Tom Pelissero Tweeted. “A helmet-to-helmet hit against Odell Beckham Jr. —...
Getty Fred Warner #54 of the San Francisco 49ers celebrates after the team defeated the Los Angeles Rams at Levi's Stadium on November 15, 2021. On one of the biggest plays of the first half of the NFC Championship, San Francisco 49ers star Fred Warner was looking for Los Angeles Rams QB Matt Stafford. The key part of the play was the ball ending up in the hands of 49ers safety Jimmie Ward. After the Rams drove deep into Niners territory, Stafford attempted to fit in a pass for a touchdown that was then tipped and then picked off by Ward. However, what wasn’t initially seen on the NFL’s broadcast of the January 30 game was Warner going after Stafford after the throw. Warner came behind the Rams QB and delivered a headbutt hit as Ward made the pick. MARION, Ohio (AP) — A county judge and his wife were convicted on multiple charges after they left the scene of a hit-and-run crash that injured a 19-year-old man last week, the state Attorney General’s office announced Wednesday. The verdict means Jason Warner, 50, who serves as a Marion County Common Pleas judge, will lose his post because state law bars a convicted felon from serving as a judge. He was elected in November 2018 but has been on a leave of absence. His wife, Julia, 53, who was driving the car, was also convicted on those charges and two counts of misdemeanor negligent assault. They are due to be sentenced April 14. The charges stem from a crash in Marion last June. Authorities have said Julia Warner failed to yield while turning and collided with another vehicle, which then hit a utility pole. New York (CNN Business)The box office numbers are in, and Warner Bros. says "Wonder Woman 1984" is a hit.The "Wonder Woman" sequel debuted at an estimated $16.7 million in the United States during the holiday weekend, Warner Bros. said on Sunday. The film has brought in $85 million worldwide at the box office so far. By comparison, the first "Wonder Woman" movie in 2017 debuted to a $103 million domestic box office opening in its first weekend, and it ultimately grossed $822 million around the world. But that was a different time, before the virus, when people were unafraid to go to theaters. "Wonder Woman 1984" debuted in 2,100 theaters nationwide -- half of what the number that screened the first Wonder Woman movie during its opening weekend.Although Warner Bros. said the "Wonder Woman 1984" opening was a record high for the pandemic, that's a difficult number to assess. Some theaters that were open earlier in the year are now closed, and likewise many that had been closed have since opened.Nevertheless, the studio called the movie's debut a success, leading...

A Columbus, Ohio, nightclub was cited for breaking coronavirus restrictions after allowing more than 500 people into a Saturday concert given by R&B singer Trey Songz. Authorities cited the Aftermath nightclub for improper conduct and disorderly activities for serving alcohol, and for not requiring masks and social distancing by their patrons, according to Variety. “Basically, it was just a concert environment,” said Ohio Investigative Unit enforcement commander Eric Wolf. “If you had taken that event and put it in 2019, it would have been pretty much the same concert, same event that was taking place last night.” “As far as the size of the crowd, the complete disregard for department of health orders, yes this is the extreme side,” Wolf continued. Wolf added that his office referred the case to the Ohio Liquor Control Commission to review the violations for possible revocation of the nightclub’s operations licenses. Photos of the concert published by Columbus TV station NBC 4, seem to show a packed house with many concert goers going without a mask. Franklin County is currently under a 10 p.m....

Anybody planning on seeing a movie in 2020 better add it to their calendar in pencil. On Monday, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ “Dune” became the latest in a slew of Hollywood films to delay its release due to the coronavirus pandemic. Director Denis Villeneuve’s big-budget adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel, starring Timothée Chalamet, will shift from Dec. 18 to Oct. 21, 2021, Warner Bros. said. Studios initially pushed release dates only slightly at the onset of the pandemic but found that many cinemas remained closed months later. So, more dramatic schedule changes — sometimes to more than a year from now — have become the norm. Timothée Chalamet and Rebecca Ferguson©Warner Bros/Courtesy Everett In September, Disney kicked several major 2020 movies to 2021, including Marvel’s “Black Widow” (May 7) and Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story” (Dec. 10). Last week, the new James Bond film, “No Time To Die” announced it will debut April 2, 2021 instead of this November. With six years since “Spectre,” this marks the longest gap between 007 movies since 1989’s “License to Kill” and 1995’s...
SENATOR Mark Warner has said that there's "less support for another straight stimulus check" and that the focus is on helping the hardest hit Americans. Senate Republicans are reportedly working on a new, slimmed-down coronavirus relief package that extends unemployment benefits - but scraps another round of $1,200 checks for eligible Americans. The $500billion package would reportedly be more focused on providing financial assistance to people who find themselves out of work, as well as small businesses, according to ABC News. However...
John David Washington stars in the upcoming spy-thriller "Tenet" from director Christopher Nolan.Warner Bros. Warner Bros. is staggering its release of Christopher Nolan's much anticipated spy-thriller "Tenet." The film, which has been delayed a number of times due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, will debut on Aug. 26 internationally before opening in select cities in the U.S. over the Labor Day weekend. This is an unusual move for such a high-profile feature. Typically, studios look to release big blockbusters all in the same weekend to avoid spoilers or pirated copies entering the space before the film is made available to a large segment of the public. However, the strategy will allow Warner Bros. and international theaters to ring up some ticket sales. Exhibitors in the U.S. that have opened during the pandemic have been forced to show library titles like "Star Wars" and "Jurassic Park." Internationally, some countries have been able to release new local titles to some success. VIDEO4:1304:13Disney delays multiple filmsFast MoneyRelated Tags Coronavirus: Business Coronavirus AT&T Inc Entertainment Breaking News: Business
