YES, I was prepared for the exhaustion, the sleepless nights and the sitting in soft plays that smell of feet, but I wasn’t ready for the complete numbness you can feel when you have a baby. People call it the “baby blues”, but that doesn’t even come close to what I felt. 1I wasn’t ready for the complete numbness you can feel when you have a baby I would get those extreme highs from cuddles, then crushing lows when I was unable to get up the stairs because of my C-section scar. My husband Matt [Farquharson, 45, author and journalist] and I went through three miscarriages before we had our eldest daughter Mae, now eight. The mother of the teenage girl who was raped by a boy in a skirt in a Virginia school bathroom says she and her husband were pressured to remain silent about the incident, and had no idea their daughter's attacker had been allowed back in school until last month.  'We were silenced for many months,' Jessica Smith told DailyMail.com, in her first interview since her daughter was sexually assaulted by a 15-year-old classmate at Stone Bridge High School in Loudoun County in May.  'We were told not to say a word that could jeopardize our daughter's case.' The case of a woman wrongly convicted of murdering her ex-lover's teenage daughter on the Costa Del Sol is re-examined in a new Netflix documentary.  Murder on the Coast, which will be released on June 23, recounts how a media circus and widespread homophobia led to the arrest, trial, and eventual conviction of Maria Dolores Vázquez after Dutch-Spanish teen Rocio Wanninkhof, 19, was stabbed to death in 1999.   Vázquez, now 69, was Rocio's mother's estranged lover at the time of the crime, and was arrested and convicted of murder with no evidence. She was portrayed as a 'predatory lesbian' by the Spanish media, which is thought to have influenced the jury.  In 2003, while investigating the murder of 17-year-old Sonia Carabantes, police found that DNA at the crime scene matched DNA found on Rocio's body, which belonged to British sex offender Tony Alexander King.  In 2005, King was convicted of murder in Sonia's case and sentenced to 36 years in prison with an additional seven years for an unrelated sexual attack. RaeLa’s father went to fetch help and came home with another woman who helped her until paramedics arrived. The woman, who was not a doctor herself, allegedly told Morris she couldn’t breastfeed RaeLa because the baby wasn’t breathing.               The Memphis government is mandating the use of masks in many instances, with detailed instructions on when to do so or who may be exempt. Mayor Jim Strickland signed a mask ordinance Thursday, WREG reported. The city council approved the ordinance 9-4 last week. People are required to wear facial coverings in businesses, government offices, hospitals, public transit and some public spaces within the city limits during the current public health emergency. They’re even required while standing in line outside a business. Enforcement is expected to be enforced by warnings for initial violations but no monetary fines or criminal penalties. Businesses may be fined $100. The ordinance is available here. It is highly detailed on the dos and don’ts of wearing masks. The government does give its permission for restaurant patrons to remove their masks when they are seated for dining. Because bicyclists and runners expel airborne particles more forcefully, they should take such precautions as wearing a mask when possible, crossing the street when there are pedestrians and “never spitting.” Unconscious people are...
