Suspended Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross isn't appealing his NFL-imposed punishment over tampering allegations involving Tom Brady, but that doesn't mean the billionaire real estate developer is happy. As Pro Football Talk reported Tuesday, Ross is 'going apes***' over the penalty, which includes the Dolphins forfeiting a 2023 first-round pick and a third-rounder in 2024. Furthermore, Ross was fined $1.5 million and banned until October 17. He is prohibited from entering the Dolphins' facility before then. Specifically, Ross and the Dolphins are accused of making impermissible contact with Brady, the legendary Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, and now-former New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton while the two were under contract. Ross allegedly tried to make Brady a team executive and limited partner. Ross did avoid any punishment over former head coach Brian Flores's tanking allegations. Flores sued the team and the NFL for racial discrimination after being fired in January, and has since taken a defensive assistant position under Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin in Pittsburgh. As Pro Football Talk reported Tuesday, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross (pictured) is 'going apes***' over...
Billionaire LA Mayoral candidate Rick Caruso has brushed off his opponent Karen Bass's endorsement by President Biden and VP Kamala Harris, saying it does nothing to eradicate her 'failing record' on tackling homelessness and safety in the city.  The formerly Republican Caruso, who made his fortune in real estate development, has been endorsed by celebrities including Kim Kardashian and Gwyneth Paltrow.  He is running on a platform of cracking down on crime and disorder in the increasingly lawless city, and wants to bring an end to the famously left-wing leaders who he says are to blame for the current state of affairs.  Among them, he says, is Bass - who has served as the Democratic congresswoman for California's 37th District since 2011.  In a tweet on Tuesday night, after Biden and Harris endorsed her, he said: 'No endorsement will hide the fact that Karen Bass has a track record of failing to address LA’s homelessness, public safety, and corruption.  LA Mayoral candidate Rick Caruso said Biden and Harris's endorsement of his opponent does nothing to erase her record Karen Bass with...
It must have been quite a bash. Two of the 10 richest men in the world – who were allegedly involved in a love triangle with one of their wives – were pictured looking the worse for wear in a daytime shot.   Google founder Sergey Brin appeared to be drinking white wine from a plastic cup rather than the hand cut lead crystal he could clearly afford. He also seemed to be putting his arm around a woman's shoulder while a second woman with dyed pink hair had her back to the camera. And Elon Musk was unshaven as he guffawed into the camera wearing a collarless Henley shirt. Now DailyMail.com can reveal exactly where the party picture was taken and how the alleged love rivals came to be seen in the same shot. They were at a party in tony Half Moon Bay, California, to celebrate the 40th birthday of Genevieve Jurvetson, wife of entrepreneur Steve Jurvetson, who sits on the board of Musk's SpaceX. Jurvetson, 55, is himself a billionaire, but with nowhere near the fortune of his...
Like so many people celebrating milestones during the height of the pandemic, Sir Richard Branson was forced to put his 70th birthday party on hold two years ago.  But the British billionaire made up for lost time when he finally marked the milestone with a bumper birthday bash on the high seas last week.  Sir Richard, now 72, was surprised with a five-night Caribbean cruise onboard one of his luxury adults-only Virgin Voyages ships, taking in Miami, Mexico and Bimini in the Bahamas. Friends including Spanx founder Sarah Blakely and glamorous Dutch model-actress Nicolette van Dam toasted his birthday at a string of events including a white party and a 'Richard Through the Decades' soiree.  Musician son Sam, 37, performed a song called Sympathy For The Legend - inspired by the Rolling Stones hit - and proud daughter Holly, 40, was by her father's side as the group sung a chorus of Happy Birthday in the ship's two-storey club.  'The first big surprise was seeing everyone dressed as different moments from throughout my life,' Sir Richard wrote in a blog post...
New York has returned looted artifacts worth $14million to Italy after investigators seized them from the black market - including dozens of relics recovered from billionaire Michael Steinhardt's collection.    Among the artifacts returned to Italy was a fresco depicting a child Hercules strangling a snake and three fresco paintings stolen from Paestum, an ancient Greek city in southern Italy, and dating back to the fourth century B.C.  The items, which were handed to Italian officials in New York on Wednesday, will be housed in the new Museum of Rescued Art in Rome.  Manhattan district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg Jr., said: 'These artifacts deserve a place in their homeland, where the people of Italy can jointly appreciate the marvels of their country's past.  'There are far too many important cultural artifacts being illegally looted and trafficked across the globe.' The Manhattan District Attorney's office seized 180 items from Steinhardt, 81, in a landmark deal announced in December which allowed the billionaire to avoid prosecution over the looted collection. He owned relics included a stag's head drinking vessel from Greece dating from 400 BC...
Twitter's legal complaint accusing Elon Musk of violating his $44 billion takeover agreement includes an unusual exhibit: a tweet from the billionaire containing the poop emoji. The lawsuit filed on Tuesday in Delaware cites Musk's May 16 tweet, among others, as evidence that he publicly disparaged Twitter, in violation of the merger agreement, before he backed out of the deal entirely. Musk's tweet with the smiling poop emoji came in response to Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, who had sent several tweets explaining the company's procedures to combat spam and fake accounts, a battle Agrawal described as 'dynamic.' Last week, Musk said he was terminating the buyout deal over concerns about bots and fake accounts, and he responded to the lawsuit with a tweet explaining that his use of the colorful emoji was shorthand for 'BS', a common abbreviation for 'bulls**t.' Now Twitter is seeking a court judgement to force Musk to buy the company at $54.20 per share, as he agreed in the April 25 merger deal -- and many legal and financial experts believe the social media platform has...
Storm clouds are rumbling over Silicon Valley. Twitter’s share price is tumbling, its executives are marshalling their lawyers and its users are heaping scorn on the man whose mercurial behaviour has, once again, shaken up the technology industry. Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, is pulling out of his $44 billion (£36.7 billion) bid to buy the social media giant: a huge blow to the financially struggling company that it has promised to fight. Strangely, however, the outspoken entrepreneur, who never normally shrinks from a scrap, has gone deathly quiet on Twitter itself, where he has more than 100 million followers. As of yesterday, several of his latest tweets were instead about one of his favourite hobby horses, the world’s declining population. Musk is pictured with first wife Justine. The couple had six children together before an icy split ‘Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis,’ he intoned. ‘A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilisation faces by far.’ He added: ‘I hope you have big families and congrats to those who already do!’ The 51-year-old Tesla tycoon...

Infamous 'Pharma Bro' Martin Shkreli slammed billionaire Mark Cuban's new online pharmacy for making what he says are 'largely false' claims about its cost savings. Shkreli - once dubbed the 'most hated man in America' for jacking up the price of a life-saving drug 5,000 percent - launched his Substack newsletter on Monday with a snarky post criticizing Cuban's company, Cost Plus Drugs. He accused the billionaire's internet pharmacy of not being transparent about medication and shipping costs to make it appear as if savings were greater. The convicted fraudster also deemed Cost Plus Drugs a doomed venture that 'will not be profitable' and questioned if Cuban will 'keep it alive for his ego’s sake.' DailyMail.com has sought comment from Cuban.  Shkreli, who once led Vyera Pharmaceuticals, became infamous in 2015 for jacking up the price of life-saving AIDS drug Daraprim from $13.50 to $750.  He was convicted of two counts of securities fraud and a single count of conspiracy in 2017 and sentenced to seven years in prison in 2018. Shkreli was released early in May and transported to a halfway...
James Packer has quit taking seven different 'mood-altering drugs' that doctors prescribed from him amid investigations into his casinos - with the billionaire revealing he's now the happiest he's been for years. The 54-year-old former executive chair of Crown Resorts said he is now free of the drugs which were prescribed to help with his mental health challenges, including bipolar disorder. Mr Packer is now hoping to 'rehabilitate' his reputation in Australia and embrace a life of health and wellbeing after shedding 25kg in just over two months. 'I got off all my antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs in March,' he told The Weekend Australian from his home in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Former Crown owner James Packer (above) said he wants to 'rehabilitate' his reputation in Australia after selling his casino empire and coming off seven kinds of 'mood-altering drugs' that were prescribed by doctors  'In 10 years, and hopefully before then, I hope to have rehabilitated my reputation in Australia and elsewhere.' Mr Packer sold Crown to private investment company Blackstone for $8.9billion in a deal that was finalised last week, with the...
The bulk of Warren Buffett's $93.4 billion estate could go to his little-known family foundation that supports abortion rights - and not to the Gates Foundation as executives have been planning. For years, executives at the Gates Foundation have expected the billionaire to donate the majority of his shares in his company, Berkshire Hathaway, to the global organization after he dies - and have been discussing how best to use the money, according to the Wall Street Journal. He had previously pledged in 2006 to earmark 85 percent of his stock in his company for charity - with five-sixth of the shares going to the Gates Foundation over the course of his lifetime. From there, he pledged to give a set, annually declining number of Berkshire "B" shares, to the Gates Foundation as well as the four foundations run by his family members, according to Fortune. But his 2006 letter was vague about what would happen to his fortune when he dies, with Buffett only writing at the time to the Gateses: 'I will soon write a new will that...
Investors asking tech firms for a path to profitability are "not going to love what they see," said Orlando Bravo, founder of buyout firm Thoma Bravo.Eva Marie Uzcategui | Bloomberg via Getty Images Private equity boss Orlando Bravo has a somber warning for the technology industry. "I think there's more pain to come," Bravo, founder of buyout firm Thoma Bravo, told CNBC's "Squawk Box Europe" Thursday. For years, the tech sector has led the stock market, with the likes of Apple and Microsoft becoming some of the most valuable companies in the world. But in 2022, tech stocks have faced a reckoning as central banks move to tame runaway inflation. The U.S. Federal Reserve on Wednesday made its most aggressive interest rate hike since 1994. Higher rates make growth-oriented companies' future earnings less attractive. Tech companies, especially those backed by venture capital, tend to prioritize growth over short-term profitability. "When those companies really start getting down to answering the investor question, the path to profitability, they're not going to love what they see," said Bravo. Bravo has a net worth...
The list of active billionaire athletes has now doubled with the long-anticipated addition of golf legend Tiger Woods. Just days after Forbes estimated LeBron James's net worth to be north of $1 billion, the financial news outlet is now pegging Woods's fortune at more than $1.7 billion, including winnings, endorsements and other investments. Remarkably, Woods reached the billion-dollar plateau without taking money from the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational Series, which pried rival Phil Mickelson away from the PGA Tour with a reported $200 million contract. That tour was prepared to give Woods a 'mind-blowingly enormous [deal],' LIV Golf CEO Greg Normal told the Washington Post: 'We're talking about high nine digits.' Woods and James joined another Nike-endorsed athlete, Michael Jordan, as the only athletes – active or retired – with billion-dollar fortunes. DENVER (CBS4) – It’s a conversation being had by many people around the state. Coloradans curious to see what the new Denver Broncos ownership will mean for them, after it was announced Walmart heir and billionaire Robson Walton would now be the new man running the show. “There’s been discussion of the new ownership and excitement in that,” said Jason Bilodeaux, the owner of Over Yonder Brewing Company. “I just hope they can keep good revenue coming through here.” (credit: CBS) From an economic standpoint, experts like Metro State senior lecturer Darrin Duber-Smith said this sale is a win-win. Duber-Smith said that’s because Walton is a billionaire, and many billionaires inherit their money, and they aren’t necessarily interested in turning a profit. “We get to keep our team. We have an owner who’s never going to ask us for dollar. I would be surprised if any prices go up,” he said. “They’re going to be much more interested in building a winning franchise. They spend most of their time giving their money away, and running foundations and philanthropies like that....
Twitter plans to comply with Elon Musk's demand for data on fake accounts and will unleash its full data stream on the billionaire, according to a new report.  Twitter will provide Musk with access to its so-called 'firehose', a stream of data including more than 500 million tweets posted every day, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday, citing a person familiar with the company's thinking. The firehose, which is currently available to a handful of companies for an undisclosed subscription fee, could be released to Musk as soon as this week, the people said.  Musk warned Twitter on Monday that he might walk away from his $44 billion deal to acquire the company if it fails to provide the data on spam and fake accounts that he seeks. LeBron James might claim just to be a kid from Akron, but he keeps making history and recently became the first active NBA player to become a billionaire. The four-time NBA champion's net worth of $1 billion was reported by Forbes on Thursday, which said James, 37, earned roughly $121.2 million last year. "It's my biggest milestone," James said in a 2014 interview. "Obviously, I want to maximize my business. And if I happen to get it, if I happen to be a billion-dollar athlete. Hip hip, hooray! Elon Musk posted a poll this week to his Twitter account asking his followers who they trust less: billionaires or politicians. The potential Twitter owner and billionaire has been jumping into politics plenty lately, taking swipes at wokeism and both major political parties, but revealing he’ll be voting Republican in the fall. After the results of his poll came in, he also continued what appears to be a growing feud with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). More than 2.6 million people have voted in the poll — Musk has over 95 million followers — as of this writing, with approximately 76 percent of respondents said they trust billionaires more, while around 24 percent said politicians were more trustworthy. In a follow-up tweet, Musk “dared” Ocasio-Cortez to put out the same poll to her own followers. The New York congresswoman has 13 million Twitter followers. “@aoc I dare you to run the same poll with your followers,” Musk tweeted to her. Joe Russell, a Hollywood producer who has worked on spots for billionaires seeking political office, was on a date with his wife at the Grove on a recent afternoon when he took a break to talk about the suddenly relevant phenomenon of L.A. billionaires seeking public office. The Grove was developed by Rick Caruso, a real estate mogul who seeks to trounce a field of experienced elected officials to become Los Angeles’ next mayor. He has spent millions of his own money to get his name out, and his run comes as many feel that homelessness and rising crime are overwhelming the city, at least partly because of poverty and gross inequality. Russell, whose political credentials include campaigns for Tom Steyer, a billionaire who ran for California governor in 2018, and Michael Bloomberg, a billionaire who served as New York’s mayor and ran for president in 2020, said he could well understand why Caruso would run. “If you’re the top in business, you might think, maybe I’ll get into politics,” he said. But the producer, who is...
A Swiss-born billionaire who funneled hundreds of millions to left-leaning US groups may have violated bans against political donations by foreign nationals, according to a lawsuit. Hansjorg Wyss, who has an estimated net worth of $5.1 billion and in lives in Wyoming, has become a major donor to liberal groups in recent years, but remains tight-lipped about his citizenship status. Foreign nationals who don't hold US green cards are barred from making direct donations to candidates for office or political action committees, but they are are allowed to contribute to advocacy groups that seek to sway public policy. In recently filed lawsuit, watchdog group Americans for Public Trust challenged that distinction, accusing the Federal Election Commission of acting too slowly on a complaint it filed against Wyss in May 2021. Chelsea have confirmed that terms have been agreed for Todd Boehly to complete his £4.25billion takeover of the club. Boehly's consortium was named as the preferred bidder to take over at Stamford Bridge by the Raine Group, the American bank who are overseeing the sale. He has partnered with fellow Dodgers owner Mark Walter, Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss as well as investment firm Clearlake Capital. Boehly saw off competition from consortiums fronted by Stephen Pagliuca and Sir Martin Broughton and even a late £4.25bn bid from Britain's richest man Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Eldridge Industries chief executive Boehly was in London on Friday night, and is expected to attend Chelsea's Premier League clash with Wolves at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.  Chelsea confirmed on their official website in the early hours of Saturday morning that Boehly and his consortium can purchase the club, following the UK Government's approval.  The statement read: 'Chelsea Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjoerg Wyss, to acquire the Club. The Federal Communications Commission has said it won't interfere with Elon Musk's $44billion Twitter deal, saying it would be un-American for any arm of government to block the sale.  Trump-appointed FCC Commissioner Nathan Simington issued a press release on Monday dismissing requests for the agency to stop Elon Musk from acquiring Twitter. 'The FCC cannot, and should not, block this sale. We should instead applaud Mr. Musk for doing something about a serious problem that government has so far failed to address,' Simingtong wrote.  He continued: '...I am particularly troubled by arguments that the federal government must act with the purpose of stopping Mr. Musk from enshrining free expression on Twitter. The only merit in such proposals is their candor in proposing something so blatantly illegal.  'It would be not only unconstitutional, but plainly un-American, for any arm of the government to act against Twitter or Mr. Musk for such a purpose.'   Simington said the FCC did not have authority to regulate internet platforms like Twitter, but even if it did, there was 'no reason to think the deal would limit competition...

He's called himself a "free speech absolutist" and many employees are concerned with the expected rollback of their moderation techniques. It has been one of the most dramatic takeover attempts in history, seeing a swashbuckling billionaire pitted against one of the largest tech giants in the world. But Elon Musk's seizing of Twitter has been a months-long pursuit that has seen him send shockwaves through the world of business. The Tesla magnate started hoarding shares in the social media firm at the start of the year in an apparent bid to preserve free speech online. He quickly rocketed to the top of its shareholders' list, acquiring a huge nine per cent stake in the tech giant. But then he hit choppy waters, accepting a place on the board then rejecting it, getting embroiled in lawsuits and seeing rival companies circle to buy Twitter. Meanwhile bosses at the social media firm appeared to do all they could to ensure he could not not seize it - even launching a 'poison pill' strategy to sink his chances. Yet Musk brazenly blasted through all the obstacles, punting a $43billion offer earlier this month and showing how he would finance it. As the entrepreneur looks set to...
Longtime bachelor Al Pacino may have finally met his romantic match in new girlfriend Noor Alfallah, who at the age of 28 is 53 years the actor's junior.  News of the couple's age-gap romance hit headlines this past weekend after they were spotted enjoying a dinner date together in Los Angeles on Saturday night - and now, new details about their relationship have emerged, with sources claiming that they have been seeing each other since the pandemic.  Speaking to Page Six, an unnamed insider added that the age difference between The Godfather actor and the Kuwaiti-American film producer 'doesn't seem to be a problem,' despite the fact that Al is 'older than [Noor's] father.' The insider added: 'She mostly dates very rich older men.' This is not the first time that Noor has enjoyed a relationship with an older Hollywood heavyweight; she dated Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger in 2017, when the rocker was 74 and she was just 22.  Following the end of their romance, Noor revealed her thoughts on their age difference - admitting that plenty of 'people made...
By Anna Maria Basquez (CBS4) – The favorite bidder in the bid to own the Denver Broncos has net worth that regularly doubles, spends little time in offices because he’s out asking questions to make changes, and has an affinity for cycling, hunting, bio-safari, racing and collector cars, according to Prabook.com, an online biographical encyclopedia. And he has an all-star past as a football player. S. Robson Walton, 77, is expected to make a bid to own the Denver Broncos for $4.5 billion to $5 billion, and is considered the favorite bidder, according to the New York Post. Sports Illustrated wrote recently: “If he makes this offer, it would become the largest bid for an NFL team in history.” Walton is noted for being an all-state football player in his native Oklahoma, went on to play at a small liberal arts college and told Prabook.com, joking, “I was small but slow as a college tackle.” Local and national biographies are profiling the heir more frequently as the American football public waits to find out the next owner of the Denver...
Billionaire Elon Musk is attempting to expand his booming business with a shock attempt to take over Twitter - which he would add to his already impressive roster of companies, including Tesla and SpaceX. But while the eccentric businessman - who is the richest man in the world with an estimated net worth of $260 billion - is known around the world for his professional endeavors, quirky lifestyle, and rocky romances, his life has not always been so high-profile.  In fact, Musk, 50, experienced a difficult childhood thanks to a rocky relationship with his father - who the SpaceX founder has described as 'evil' in the past and a seemingly-lonely upbringing.  Now, it seems, Musk has moved far past the tough times, in order to attempt to once again make financial history with his attempted takeover of Twitter.   The SpaceX founder announced on Wednesday that he wants to buy Twitter for $41.39 billion - offering $54.20 per share in cash.  It's been reported that Twitter's board of directors is meeting on Thursday afternoon to discuss Musk's historic bid and 'carefully review the...
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal appears to be the man who will decide whether Elon Musk can seize control of Twitter. The Saudi Arabian royal, who is a major shareholder in the tech giant, rejected the $41billion floated by the Tesla billionaire today. But the 67-year-old hinted he would be open to idea if the business magnate can stump up more funds. Despite finding himself at the center of the fight over one of the world's most used social media websites, Prince Alwaleed has not always had it easy. He nearly lost everything when his cousin Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had him arrested and grabbed $2billion worth of his assets in the Middle East. Mark Walter has reportedly backed LA Dodgers co-owner Todd Boehly by joining the latter's bid to buy Chelsea. The US billionaire, himself worth an estimate £3.3billion ($4.4bn), has according to The Athletic and The Telegraph joined the consortium bidding to own the Premier League side. There is however no indication how much money the 62-year-old could or will contribute to the bid, which will have to be submitted by Thursday April 14. That is the new deadline set for the four bidders looking to buy the club, handing the interested parties an extension from the initial cut-off date of Monday April 11 to finalise their offers.  The bidding process is being overseen by Raine, the merchant bank appointed by Roman Abramovich to find buyers before his assets were frozen by UK Government sanctions in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.   The Raine Group are also said to be waiting for clearance from the Premier League before presenting a preferred buyer to the UK government. Billionaire hedge fund founder Ray Dalio has warned that the US economy is headed for 'stagflation' similar to that of the 1970s.  'I think that most likely what we're going to have is a period of stagflation. And then you have to understand how to build a portfolio that's balanced for that kind of an environment,' Dalio told Yahoo Finance in an interview published on Monday.  Stagflation is defined as a period of high inflation paired with an economic slowdown and rising unemployment -- an unusual combination that the US faced in the 1970s, when oil crises and failed monetary policy stunned the economy.  'The past is a guide to what's happening now,' said Dalio, the founder of Bridgewater Associates. 'The environment that we're in is beginning to be very much like that of the 1970s.' Billionaire hedge fund founder Ray Dalio has warned that the US economy is headed for 'stagflation' similar to that of the 1970s Inflation is currently running at its highest level in 40 years, with the consumer price index hitting a 7.9 percent annual rate...
A self-exiled oligarch who was once Russia's richest man has called out the country's billionaire elites, saying they must publicly declare Vladimir Putin a war criminal to prove they are not in cahoots with the Kremlin. Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a former oil tycoon who fled Russia to London in 2013 after falling foul of Putin and being jailed for nearly a decade, said high-profile Russians who left amid the invasion of Ukraine cannot stay silent about the atrocities being committed by Russian forces. 'Public figures cannot leave quietly and then sit quietly. If you have left, then you should publicly dissociate yourself,' Khodorkovsky told The Washington Post in an interview last week. 'You should step up to the microphone and say that Putin is a war criminal and that what he is doing is a crime, that the war against Ukraine is a crime.  'Say this, and then we'll understand that Putin doesn't have a hold over you,' Khodorkovsky continued. The exiled oligarch's comments referred to a number of Russian elites, who since the invasion began have left their homeland but have...
President Biden's budget calls for an undoing of the Trump corporate tax cut and a brand new 'billionaire's tax,' as well as increases on some making $225,000 or more.  A top Trump economic adviser is predicting that the new 'billionaire' provision would eventually leads to higher taxes for ordinary Americans, while other taxpayer advocates say that the corporate tax increase would be passed onto workers and consumers.  Biden in his nearly $6 trillion fiscal year 2023 budget calls for $2.5 trillion in revenue to be generated through new taxes and closing loopholes. He called for an increase in the top marginal tax rate from 37 percent to 39.6 percent. The higher rate would be applied to married couples filing jointly who make over $450,000, single people who make over $400,000 and married people who file separately and make over $225,000.  The plan also calls for closing tax loopholes, including the carried interest loophole, ending fossil fuel subsidies, changing rules for estate and gift taxation, measures to improve tax compliance and modernizing rules related to digital currencies.  Congress is not required to take...

For the first time since the field in the Los Angeles mayor’s race was set, all of the major candidates faced off Tuesday night in a debate at USC’s Bovard Auditorium. The forum was the first featuring Rick Caruso, the developer and philanthropist who is a first-time candidate for public office. Here are six takeaways from the debate: Who’s going to show their taxes? About halfway through the 90-minute debate, City Atty. Mike Feuer produced perhaps the evening’s most provocative moment, when he challenged Caruso to release his taxes. Debate moderator Elex Michaelson of Fox 11 turned the moment into a challenge to all of the candidates, one that is likely to remain in the news in the coming days. It happened as Feuer was responding to a question about Mayor Eric Garcetti’s record. The city attorney quickly pivoted to say the public deserved to know more about the billionaire developer’s finances — including on his 215-foot yacht, Invictus. “I think you have a $100-million yacht that is registered under the flag of the Cayman Islands,” Feuer said. “I think...
