(CNN)In an effort to stretch the limited supply of the Jynneos monkeypox vaccine, federal health officials this week authorized giving smaller doses using a different method of injection. With more than 10,000 monkeypox cases in the United States and vaccine demand remaining high, Jynneos has been in short supply for weeks. The new injection strategy allows health-care providers to give shallow injections intradermally, in between layers of the skin, with one-fifth the standard dose size instead of subcutaneously, into the fatty layer below the skin, with the larger dose. FDA authorizes change in how monkeypox vaccine is given, stretching supply amid high demandYet the specific efficacy data for the vaccine is not clear, and some experts argue that not enough is known about how the low-dose intradermal strategy might affect the protection it provides in the real world.Even at the original dosage size, "there is no traditional assessment of this vaccine," Dr. Robert Califf, commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration, said Tuesday. It's approved for emergency purposes based on studies of immune responses, not clinical outcomes, because there haven't...

It’s not just that he’s dumping unspecified tens or hundreds of millions to “promote union organizing and collective bargaining.” Crucially, the plan would roll back states’ right-to-work laws, which allow workers to refuse to join unions. And the main impact will be a huge bonanza for public-sector unions — which have been growing nationally even as “real” unions shrink. Coupled with Democrats’ longstanding agenda to use the National Labor Relations Board to ease unionization drives, right-to-work repeal would soon see teachers, police and other public employees across America every bit as unionized as they are...

New York Giants: New EDGE Kyler Fackrell Will Be A Huge Boost To The Team’s Pass Rush By: Anthony Rivardo June 21, 2020 ShareTweet0 Shares The New York Giants‘ defense has struggled to rush quarterbacks in recent years. The team has not had a premier edge rusher in quite some time and has missed out on the top prospects in recent drafts, such as Josh Allen and Chase Young. A primary pass-rusher is arguably the Giants’ biggest need. However, not having that top-tier rusher might not be necessary for the 2020 New York Giants. Patrick Graham, the new defensive coordinator, is known for running an aggressive, blitz-heavy scheme that generates a fair amount of pressure. On top of that, the Giants have a solid stable of edge rushers at their disposal, the best of which being Kyler Fackrell who will provide the Giants with a huge boost to their pass rush. Kyler Fackrell and Patrick Graham The New York Giants signed edge rusher Kyler Fackrell to a one-year contract worth $4.6 million this offseason. Fackrell is 28 years old...
