A day before the full pomp of a state banquet, the Bidens ducked out of the White House for an informal dinner with the French president and his wife at a Washington restaurant.  They picked Fiola Mare, an Italian spot on the Georgetown waterfront, for the rendezvous. On Thursday night, President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte will be afforded the first state dinner of the Bidens' time at the White House - complete with 200 lobsters and Napa Valley wine. Macron is getting the full works, starting Wednesday with a visit to Arlington National Cemetery, then discussing space cooperation with Vice President at NASA headquarters in Washington. On Thursday he heads to the White House for Oval Office talks and a joint press conference.  Compared with Macron's awkward relationship with President Donald Trump, the events offer a carefully choreographed display of transatlantic togetherness. Joanna Tweedy Host commentator 10:16 A regal affair! The King hosts his first state banquet, welcoming the South African PM - and the Princess of Wales wows in Jenny Packham gown Buckingham Palace's regal banqueting room saw its first state dinner since before the passing of the Queen, as King Charles III welcomed South African president Cyril Ramaphosa to London for his two-day state visit. The Princess of Wales, 40, stole the show last night in a white dress from her favoured designer Jenny Packham for the occasion, which was reminiscent of one worn by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, during an official visit to Hong Kong in 1989.   The Princess also wore the Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara, which was a wedding gift to Princess Diana, paired with diamond and pearl drop earrings that also once belonged to her late mother-in-law, and wore a blue sash as well as the Royal Family Order, made up of a portrait of the Queen on a yellow ribbon. The Princess of Wales and other female members of the Royal Family paid a touching tribute to the late Queen at last night's state banquet. While Kate stunned onlookers with her white dress and sparkling tiara, many found their eyes drawn to a yellow brooch pinned on her chest. The curious item of jewellery showed a portrait of a young Queen Elizabeth II wearing an evening dress with a ribbon and star of the Order of the Garter.  The object was pinned below the Princess's left shoulder with a yellow ribbon, with Camilla, Queen Consort, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, following suit. The brooches are a sign that the wearer has been made a part of the Royal Family Order, an honour gifted to female members of the Firm by the monarch. A total of 15 women were granted the honour by the late Queen, which is thought to have been first introduced by George IV in the 1800s as women in the royal court typically did not have the commemorative medals that men do. The Princess of Wales wears the...
The Princess of Wales and Queen Consort Camilla are no doubt gearing up for their first official opportunity in nearly three years to wear a tiara. King Charles III, 74, will be hosting his first state visit as monarch next week, with the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, and his wife, Dr. Tshepo Motsepe, visiting the UK. A state banquet at Buckingham Palace will be held in their honour on Tuesday evening - and a woman’s ensemble at such an event requires a dazzling headpiece. Kate, 40, is known to favour the pearl-dropped Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara for such occasions - which was also a favourite of her late mother-in-law’s, Princess Diana. Meanwhile, Camilla, 75, has opted for the Greville Tiara at least eight times since she married King Charles. However, it could be that one of the royals opt to pay tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, and wear one of the 50 tiaras she is thought to have had access to. Here, FEMAIL takes a look at the tiaras the royal women might sport during the...

At a certain point, I’ve come to accept that Huckberry is simply one of my all-tme favorte brands it is high time for me to start holding new apparel lines up to a higher standard or I’ll go broke spending money on them all. And just as I do that, Huckberry releases its newest items which were created from a collaboration with Coors. The Huckberry X Coors collaboration is probably the best beer apparel I have ever seen. Between the classic t-shirts with the nostalgic script across the front to the cowboy-esque button down, the new collab gives you all the looks you’d ever want to have for a beer-branded outfit. Additionally, the collab has led to some of the best-looking baseball caps I’ve seen in a long time. These caps are a perfect accent on tons of different outfits and come in a number of unique styles and constructions that work for different tastes as well. My personal favorite is the Banquet...

The creator of coronation chicken said she worked on the recipe every day for a month before creating the dish for the Queen's Coronation Day banquet in 1953. Angela Wood, 88, was a cookery student at Cordon Bleu when she helped create the recipe which became a staple of the Queen's coronation festivities. She told BBC News: 'For a month or more, I was cooking a chicken a day and we had to alter the balance of the spices in the sauce to get it right. The sauce that Ms Wood created at the age of 19 included freshly-ground spices, finely chopped onion, red wine, apricot puree, mayonnaise and cream.  Angela Wood pictured today (left) as she looked at 19 when she helped create the dish (right) Coronation chicken was created to be served at the Queen's Coronation Day banquet in 1953 Ms Wood, from Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire, has also suggested that she could help create the competition-winning dessert which will be served at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in June. Archaeologists in Jerusalem have discovered a once opulent banquet hall that may have welcomed VIPs on their way to visit the nearby Temple Mount 2,000 years ago.  It had two chambers separated by a hallway decorated with a 'magnificent' fountain and Corinthian capitals, as well as guest rooms where members of the elite could dine on wooden reclining sofas, experts believe. They said it may also have acted as a city hall before later being divided into three chambers to add a pool or ritual bath as future rulers put their own stamp on the grandiose structure.  Scroll down for video Grand: Archaeologists in Jerusalem have discovered a once opulent banquet hall (pictured) that may have welcomed VIPs on their way to visit the nearby Temple Mount 2,000 years ago It had two chambers separated by a hallway decorated with a fountain and Corinthian capitals, as well as guest rooms where VIPs could dine on wooden reclining sofas, experts believeWhy is Temple Mount one of the world's most contested religious sites?Temple Mount is known as one of the...

This is the hilarious moment a hapless bowler's ball came back to her like a boomerang after she hurled it into the wrong lane.  The woman, who had only been bowling a few times, was caught on camera as she approached the lanes at The Banquet bar in Fort McMurray, Alberta. She brings her arm back as she gets ready to roll the ball towards the pins at the end of her lane but doesn't release it at the right time.  The woman, who has only been bowling a few times, was caught on camera as she approached the lanes at The Banquet bar in Fort McMurray, Alberta, last March The ball hurtles toward the next lane over but bounces in the middle section between the two lanes.  It smacks into a barrier and is sent right back in the direction of the woman, who has fallen to the floor as she laughs with embarrassment.  RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next Leading Old English sheepdog breeder is ordered to pay... Just three months ago, this was the only way Mary Zoller could safely hugs her 93-year-old father. Things are getting better. Before the first COVID-19 vaccines were available, there was considerable talk about potential programs to encourage more vaccine use. Part of this discussion was driven by how a White House that was simultaneously pushing ineffective treatments, showing disdain for science, and insisting vaccines were being developed at “warp speed” was generating a high level of distrust in the public. Throw in a few wild rumors about Bill Gates and mind-controlling nano chips, and barely a third of the population was raising their nondominant arm to say they’d take a jab in the weeks before Pfizer became the first COVID-19 vaccine across the finish line. That led to proposals that the vaccinated be rewarded in some way. Maybe they could be allowed to unmask in some stores. Maybe there could be a discount policy. Maybe there could even be a tie between the next recovery check and getting the vaccine. However, as time went on, demand for the vaccine (and then, vaccines)...
