President Joe Biden will meet with family members of two Americans jailed in Russia - basketball star Brittney Griner and former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan - at the White House on Friday. 'One of the things that the president wanted to make clear is ... that he wanted to let them know that they remain front of mind and that his team is working on this every day, on making sure that Brittany and Paul return home safely,' said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Thursday. Griner, who plays for a Russian club, has been detained since being stopped at a Moscow airport on February 17 when cannabis-infused vape cartridges were found in her luggage.  She has been sentenced to nine years in prison.  Whelan, a former Marine, is serving a 16-year sentence on spying charges that he and his family say are false.  'While I would love to say that the purpose of this meeting is to inform the families that the Russians have accepted our offer and we are bringing their loved ones home, that is not what...
US Soccer star Megan Rapinoe last month urged President Joe Biden in a phone call to do more to secure the release of Brittney Griner from her detention in Russia. According to Politico, Rapinoe made the request when Biden called her to inform her she would be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom - the highest honor bestowed upon a civilian in America. When Rapinoe attended the ceremony at the White House on July 7, she wore a blazer with Griner's initials inscribed on the lapel. Griner, 31, was sentenced to nine years in prison in Russia earlier in August after being convicted of drug possession and smuggling. Griner brought vape cartridges with cannabis oil into Russia when she flew to Moscow to play basketball in the city of Yekaterinburg during the WNBA offseason. Biden denounced the ruling as 'unacceptable', with the verdict coming amid soaring tensions between the US and Russia over Ukraine. There have been numerous reports that Griner could now be involved in a high-profile prisoner swap between the two countries. Megan Rapinoe reportedly told President Biden to...
Drew Angerer/Getty Images Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) vowed to hold President Joe Biden “accountable” for having “weaponized” the Department of Justice against Republicans. The House GOP Conference chair issued a statement Tuesday evening that vowed retribution after former President Donald Trump’s home was raided by the FBI the previous day. Additionally, Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) had his phone seized by the bureau Tuesday. In a statement posted on Twitter, Stefanik cited both incidents, and vowed Biden would pay, as would Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray. Stefanik tweeted a statement saying: Joe Biden’s FBI and Department of Justice have been fully weaponized against their political opponents. It is an absolute outrageous abuse of power and unAmerican for these agencies to raid the home of President Trump and seize the cell phone of a sitting Member of Congress. Attorney General Garland, Director Wray, House Democrats, and most of all Joe Biden will absolutely be held accountable. Since Trump’s home was raided, the three highest ranking Republicans in the House have vowed retribution, should their party take a majority...
As President Joe Biden prepared to meet with the leader of the United Arab Emirates on Saturday, a prominent human rights group urged the U.S. administration to secure the release of an American civil rights attorney arrested in Dubai in a "politically motivated" case. Asim Ghafoor—a U.S. citizen who previously represented murdered Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi and his fiancée Hatice Cengiz—was taken into custody Thursday at Dubai International Airport while en route to Turkey to attend a family wedding, the group Democracy in the Arab World Now (DAWN)—of which Ghafoor is a board member—said Friday. "We are outraged at the unjustified detention of our board member and extremely concerned for his health and physical security given the well-documented record of abuse in the UAE, including torture and inhuman treatment," said Sarah Leah Whitson, Executive Director of DAWN, in a statement. DAWN cited U.S. consular officials who said Ghafoor was taken to the Abu Dhabi Criminal Investigative Division detention facility on charges related to an in absentia conviction for alleged money laundering. "Detaining Ghafoor on the basis of an in absentia...
by Roger Kimball   According to The Washington Post, Donald Trump told 30,573 lies over the course of his four years in office. CNN nutshelled it with “The 15 most notable lies of Donald Trump’s presidency.” Of course, people have been calling politicians liars ever since Plato after the sophists for “making the stronger argument appear weaker and the weaker argument appear stronger.” To a large extent, it’s a purely partisan issue. Every Republican since before Ronald Reagan has been disparaged as “literally Hitler”; even the pathetic Grecian Formula BLM-marcher Mitt Romney was Hitler for bullying a kid in high school. You can’t do a credible impersonation of the old Austrian housepainter without also being—or being accused of being—a liar, so all Republicans are also, ex officio, as it were, conspicuous liars. You might have thought that Ronald Reagan was one of the greatest, and also most genial, presidents since Lincoln. But his apotheosis only came after he left office. Candidate and President Reagan were universally excoriated by the left. He was stupid, a war-monger, and of course, he lied his head off. “The...
President Joe Biden suffered another brain cramp during a ceremony to commission the Navy's newest nuclear submarine, saying the first lady previously held the office of Vice President during the Obama administration.  Biden, 79, was praising his wife Jill Biden, 70, for her work and commitment to military families after she was named the USS Delaware's sponsor during its commissioning in Wilmington, Delaware, on Saturday.  'I'm deeply proud of the work she is doing as First Lady with Joining Forces initiative she started with Michelle Obama when she was Vice President and now carries on,' the president mistakenly said.  It was the latest blunder for the president, leading the White House to send out an updated transcript which said changed the reference from she to I. 'And I'm deeply proud of the work she is doing as First Lady with Joining Forces initiative she started with Michelle Obama when she [I] was Vice President and now carries on,' the White House official transcript reads.  President Joe Biden said the first lady previously held office as Vice President during the Obama administration in his latest blunder...
JOE Biden has ordered US troops, jets and helicopters to Eastern Europe in response to Vladimir Putin's invasion of rebel-held Ukraine. The US president said he would continue to provide "defensive assistance" to Ukraine as he announced the authorisation of additional forces in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. 10Joe Biden has authorised additional troops to be sent to Estonia, Latvia and LithuaniaCredit: AP Announcing financial constraints against Russia on Tuesday, the president said he would "escalate sanctions if Russia escalates". And he warned the measures were only the "first tranche" in his bid to stop Putin waging all-out war. Speaking from the White House, Mr Biden said: "In response to Russia's admission that it will not withdraw its forces from Belarus, I have authorised additional movements of US forces and equipment already stationed in Europe to strengthen our Baltic allies - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. "Let me be clear, these are totally defensive moves on our part. We have no intention of fighting Russia. "We want to send an unmistakable message though, that the United States together with our...
Previously, Manchin indicated that he is open to supporting whomever President Joe Biden nominates to replace Stephen Breyer on the Supreme Court so long as that person has the requisite experience for the job. In late January, Manchin told a local West Virginian radio show, “Whoever [Biden] puts up will have experience, and we’ll be able to judge them off of that, but as far as just the philosophical beliefs, no, that will not prohibit me from supporting somebody.” The senator’s indifference to a nominee’s worldview is not unique to this instance. In 2018, Manchin voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court despite public outcry and ruthless media scrutiny over his nomination. Even with his own low approval numbers, President Joe Biden is leading both former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a pair of direct match-ups long ahead of the 2024 election. Biden leads Trump by 10 percentage points – 43 to 33 – in a new Marquette Law School poll released Thursday.  That poll has 16 percent backing 'someone else.'  It comes even as Trump has been hammering Biden throughout his presidency, and stepping up his own activity with a rally last week in Arizona and another planned for Texas this coming Saturday. Biden's lead over DeSantis, who has been in the news as he challenges the administration on vaccine mandates and school policy, is slightly narrower. Biden leads DeSantis 41 percent to 33 percent. In that matchup, 18 percent back 'someone else.'  President Joe Biden leads former President Donald Trump 43 to 33 in a Marquette Law School poll His lead, even in a poll taking even before he makes it through the mid-term elections, underscores that despite his own severe struggles to maintain a...
Former President Donald Trump would beat President Joe Biden by six points if the 2024 presidential election were held today.  A new poll from Redfield & Wilton Strategies found that 44 per cent of Americans would vote for Trump and 38 per cent would vote for Biden, with a sizable 12 per cent saying they didn't know who they would vote for.  Trump gained two points from a previous Redfield & Wilton poll conducted earlier this month, while Biden's support remained the same.  Former President Donald Trump (left) would beat President Joe Biden (right) by six points if the 2024 presidential election were held today Since late November, former President Donald Trump has surpassed President Joe Biden in support in a hypothetical 2024 presidential race  Trump surpassed Biden in late November in polling for a 2024 hypothetical presidential race.   Large percentages of both candidates' supporters said they would stick with their guys.  Eighty-seven per cent of Trump supporters said they would cast a ballot for the Republican ex-president again, while 75 per cent of Biden supporters said they'd vote for the Democrat.  ...
President Joe Biden endorsed Wednesday the ongoing political persecution of Mark Meadows, the former chief of staff for President Donald Trump. The president said he felt Meadows was “worthy” of being held in contempt of Congress after he refused to comply with a subpoena from the select committee to investigate the January 6 protests. “I don’t know enough, just what I’ve seen. I have not spoken to anyone,” Biden said to reporters as he left the White House. “It seems to me he’s worthy of being held in contempt.” When Biden was asked if he had seen texts released by the select committee, he replied, “I haven’t seen them all.” Despite turning over some information to the committee, Meadows stopped cooperating, citing Trump’s executive privilege. The House voted Tuesday 222–208 to find Meadows in contempt, as two Republicans, Reps. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Liz Cheney (R-WY), voted with Democrats. Meadows remains defiant, even suing Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and every member of the select committee, claiming a constitutional right to executive privilege. “They’re not going to intimidate me,” he...
Joe Biden confirmed Wednesday that he feels Congress was right to vote to hold former Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows in contempt for going back on his initial cooperation with the committee probing the January 6 riot. 'I don't know enough – just what I've seen, I have not spoken to anyone,' President Biden told reporters when departing for Kentucky to survey severe weather damage on Wednesday morning. He added: 'It seems to me he's worthy of being held in contempt.' Biden also brushed it off when he was pushed on what he thinks about the text messages that were released from Meadows' phone.  'I haven't seen them all,' he dismissed. The House voted late Tuesday to hold Donald Trump's White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows in criminal contempt after he refused to testify on the Capitol attack. Podcast host Joe Rogan criticized the legacy media’s fabrication of the Russian collusion narrative during a Friday episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” with retired United States Navy Officer, Jocko Willink. “No one is being held accountable. The collusion between the media and the government is pretty apparent. Especially the left-wing media and the left-wing government. It’s pretty f****** apparent that there’s some narratives that get shared back and forth,” Rogan said. Willink went on to claim that the Russian collusion story was “created by the democratic party,” or insiders within the Democratic Party. President Joe Biden has not held a formal press conference in 100 days as of Saturday, the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) research team discovered. According to the RNC, Biden’s last press conference was held on July 15. When the president has attended public White House events to make a speech without taking questions from the press, Biden has been 20 minutes late to the podium, Fox News reported. On Wednesday, for example, Biden was nearly 38 minutes late to speak about the children who will not receive Christmas presents on time due to a supply chain shortage. Instead of answering questions from the media without the White House filtering who can ask the president a question, Biden and his White House communications team agreed to participated in a CNN town hall with Anderson Cooper. During the town hall, Biden had several awkward moments, which was pointed out by Breitbart News. “What am I doing here?” Biden asked Cooper to help him remember the name of the port city. Omg! WATCH! Anderson Cooper has to help Joe Biden remember the city...
President Joe Biden's support among independents has collapsed, new polling shows, which could be a bad sign for Democrats going into the 2022 midterms.  A new Grinnell College National Poll found that while Biden received the support of 54 per cent of independents during last year's presidential election, that support now stands at 28 per cent.  That means that if the 2024 presidential election were held today - and it was a rematch between Biden and former President Donald Trump - both candidates would receive 40 per cent of the vote, while 14 per cent of the American electorate would choose someone else.  President Joe Biden has lost support among independents, while former President Donald Trump has gained that support, meaning the Democrat and Republican would get the same percentage of voters if the 2024 election was held today Trump (left) gets less support among Republicans than Biden (right) does among Democrats, but Biden's popularity with independents has collapsed since last year's presidential race, new polling shows   Biden polls better among Democrats than Trump does Republicans.  Biden receives the support...
President Joe Biden has not held a press conference in 96 days or an interview since August 18, Republican National Committee’s research team tweeted Monday. When Joe Biden has appeared at White House events, not to hold a press conference but just to speak without taking questions, he has been an average of 20 minutes late, Fox News reported last week. For example, Biden on Wednesday was reportedly 38 minutes late to address why many American children will not receive the toys they wanted for Christmas due to a supply chain crisis exacerbated by the Biden-Harris administration. On Monday the White House announced Biden will participate in a town hall event with CNN’s anchor Anderson Cooper on Thursday at 8 p.m., which is to last 90 minutes. In Biden’s last town hall event in July, Biden argued that inflationary prices were back to where they were before the pandemic. “The cost of an automobile, it’s kind of back to what it was before the pandemic,” Biden...
President Joe Biden has not held a press conference since July 15, the Republican National Committee’s research team stated Thursday. As of Friday, it has reportedly been 92 days since Biden held his last press conference. The delay in holding a press conference comes as polling the last two months reveals American workers and families believe the president does not possess enough “mental soundness” to be president. A Quinnipiac University poll on January 6 revealed 42 percent of nationwide adults believe “Biden and his administration are not competent.” Among independent respondents, 62 percent said Biden and his administration are not competent, while only 35 percent believe he is competent. “Battered on trust, doubted on leadership, and challenged on overall competency, President Biden is being hammered on all sides as his approval rating continues its downward slide to a number not seen,” Quinnipiac University polling analyst Tim Malloy said. No kidding! https://t.co/Si0giiZfoA — Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) October 7, 2021 Another poll in September by Fox News suggested just 49 percent of registered voters think Biden has enough “mental soundness” to serve as commander-in-chief. “Do...

Former President Donald Trump would beat President Joe Biden if a presidential election were held today, a poll has found, as Biden's approval rating continues to drop in the wake of the nation's withdrawal from Afghanistan.  Released by Emerson College Polling, voters were asked which candidate they favor if Biden and Trump hypothetically became the eventual nominees in 2024.  According to the poll - conducted between August 30 and September 1 - Trump is slightly favored with 47%, while Biden is favored at 46%.     Released by Emerson College Polling , voters were asked which candidate they favored if Biden and Trump hypothetically became the eventual nominees in 2024 Among Democrats, 60% of voters said they would like to see Biden as the 2024 presidential nominee, while 39% said they would rather it be someone else.  As for Republicans, 67% of voters said they would vote for Trump in a hypothetical Republican primary with 7 additional candidates, including Governor Ron DeSantis and former Vice President Mike Pence.  When Trump was excluded from the race, Republican voters favored DeSantis at 32%, with Pence coming in...
President Biden has failed America – and the American people cannot and will not forget that, as untold hundreds of American citizens remain stranded in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, Sean Hannity declared Friday in his "Opening Monologue." While the U.S. has not had an official presence in Afghanistan for three days, Hannity claimed Friday was the 20th day of Americans being "held hostage … behind enemy lines." "Joe Biden has failed this country, and we will never forget it," he said. Taliban leader Abdul Baradar is now seen as the de facto leader of that country, after Biden pulled all U.S. troops out as of Aug. 31. "Biden did nothing as the Taliban terrorists began what was a full-scale assault on our allies, and they began a march that led them to taking control of Kabul: April, then May, June, July, then August," Hannity said. TALIBAN CALLS CHINA ITS ‘TRUSTWORTHY FRIEND’ "And instead of fighting back at any point … as Donald Trump said he would, Biden ordered a full-scale retreat, abandoning base after base in the middle of the night, leaving weapons...
This is a rush transcript of "Hannity" on September 1, 2021. This copy may not be in its final form and may be updated. SEAN HANNITY, FOX NEWS HOST:  Thank you. I'll take it. I appreciate it.  Thank you, Tucker.  And welcome to HANNITY. And tonight, coming up, a phone call transcript Joe Biden does not want you to see. He's been lying about Afghanistan from the very beginning. And it appears his top priority, a victory lap on the 20th anniversary of 9/11.  That's how sick this is. We have a full report straight ahead. Also, leaked texts. Members in the military shocked. It shows that sheer desperation on the ground in Kabul. They could not believe what was happening leaving Americans behind. John Solomon was here with the very latest and those texts.  But first, hundreds of Americans abandoned -- yes, abandoned -- in Afghanistan, thousands of our vulnerable Afghan allies -- probably well over 10,000 -- 13 dead American heroes, our national treasure gone forever, murdered by terrorists.  As the cover of "The New York Post" put...
Kamala Harris still hasn't held a press conference on the migrant crisis 24 days after she was named Joe Biden's border czar, as the vice president has finally started making plans to visit Mexico and Guatemala.   The vice president was tapped by the president on March 24 to 'lead efforts' to tackle the ongoing crisis as the federal government struggled to cope with the influx of migrants crossing the US's southern border with Mexico.  At the time, the White House said Harris's focus would be on 'two tracks' - stemming the flow of irregular migrants to the US and establishing a strategic partnership with Mexico and the Northern Triangle.  But Harris has faced criticism since taking on the task as she has neither paid a visit to the border nor held a news conference, with Friday marking the 24th full day on from her appointment to the task.        Kamala Harris (speaking about the American Recovery Plan at the White House Wednesday) still hasn't held a press conference on the migrant crisis 24 days after she was named Joe Biden's...
Joe Biden will hold his first presidential press conference next Thursday, the White House announced on Tuesday amid criticism about the amount of time it has taken the president to hold a formal question and answer session with the press. 'President Biden will hold a formal press conference on the afternoon of Thursday, March 25th,' White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement.  Press conferences are ways for public officials to be held accountable for actions they are taking and policies they are implementing.  That date is Biden's 64th day in office, a record for a modern president in waiting to hold a press conference. The previous record was set by President George W. Bush, who waited 33 days before hosting one. Most presidents - including Donald Trump and Barack Obama - hold a press conference in the first month of their administration. Trump held one on day 27 while Obama held one on day 20.  Joe Biden will hold his first presidential press conference next Thursday Presidents usually take questions from journalists in a press conference format...
President Joe Biden has been president for 50 full days and still has yet to hold an in-person press conference with reporters, the longest wait for a president in 100 years. The drought of press appearances continues despite assurances from White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki that the president will hold one at some point, but “not yet.” She told reporters Friday that Biden will hold a conference “in the coming weeks,” and before the end of March, but no official date has been set. Joe Biden is showing himself to be an "absentee president" by not holding a solo press conference or scheduling an address to Congress despite having been in office for more than six weeks, Joe Concha told "America Reports" Thursday. "I look at what President Biden said on January 14th where he said, as president-elect, he would address Congress 'next month', as in February," said Concha, a Fox News contributor and The Hill media columnist. "And when White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked about that, [she] said no promise was made that would happen, even though the president’s own words said they would." Biden's immediate predecessor, Donald Trump, held his first news conference on Feb. 16, 2017, while Barack Obama held his first news conference on Feb. 9, 2009. In Biden's first six weeks, Concha noted, he has enacted sweeping executive actions like the cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline project.  Video"[With] all of these actions that the president is taking without having to be held accountable for them, I would think that a guy ... who got 81 million votes -- the most in U.S. history, Joe Biden, with the wind at his back, would...

During the inauguration speech, Joe Biden has called for the unity of the citizens of the United States. The inauguration ceremony has beenor loaded with symbolism, because this democratic change in power has taken place in the same building that two weeks ago was assaulted by supporters of Donald Trump. Lady Gaga has been the singer who has given voice to the American national anthem. The strict security measures and also the sanitary restrictions have made it a different investiture, which has counted with only 1,000 guests. New York (CNN Business)President Joe Biden wants to restore America's faith in its democracy. He's starting by repairing the government's broken relationship with the press, the reporters of truth responsible for holding politicians accountable.Former President Donald Trump and his administration were at war with facts. In his routine effort to spread falsehoods big and small, Trump labeled the press as "the enemy of the people," regularly riling up his supporters to attack the media, and avoiding facing the press at daily briefings — in one stretch, for nearly a year.In stark contrast, Biden made a concerted effort in his first moments in office to reset the White House's relationship with reporters. Biden referenced truth several times in his inaugural address Wednesday, and Press Secretary Jen Psaki held her first briefing just seven hours into the new presidency. The inaugural address"We must reject the culture where facts themselves are manipulated — and even manufactured," Biden said in his inaugural speech. Congressional leaders from both parties will join Joe Biden for mass on Wednesday morning in a show of bipartisan unity before he takes the oath of office. Republicans Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy, along with Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, will attend the Catholic service with Biden at St. Matthew’s church in downtown Washington D.C., about 10 blocks from the White House, Punchbowl News reported. It's part of Biden's plan to demonstrate his contrast to outgoing President Donald Trump from the start of his presidency. The mass will come shortly after Trump departs the White House for the last time. The outgoing president has eschewed the traditional trappings that come with a peaceful transfer of power. He did not host Biden at the White House for coffee after the election and will not greet him at front door ahead of the inauguration ceremony. Instead Trump will be at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida when Biden becomes the 46th president. President-elect Joe Biden said Monday he was not afraid about taking the oath of office outside Capitol Hill after some supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the building last week. “No I’m not … I’m not afraid of taking the oath outside,” Biden replied when asked by a reporter about the upcoming inauguration ceremony on January 20. Biden spoke to reporters after receiving his second coronavirus vaccine shot at a Delaware medical center on Monday. The president-elect said that the individuals who stormed Capitol Hill and damaged public property should face prosecution for their actions. “It think that it is critically important that there be a real serious focus on holding those folks who engaged in sedition, and threatened people’s lives, defaced public property, caused grave damage, that they be held accountable,” Biden said. U.S. Capitol Police said they had arrested 14 suspected of involvement in the rioting, most charged with unlawful entry, while the Metropolitan Police Department made at least 68 arrests. The Justice Department said they had filed 55 criminal cases from the “Stop the Steal” rally and...
Last month’s heroic rescue of a US hostage, Philip Walton, in Nigeria serves as a sharp reminder: Other Americans remain in captivity abroad unjustly, too, and the nation shouldn’t rest until every one of them is home. Walton’s rescue was absolutely spectacular: The elite SEAL team parachuted down a few miles from the target and killed a number of Walton’s captors, without suffering any US casualties. President Trump rightly praised “our country’s brave warriors” for the “daring nighttime rescue.” “The kidnappers wished they had never done it. We got our American citizen . . .  but the other side suffered gravely,” he said. Yet Walton’s rescue shines a bright light on other Americans being held hostage around the world, several in Syria alone: •  Austin Tice, a former Marine officer, freelance journalist and Georgetown University Law Center student who disappeared in 2012 after spending a summer reporting there. • Majd Kamalmaz, a Syrian-American therapist, who vanished after being stopped at a Syrian checkpoint in 2017. At least four others are also thought to be held by the Syrian regime. Good news: For...
Incoming White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain said Thursday night that President-elect Joe Biden will appoint a COVID czar as soon as he enters the Oval Office.  'As a candidate for president, Joe Biden promised that he would put an official in charge of the COVID response in the White House. He will do that,' Klain said on MSNBC's 'The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell.'  Klain also revealed that Biden has spoken to Republicans, in both Congress and the governors' mansions, despite President Donald Trump's refusal to concede and many in his party remaining tight-lipped about the election result. A temporary chain link fence constructed outside the White House before Election Day has been transformed into a colorful display of anti-Trump posters. The signs plastered to the fence, which was built in anticipation of post-election unrest, mainly now convey to President Trump that his days at the White House seem numbered, with Joe Biden on the brink of winning the election. “Eviction Notice” is written on a large pink poster board attached to the fence. “Remove Trump” and “Loser” are the messages of others. Other similar signs were simply held up by people gathered outside the fence. A woman draped in an American flag held a sign that read: “You’re fired!” Trump, of early Saturday, is trailing Biden by 50 electoral votes. Biden needs to win just one more state to surpass the 270 needed to win the presidency — and he’s leading in four of the remaining five battleground states that are yet to be called. Wednesday during his nationally syndicated radio show, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh speculated on the reasons why the FBI held on to Hunter Biden’s laptop without taking action. According to Limbaugh, it had similarities to the Steele Dossier and what he theorized to be a “deep state” effort to have leverage over President Donald Trump. Partial transcript as follows (courtesy RushLimbaugh.com): [T]his Biden story is a microcosm of how it works for everybody that acquires any kind of power in the Washington establishment, the deep state, you name it. This is exactly how it happens. This is how people end up getting very wealthy without having any employment that would generate this kind of wealth. They simply sell their influence, and the Chinese and the Ukrainians and the Russians are more than happy to corrupt these people. They’re more than happy to have these people on the blackmail payroll. They’re more than happy to do that. FBI, the same thing. I’ve mentioned this two or three times, and a lot of people can’t get their arms around this. But the FBI...
Between the pandemic, ongoing nation-wide civil unrest, a crucial Supreme Court appointment and a push to shift to mail-in voting, the current election cycle is both relatively high-stakes and unprecedented.
The Joe Biden presidential campaign lashed out in a fiery statement after the Trump campaign reportedly invited a former business associate of Hunter Biden as a guest to the presidential debate on Thursday. "As Chris Wallace said on the air about this very smear, 'Vice President Biden has actually released this tax returns - unlike President Trump - and there is no indication he ever got any money from anybody in these business deals.'" read the statement from the Biden campaign. Tony Bobulinski is a former Navy lieutenant and businessman who has contradicted the claims from Joe Biden that he never spoke to his son about business matters. Prior to the second debate between Biden and Trump, Bobulinski held a media briefing to announce that he was handing over electronic devices with evidence of his claims to the federal authorities. "Joe Biden has never even considered being involved in business with his family, nor in any overseas business whatsoever. He has never held stock in any such business arrangements nor has any...
Joe Biden’s presidential campaign issued its first plain denial of the allegation that emails discovered on his son Hunter Biden’s laptop show that he stood to benefit directly from an overseas deal Hunter was arranging. "Joe Biden has never even considered being involved in business with his family, nor in any overseas business whatsoever," Biden campaign spokespman Andrew Bates told the Washington Examiner. "He has never held stock in any such business arrangements nor has any family member or any other person ever held stock for him." Last week, the New York Post reported on a trove of emails that it said came from a hard drive from a laptop that allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden, that was left at a computer repair shop and then was eventually given to the FBI and President Trump's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani. One email included in the trove, sent to the younger Biden on May 13, 2017, after his father had left office, contained details of “remuneration packages” for a deal with a Chinese energy company, including "10 held by...
Joe Biden’s town hall drew more viewers than President Trump’s competing event on Thursday night, according to early figures. A total of 12.7 million viewers tuned in to ABC to watch Biden field questions from voters from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., compared to 10.4 million who watched Trump do the same on NBC, initial Nielsen ratings show, according to the Wrap. The Democratic presidential candidate also came out on top with adults ages 18-49, with a 2.6 rating. Trump scored a 1.7 rating. Trump’s town hall in Miami aired on NBC and was simulcast on NBCU cable channels MSNBC and CNBC. Viewers got a kick out of the so-called “nodding woman” seated in the background behind his left shoulder. She was later identified as Mayra Poli, a Dominican Republic-born fervent Trump supporter who once ran for Congress. Biden’s event, meanwhile, was aired only on ABC. The 90-minute town hall in Philadelphia was devoid of questions about The Post’s exposé about his son Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings. The final Nielsen numbers on viewership come out late Friday afternoon....
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — If California students had their say, Joe Biden would be elected the next President of the United States. Last week, a total of 181 schools across the state participated in a mock election where students got to vote on the presidential race and California ballot measures that will be on the real ballot come November. The results from the mock election were released on Tuesday by Secretary of State Alex Padilla’s office. By an overwhelming 67.64 percent to 17.98 percent margin, California students voted for Joe Biden over Donald Trump. California students also voted to approve every single Proposition on the ballot. The only one that came close to failing was Prop. 21 (rent control), which squeaked by with a 50.18 percent to 49.82 percent yes vote. Notably, but probably not surprisingly, Prop. 18 – which would allow 17-year-olds to vote in California’s primary elections if they turn 18 by the general election – also was also approved by students in a 69.84 percent to 30.16 percent margin. The Secretary of State’s office provided the schools with...

During a campaign rally Duluth, Minnesota on Wednesday evening, President Donald Trump declared victory over Democrat Joe Biden after their first debate, Fox News reported. “I really enjoyed last night’s debate with Sleepy Joe… the verdict is in and they say that we, all of us, won big last night,” Trump told a crowd of supporters. “Last night, I did what the corrupt media has refused to do,” he continued. “I held Joe Biden accountable for his 47 years of lies, 47 years of betrayal, and 47 years of failure.” Those who watched the debate seem to disagree with Trump’s assessment. According to a poll from CBS, 48 percent of viewers declared Biden the winner, while 41 percent believed Trump won. In a similar CNN poll, 60 percent said that Biden did a better job. The event was widely lambasted as chaotic, with pundits and commentators suggesting that Trump’s constant interruptions made it unwatchable. Moderator Chris Wallace was also criticized. Democrats argued that he failed to rein in Trump, while Republicans accused him of being biased toward Biden. In response,...

CLAIM: Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden (D) claimed during Thursday’s CNN town hall that President Trump held a Bible upside down outside of St. John’s Episcopal Church and retreated to his bunker. He also claimed that there was “no violence whatsoever” outside of the White House. VERDICT: False. Despite the widespread narrative, the president did not hold the Bible upside down in front of the church. Furthermore, Secret Service reportedly rushed Trump to an underground bunker in the White House during the violent protests that unfolded just days before — not on the day that he visited the church. That same weekend, rioters set the historic church ablaze. “A president stands out there when people are peacefully protesting in front of the White House. No, no violence whatsoever,” Biden said Thursday, failing to mention the violent clashes that occurred near and outside of the White House just days before President Trump took a stand outside of the church. Biden continued: He gets the military to go in for tear gas. Both people physically move out of the way so he can...
