The Green Bay Packers have lost five straight and reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers' quarterback rating is at a 17-year low, some of which can be blamed on his use of hallucinogenic drugs, according to ESPN's Robert Griffin III. The former Washington quarterback took a shot at Rodgers for admittedly trying ayahuasca, a plant-based psychoactive drink found in South America, while criticizing the Packers quarterback for his recent play and the team's 3-6 record. 'In order for [the Green Bay Packers] to dig themselves out of this hole, they need the best version of Aaron Rodgers,' Griffin told his ESPN co-hosts on Monday. 'And right now, that ayahuasca seems like it has him in a completely different world.' Aaron Rodgers has been pointed in his criticism of his Packers teammates this season but he’s nearing a point of no return by going too far.  The start to the 2022 season has been unlike anything Aaron Rodgers has ever seen before, quite literally. After a dismal loss to the Commanders in Week 7, the Green Bay Packers fell to 3-4 on the season, the worst start to a year since Rodgers took over as the starting quarterback. And Rodgers is less than pleased with the way the team has gotten out of the gate and the reigning back-to-back NFL MVP didn’t hold any punches back when he made his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday. Clearly agitated with the results and performance of Green Bay, Rodgers ranted about the mistakes that are being made that are costing the team, talking about that there are always going to be errors made but that there have been too many. But he ended with an absolute hammer of a line. “Guys who are making too many mistakes shouldn’t be playing,...

The proposal began gaining traction three days before kickoff. Inside the Green Bay Packers offensive meetings, a think-big pitch was floated. What about starting the 2022 season with a massive home run cut? Hear this out. First play in Minnesota in Week 1. Spread rookie speedster Christian Watson out to the right. Schoolyard go route. It was music to Aaron Rodgers’ ears. The four-time MVP quarterback has been impressed with Watson’s burst and figured it would be cool to give the newcomer from North Dakota State a chance to start his NFL career with some sizzle. “We had talked about it. ‘Do you really want to start off with a bomb shot?’ ” Rodgers said. “I said, ‘Yeah. What the hell? Why not? Ya know? This kid can really fly. Let’s give him a chance.’ ” By now, we all know what happened when that vision was put into action. Early in the first quarter Sunday in Minneapolis, Watson lined up outside the numbers against eight-time Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson and dazed him for a split-second with a nasty...
Waking up Sunday morning in Chicago to five inches of snow and Dick Butkus trolling Aaron Rodgers was a beautiful thing. “(F)unny the orange juice tastes a little bit sweeter this morning,” Butkus tweeted, referring to the Green Bay Packers’ 13-10 playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers. And in case that tweet was too cryptic, Butkus followed it up with “maybe it’s me but it almost seemed like @AaronRodgers12 was distracted last night like someone was in his head.” The Chicago Bears great, naturally, was referring to himself. Two days earlier Butkus, celebrated being verified on Twitter — a long-running saga in which Butkus poked fun at the social media company for not recognizing him as being blue checkmark-worthy. When Butkus finally was accepted, he sent out another punctuation-challenged tweet: “now that i have the blue mark i can kick people off the platfrom (cq) right you hear me @AaronRodgers” Seeing the Hall of Fame linebacker trolling the future Hall of Fame quarterback may have been the highlight of the season for Bears fans,...

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers claims he's being targeted by the 'woke mob' and a media 'witch hunt' for being unvaccinated after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this week, and says he's fighting his infection with ivermectin on the advice of podcaster Joe Rogan. Rodgers, who will miss Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, appeared on the Pat McAfee show on Friday to speak publicly for the first time since his positive test. 'I realize I'm in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now,' Rodgers said. 'So before my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket, I think I would like to set the record straight on so many of the blatant lies that are out there about myself.' The reigning NFL MVP has taken criticism for implying the he was vaccinated back in August. When asked if he received the injection at the time, Rodgers said, 'yeah, I'm immunized,' leading may to think he was vaccinated. On Friday, Rodgers told McAfee that he would have cleared up any confusion if the reporters had asked...
Seven weeks into the 2021 NFL season, Aaron Rodgers is still on top of his game. LAS VEGAS — By passing on his option to declare independence from the Packers, Aaron Rodgers is taking the NFL’s most dramatic offseason showdown into crunch time. It was no surprise in early June when the league’s reigning MVP failed to report for Green Bay’s mandatory minicamp and officially became a holdout. There was some suspense Friday, the NFL’s deadline day for players to opt-out of the 2021 season for COVID-19 reasons, and Rodgers had millions of financial reasons to do so. While the 37-year-old quarterback declined to opt-out, it does not mean he’s all-in on a return to the Packers. What it means is Rodgers has one fewer card to play as the game of chicken — or double jeopardy — continues. “Rodgers is probably staying put,” DraftKings sportsbook director John Avello said. “If he leaves the team, the team...
Aaron Rodgers may have found his way out of the Green Bay Packers – at least for this season. NFL players will be able to opt-out of playing this season over concerns about the coronavirus pandemic. The NFL and the NFL Players Association agreed that only high-risk players will be able to receive a $350,000 stipend. According to Pro Football Talk, players can opt-out regardless of whether they had been diagnosed with a high-risk condition or if they opted out last season. Rodgers, in theory, could opt out no questions asks and won’t have to play for the Packers. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM He would have by July 2 to decide. Furthermore, Pro Football Talk noted that Rodgers wouldn’t have to forfeit $11.5 million in signing bonus money and would still get his roster bonus. He would continue to be fined if he doesn’t show up for Packers camp. Green Bay has been adamant about not trading Rodgers. He opened up to ESPN in May about what he called a culture issue within the organization. "I...

But the situation certainly does appear to be impacting the second-year pro’s workload. As a rookie, Love didn’t play a single down and never participated in any preseason games due to the pandemic. With Rodgers sitting out Green Bay’s mandatory minicamp, the Packers now must prepare for the possibility Love could open the season as their starting quarterback. “My mindset this whole offseason’s been to get ready, get myself ready, and that’s been my mindset since I got here,” Love said Wednesday. “Whether Aaron was here or not here, that’s going to be my mindset regardless, because I have to get myself ready to play and be able to go out there and take charge of the team and be able to perform...
Peyton Manning knows a thing or two about moving on from a dynasty, and despite his own success with it, he still would like to see Aaron Rodgers stay with the Green Bay Packers.  The former Indianapolis Colts quarterback spoke about the recent drama surrounding Rodgers and reports that he could potentially play for another team next season in an interview with TMZ Sports on Wednesday. HALL OF FAME NFL GM ON AARON RODGERS, PACKERS RIFT: ‘A LOT OF DIVAS PLAYING IN THE LEAGUE RIGHT NOW’ "Aaron doesn’t need advice from me, he’ll make a good decision," Manning said. "We’ll see how it plays out. He’s done such a great job there in Green Bay. I think every player, their goal is to stay on one team the entire time that they can. Obviously, Tom (Brady) made a move and … when I think of Aaron I think of the Green Bay Packers, right? Same with Brett Favre." Manning was drafted by the Colts as the No. 1 overall pick in the 1998 draft. He played 13 phenomenal seasons, resulting...
Davante Adams might have left a comment on the Packers-Aaron Rodgers struggle via social media. Or, ya know, it was just Twitter. Rodgers and the Packers are stuck in a whirlwind of emotion, with neither side emerging as the victor until No. 12 is either in a different uniform or returning to the Green Bay facility for training camp. While Rodgers is unhappy with the Packers front office, Green Bay has supported him with a solid No. 1 receiver in Davante Adams. Yet, it’s unsurprising that Adams would support his quarterback in this dilemma, as life without Rodgers likely won’t be as prosperous for the 28-year-old. On social media, Adams dropped one hell of a subtweet about the situation, or so we think. Gotta appreciate what u got while ya got it! — Davante Adams (@tae15adams) May 3, 2021 Davante Adams knows the Packers need Aaron RodgersAdams has made the Pro Bowl in four straight seasons, and was an All-Pro in 2020. Reigning NFL MVP and part-time Jeopardy host Aaron Rodgers has reportedly become dissatisfied in Green Bay and has told Packers officials that he doesn't want to return to the team. The 37-year-old is frustrated by contract extension negotiations with the team, according to NFL Network. Rodgers is reportedly seeking 'contractural security' in a deal that would prevent the need for any future restructuring - a common practice by NFL teams with their highest-paid players.  As ESPN reported ahead of Thursday's NFL Draft, the Packers are aware and concerned about Rodgers's displeasure. Sources told ESPN that Packers president Mark Murphy, general manager Brian Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur have all met with Rodgers privately this off-season, and outwardly, the team remains committed to the former Super Bowl champion. If Packers fans are wondering why it has taken so long for Green Bay to make big moves in free agency, Aaron Rodgers’ contract has something to do with it.  Ever since free agency got underway, Green Bay Packers fans have been waiting to see general manager Brian Gutekunst make a big splash. Yet, we’ve seen players who figured to be prime Packers targets sign elsewhere. Green Bay supporters were dreaming of the team signing a stud wide receiver, including Will Fuller, TY Hilton and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Yet, nothing happened. According to ESPN insider and Packers writer Rob Demovsky, it’s because Aaron Rodgers’ massive contract is holding things up a bit.Aaron Rodgers’ contract is the reason Green Bay hasn’t made big moves with free agentsPer Demovsky, the Packers front office has reached out to agents and basically made it known that they’d like to make a move, but because of cap issues, there’s only so much money they’d be able to offer. This of course is going to have a negative impact on potential targets, as they’d understandably accept more...
We’ve found without question the best throw that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has ever made.  Throughout his sensational career, Aaron Rodgers has been known for creating magic on the gridiron for the Green Bay Packers. The future Hall-of-Famer will go down as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. Time and time again, we’ve been left speechless by some of his throws. With that said, which has been the best of the best? We’ve found inarguably his best toss, as he somehow got the ball off on the play below and found Davante Adams for a ridiculous touchdown. Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will be the center of attention when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers square off in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday afternoon. It will only be the fourth meeting between the future first-ballot Hall of Fame quarterbacks, and it will be the first time they face each other in the postseason. The Buccaneers defeated Green Bay, 38-10, in their meeting on Oct. 18 in Tampa. The other two times they met, Brady was still the quarterback for the New England Patriots. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM In 2014, the Packers pulled out a 26-21 win over New England at Lambeau Field, and four years later, the Patriots rolled to a 31-17 victory in Foxborough. "I remember when I heard the news about him coming to the NFC, I thought this was a real possibility," Rodgers said. "I’m excited about the opportunity to play against him one more time." Brady and the Bucs are rolling. Tampa Bay is currently on a seven-game winning streak in road games, which is a...

The Green Bay Packers went 13-3 in Matt LaFleur’s first season to win the NFC North. But after overachieving in 2019, their regression back to reality will lead to missing the NFL playoffs in 2020. Sporting News is picking the Packers to slide by four games and finish at 9-7, just missing the postseason as the team loses the tiebreaker — to the reigning NFC champion 49ers — for the seventh and final spot in the new, expanded NFC field. The conference is loaded with Super Bowl contenders. Seven teams — the 49ers, Buccaneers, Saints, Eagles, Cowboys, Seahawks and the division rival Vikings — all have better Las Vegas odds to win it all than the Packers this season. Why is Green Bay the odd team out in that company, with Tampa Bay and Dallas being the two teams crashing the 2019 field instead? Recently, former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. The 36-year-old opened up on various subjects and had a very low opinion on the Green Bay Packers and how they treated Aaron Rodgers. Cowherd himself was not too impressed with the Packers either, and criticized their lack of aggression in their moves. Clearly, Brandon Marshall echoed the same sentiments, especially when referring to Aaron Rodgers. He said, “It’s too late. Come on man, they should’ve won two Super Bowls in the last five years. To me, Aaron Rodgers is my favorite quarterback in the NFL, but you wasted this guy’s career. You got one Super Bowl out of Aaron Rodgers? Are you kidding me? It’s too late! It’s too late.” On one end of the spectrum, a quarterback of Rodgers’ caliber should have multiple Super Bowls under his belt. However, on the other hand, Rodgers has had the misfortune of playing in the same era as several top class quarterbacks. He has been pitted against Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, Andrew...
