In the 45 minute slot their year group are given for their dinner, they claim they have had to queue for half an hour before even getting served. This has resulted in them ending up with around eight minutes to eat their lunch before going to their next lessons. The two pupils have also claimed that some other youngsters have ended up with barely any lunch due to staffing and supply options, as well as having insufficient...
Bethany Mandel is the editor of the children's book publisher Heroes of Liberty  America's kids are not okay and it's America's adults who hurt them. In May of 2020, I was just one of the millions of parents – on the political right, left and center – who begged policymakers to weigh the potential benefits of our draconian pandemic mitigation measures against the potential harms. I was canceled and smeared as a 'Grandma Killer' on Twitter for refusing to sacrifice the quality of my children's lives to protect vulnerable adults. But I resisted. I would not lock my kids down inside our home for irrational fear of Covid, and I was proven right. Today my kids are thriving; something few parents in liberal regions of the country can say. My local elementary school, which my children would have attended if they weren't homeschooled, has seen the math scores for 3rd graders drop from 38.7% proficient in 2019, to 5.6% in 2021. The reading scores or ELA (English Language Arts) scores dropped from an already dismal 26.7% in 2019 to 7.5% in 2021....

A former physical therapist accused of killing his family in their Disney town home nearly three years ago blamed his wife for murdering his children during his trial, despite having previously confessed to their slayings. 'I came home and my kids were dead,' Anthony Todt, 46, of Connecticut, told the jury Wednesday. 'It was the most horrible day of my life. What made it more horrible was that my wife died in front of me also.' Dear Amy: I recently found out from my college-aged kids that when they were much younger (perhaps 8 or 9), they were spending the weekend with my sister-in-law and for some reason she told them their parents (us) were getting a divorce and if they wanted to talk to someone about it, they could call her. Dear Amy: My brother and I were very close growing up. We maintained a good relationship into our 20s. Lately our relationship has become strained. Amy Dickinson  For his last two birthdays, I have generously treated him to fun and thoughtful experiences. I do this because I love him, and I enjoy being generous. For my last two birthdays, he did not even wish me a happy birthday. He did however show up to my birthday dinner and usurp my spot at the table because he “did not want to sit next to the old people” in our family. I have reached out to him many times. He never responds. I believe he either does not want a relationship with me, or this is his way of having a relationship with me. Last weekend I was having supper with our father at dad’s apartment, and he intruded in the middle of our meal and conversation without so much as saying hello. DEAR HARRIETTE: I live in a neighborhood that got hit hard by snow recently. I told my sons to go around the neighborhood and ask if they could help people shovel out their driveways. Harriette Cole  When I was growing up, we used to do that for a few dollars. We don’t have as much snow these days, but I thought it would be good for my boys in terms of helping out and also making some money. Turns out, people did let them shovel their driveways, but several of them didn’t offer the boys a dime for doing it. I am really disappointed. My boys worked sometimes for hours to dig out cars and paths. At the very least, they should have been offered a healthy tip. Do you think I should say something to the homeowners who were so stingy? My boys are high schoolers, so they should have spoken up and negotiated a rate on the front end, but I hate seeing them being taken advantage of. A MUM is now raising 14 children after naturally conceiving quintuplets, triplets and two sets of twins. Karen then delivered twins Diez and Dior, 3, who are often referred to as the “triplins” as tragically their triplet brother Carter, who passed away just a couple of hours after delivery. While all of the Derrico children are given named beginning with ‘D’, Carter was the exception as his parents wanted to give him a special and different name. And in 2019 Karen and Deon became parents again, welcoming triplets Dawsyn, De’Aren, and Dyver, rounding off their brood to 14. 4They are raising two sets of twins, triplets and a set of quintuplets, all conceived naturallyCredit: Instagram The reason the Las Vegas couple have conceived so many...
THE heartbroken mum of two young children killed by their dad told a court "they were my world" as he was detained in hospital indefinitely today. Nadarajah Nithiyakumar cut the throats of his 19-month-old daughter Pavinya and three-year-old son Nigish while his wife was in the shower at their east London home. 3Shop worker Nadarajah Nithiyakumar killed his two young kids The 41-year-old admitted manslaughter by diminished responsibility after psychiatrists concluded he was suffering a delusional disorder. At the Old Bailey earlier today, Mrs Justice Cutts handed him a hospital order without limit of time. She told him: "The consequences of your actions have been devastating. Two young and innocent children have had their futures and their lives taken from them by their own father. "Your wife came out of the shower on what she considered to be a normal day to the most horrific scene imaginable. "Her babies dead or dying on the bed, you with a knife in your hand." In a victim impact statement, the children's mother, Nisanthini Nithiyakumar, said: "After my children were born I was...
A mom who claims she was fired from her job over her noisy kids is now suing her former employer for discrimination. Self-proclaimed mommy blogger Dris Wallace, who goes by her maiden name Rios, had been doing her finance job from home since mid-March due to the coronavirus outbreak while home-schooling and caring for her two children, ages 1 and 4. Rios, who lives in San Diego, California, said she tried to keep her kids occupied during conference calls and meetings with clients, but sometimes, the youngsters could be heard talking or crying in the background. “The first week we were assigned to work from home due to COVID in mid-March, the comments started coming in,” Rios, 35, told The Post. “He was setting expectations and didn’t want to hear children on calls. He wanted complete silence.” In an essay on ScaryMommy.com, the Modern Cali Mom blogger claimed her supervisor’s expectations were unrealistic for a working mom without an exclusive caretaker during a pandemic. Yet, Rios claimed her boss continued to allegedly “harass” her and reprimanded her multiple times for allowing...

(CNN)My wife, Gilda, is Black. We met years ago when I was working in Angola, her native country in southern Africa. Together, we have two mixed-race children, Haakon and Gabriella, ages 6 and 3. On the evening of May 25, Gilda and I were finishing up a Memorial Day dinner with some friends; we had enjoyed a sunny afternoon boating near Excelsior, a quaint little touristy town on Lake Minnetonka, an affluent area just west of Minneapolis where we live. As we were wrapping up our dinner, we were completely unaware that just a few miles away, a Minneapolis police officer was digging his knee into the neck of an unarmed Black man named George Floyd, ultimately killing him in broad daylight. Arick WiersonIt wasn't until the next morning that I first saw the video clips of then-Officer Derek Chauvin pinning a handcuffed and defenseless Black man to the ground. As I watched the video detailing the moments during which Floyd was killed, my life changed forever. I am White, educated and consider myself fairly liberal on most social...
