New York City Mayor Eric Adams slammed former mayor Rudy Giuliani for 'using police to carry out [his] agenda' after he had a Staten Island supermarket worker arrested for assault, citing video that he says seems to undermine the former city leader's account of the incident. 'I looked at the video,' Adams said Tuesday. 'I would like to remind former mayor Giuliani that falsely reporting a crime is a crime.'  Adams said not only should Giuliani be investigated for filing a false police report over the alleged assault, but that he's also asked Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell to look into the arrest of ShopRite worker Daniel Gill, 39.  Gill can a be seen on security video patting Giuliani on the back during a campaign stop for Andrew Giuliani, who is running for New York State governor.  He then reportedly says to the former mayor: 'What's up, scumbag?' As a clearer picture emerges of Tuesday's horrific school shooting in Texas, there are growing questions over why it took so long for police and school resource officers to get to the killer.  Salvador Ramos, 18, managed to bypass a school resource officer and two cops on his way into Robb Elementary School at 11.30am.  It wasn't until 1.06pm that police in Uvalde finally announced that he had been shot dead.  What is unclear is why it took police so long to kill him, what exactly happened in the classroom in the hour between then,  and what police plan to do now to make sure it never happens again.  The Texas Department of Safety has now opened an investigation into police response to the shooting.  1) Why didn't school resource officer stop Ramos at school entrance when he first arrived? A school resource officer whose job it is to stop shooters was unable to stop Ramos from strolling into the school with an AR-15. The gunman instead bypassed him 'unimpeded', according to sources, to make his way inside. That resource...
Investigators probing a suspected murder-suicide in upstate New York believe the gunman was a jealous NYPD cop who gunned down a love rival outside a bar before turning the weapon on himself. DailyMail.com has learned that off-duty officer Sean Armstead tailed his wife and a man he suspected she was having an affair with as they drove through Wallkill, 80 miles north of New York City late on Sunday night. Sources say he cornered the pair outside a Buffalo Wild Wings on Route 211 before chasing down the mystery 'lover' and shooting him dead. The crazed cop then killed himself in the same parking lot, it's believed. Armstead's wife was not thought to have been harmed in the shooting that unfolded around 10:40pm. The couple's marital $450,000 home in Port Jervis, 40 miles from Wallkill, was being guarded by multiple police cars Monday morning. One of the heads of the Colombo crime family was freed from a Brooklyn jail on a $5 million bond on Friday despite federal prosecutors' objections that he was still conducting mafia business.  Mob consigliere Ralph DiMatteo, 66, walked out prison just five months after turning himself in to the FBI in New York City after his son had posted a photo of the wanted fugitive at a sunny Florida pool.  DiMatteo was charged with 13 other mobsters on racketeering and extortion charges and has pleaded not guilty.  Despite prosecutors' claims that DiMatteo was still an active member of the Colombo crime family and offering the group advice, Brooklyn Federal Court Magistrate James Cho said the mobster was not a flight risk and that home detention and phone monitoring was enough to 'alleviate the risk,' the New York Daily News reported.  Ralph DiMatteo, 66, had surrendered himself to the FBI in September after his son posted a picture of his parents at a Florida pool. The Colombo family consigliere was freed on a $5 million bond on Friday DiMatteo served...

Donald Trump is not an ideas man. This has been a defining feature of his presidency. He’s not a learned policy wonk, understanding the complex nuances of law and governance. He is, at his core, just a former game show host and a con man. Never is this more clear than when reporters ask him about public policy problems he’s not prepared for. (Of course, even on topics where Trump should be prepared, like health care, he struggles to put together a coherent thought.) This happens even with friendly outlets. On Wednesday, Trump appeared with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade on his radio show. And in an exchange flagged by CNN’s Daniel Dale, Kilmeade asked a surprisingly decent and provocative question. Trump had no idea how to respond, so he just rambled. But his rambling was revealing. It’s worth quoting the entire exchange in full: Kilmeade: But this is the one stat I’m going to bring you to, and I’m going to ask you if could attack this. According to an Axios-Ipsos poll, 70% of white Americans say they trust...
