She posted a screenshot to her Instagram on Sunday showing a candelabra worth $312, not $5,000, alongside a clown face emoji suggesting she disagrees with the claim.  However, she does not confirm or deny the theft.  According to the report, Diduk was captured on security cameras holding the candelabra on her forearm while making her way from the property. "Tiger King" stars Jeff and Lauren Lowe have been prohibited from exhibiting animals permanently, according to a new request granted by a judge. On Dec. 23, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma entered a consent decree between the Lowes and the United States. It terminates the couple's interests in 97 endangered or threatened animals seized from their facility. The decree also affirms that the Lowes have legally abandoned an additional 41 animals covered by the Animal Welfare Act (AWA). Plus, on the same day, the court granted the United States' motion for a default judgment against the defendants Tiger King LLC and Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park LLC, prohibiting them from exhibiting animals in the future, terminating their interests in animals seized from the Lowes' facility and permanently placing the animals covered under the AWA in licensed facilities. "Together, this consent decree and default judgment resolve the claims in a civil enforcement action brought by the Department of Justice to address the Lowes’ recurring inhumane treatment and improper handling of animals protected by the Endangered Species Act...
Jeff Lowe, the owner of the Tiger King private zoo, has officially been banned from ever exhibiting animals again. On Thursday, a judge ruled that Jeff Lowe, his wife, and his company had violated the Endangered Species Act. The ruling said that Lowe had “violated the ESA by delivering, carrying and/or transporting” illegally-caught animals that are protected by the ESA. Lowe may have gotten away with being able to keep the animals if he had not decided to exhibit those animals online without a proper license, thereby breaking the law. A total of 146 animals were officially seized by the feds from the Tiger King zoo, many showing signs of long-term neglect.  This is a success for animal activists everywhere as the show, Tiger King, represents everything wrong with keeping animals in captivity for human entertainment. The fact that the actual zoo was still open just highlighted how little protection wild animals have in the US. While Lowe avoided charges, he is now banned from exhibiting animals. Furthermore, the animals that were seized were sent to sanctuaries around...

"Tiger King" star Jeff Lowe has scrapped his plans to spread late zookeeper Erik Cowie’s ashes at the Oklahoma zoo.  Lowe previously had plans to claim his friend’s remains and spread them as part of a memorial service along with his favorite cat, who died recently as well. At the time, Lowe was looking into claiming Cowie’s remains as a family member had not come forward yet following his death. However, Lowe tells TMZ that someone claiming to be a relative of Cowie’s had indeed come forward and collected his remains from the medical examiner in New York following his autopsy. The outlet reports that Lowe knew Cowie had children but he didn’t think they would claim his remains. Representatives for the medical examiner did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.   REMAINING ANIMALS AT 'TIGER KING' ZOO TO BE TURNED OVER TO JUSTICE DEPARTMENT 'Tiger King' star Jeff Lowe says he's hoping to hold a memorial for Erik Cowie. Jeff Lowe is reportedly hoping to claim fellow "Tiger King" star Erik Cowie’s remains in order to give him a proper sendoff.  Cowie, one of the many zookeepers who kept things running at the Oklahoma zoo owned by Lowe as well as by Joseph Maldonado-Passage, better known as Joe Exotic, died earlier this month in New York City.  According to a report from TMZ, Cowie did not have any immediate family members who could legally take custody of his remains. As a result, following his autopsy, the responsibility could fall on the city to respectfully lay Cowie to rest. However, Lowe has other ideas.  Lowe told the outlet that he is actively working to get in touch with the proper authorities to claim Cowie’s remains so that he can give him a proper sendoff at the Thackerville, Okla., zoo he loved so much. If given custody of his remains, Lowe plans to have him cremated and spread his ashes along with his favorite cat, a Liger named Django, which died last year. In addition, Lowe plans to have a memorial...

Then, the federal complaint alleges they created an illegal, unlicensed wildlife park on a 33-acre tract in Thackerville, Oklahoma, named “Tiger King Park.” The complaint accuses the Lowes of violating the Endangered Species Act “by illegally taking, possessing, and transporting protected animals,” according to a Justice Department statement Thursday. It also accuses them of violating the Animal Welfare Act “by exhibiting without a license and placing the health of animals in serious danger.” “The Lowes' animals have suffered from and continue to suffer from...

The US Justice Department is suing the current owner of the exotic animal zoo featured in the Netflix series “Tiger King” — alleging its animals were in bad shape and “decomposing big cat carcasses” were found on the premises. The feds’ civil complaint alleges that Jeffrey and Lauren Lowe violated the Endangered Species Act and the Animal Welfare Act while operating the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma. In the summer, inspectors from the USDA Animal Plant and Health Inspection Service found a number of animals in poor health and hygiene at the park, the DOJ said. One lion cub, named Nala, was “lethargic, depressed, thin, and would not get up out of the mud even after prompting,” the DOJ said in a statement. The cub was later diagnosed with with an upper respiratory infection, dehydration and urinary tract infection, the DOJ said. The feds also alleged found “foul-smelling, partially burned and decomposing big cat carcasses and a broken-down refrigerator truck containing rotting meat,” the department said. When inspectors from the USDA suspended Jeff Lowe’s license, the couple moved...

Two trespassers at the Tiger King zoo were allegedly shot dead by workers who then burned and buried their bodies, according to one time owner Jeff Lowe.  The alleged crime was not reported and a lawyer for Joe Exotic, who sold the land to Lowe, has said the claims are part of 'another example of his efforts to smear Joe's good name'.  But Lowe has said a number of different people have told him the story and he now believes the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma to be haunted, The Sun reports.  He told Travel Channel show Ghost Adventures 'six different people...came to us with the same story' that two workers were taking drugs and drinking beers when they spotted the trespassers.  Lowe added:  'One of those two always carried (guns) and he shot at them, killed one on the fence, the second was winged and landed on the ground. 'They went over to finish off the person on the ground and the initial shooter got violently ill, he couldn't look at the person and finish the job. The person, who...
TWO people were shot dead, burned and buried at the Tiger King zoo, former owner Jeff Lowe has shockingly claimed. Jeff, who bought the zoo from Joe Exotic, says that six different people have told him how two unnamed zoo employees were drinking and doing drugs when they saw two trespassers and shot them. The alleged crime was unreported. 7Jeff Lowe claims two people were murdered while Exotic owned the zoo Credit: AFP or licensors Bizarrely he now believes that the zoo is haunted by evil spirits because of the alleged incident - as well as by the ghost of Joe's ex husband Travis Maldonado, who shot himself on the site. The revelations emerge in a new Travel Channel show called Ghost Adventures - out Thursday - in which paranormal investigator Zak Bagans, probes supernatural activity at the zoo. Although the alleged murders have not been confirmed by authorities, Jeff took cameras to a dumping site at G.W Zoo known as the "back 40”, which he claims is “notorious cursed land”. Joe's team has dismissed the claims. He then...
PAULS VALLEY, Okla. (AP) — Netflix's “Tiger King” star Jeff Lowe has agreed to pay up to over $100,000 in delinquent state sales taxes, penalties and interest. In June, the Oklahoma Tax Commission accused Lowe in a lawsuit of failing to turn over taxes collected on sales when he took over the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park from founder Joe Exotic in 2016. Under the agreement, Lowe is making a $20,000 down payment and then $2,500 monthly payments to resolve the tax debt, The Oklahoman reported. Garvin County District Judge Leah Edwards approved the settlement Sept. 18. The total base taxes he owed for February 2016 through December 2017 was $69,487.92. Lowe can ask the commission to waive the penalties and interest upon payment of all the base taxes but if the waiver is denied, he must complete payments. Lowe blames Joe Exotic for the suit. “This is part of the shrapnel field of the mess that Joe Exotic left behind when he was embezzling funds from the park, misreporting his sales tax,” he said. Joe Exotic, whose real name...

It’s more bad news for Jeff Lowe from the hit Netflix series “Tiger King.” PETA confiscated three lions through a court order from the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park, which shuttered in August. According to a press release Tuesday from the animal rights organization, three juvenile lions were taken after PETA won a lawsuit last month against Lowe’s former business partner Tim Stark. Stark had transferred the lions to Lowe, PETA claimed. A fourth lion was also moved from Stark to Lowe, although “PETA recently learned that she died under suspicious circumstances,” the press release said. “Tiger King” star Carole Baskin is roaring mad over what might happen to the big cats who were housed at Joe Exotic’s former Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park. It has been closed after the USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service suspended the license of Jeff Lowe, who now operates the zoo. “Jeff … closing the GW Zoo to the public unfortunately does nothing to relieve the animals of the serious mistreatment documented in recent USDA inspections,” Baskin said in a statement e-mailed to Page Six. “Now that USDA will no longer inspect the facility, the animals are at even greater risk.” Lowe’s zoo was formerly owned by Exotic. Baskin was granted ownership of the land by a judge in June, and Lowe was given time to wind down operations. The inspection found the cats were lacking in adequate veterinary care. Lowe stated on Facebook: “The animals are now in private hands and will remain in private hands.” Meanwhile, Baskin is attempting to push forward a bill that would “ban cub handling and phase out private ownership.” Filed under Carole...
