One of baseball’s most exciting and talented young superstars is reportedly available with two and a half weeks to MLB’s Aug. 2 trade deadline. The Nationals will “entertain” trade offers for outfielder Juan Soto, according to The Athletic and FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal. The willingness comes after extension talks between the team and the 23-year-old stalled on a 15-year, $440 million offer. While $440 million would be the most money signed on a single contract by any player in baseball history, the length of time would mean the average salary would only be $29.33 million, only the 20th highest in baseball history. The deal would also lock Soto in with Washington through his age-38 season. In his fifth season in the big leagues, Soto is batting .247 with 19 home runs and 42 RBI. His .895 OPS ranks seventh in the National League, as of Saturday morning. Soto’s high-level ability at such a young age — he’s four months younger than Giants prospect Hunter Bishop, for example — puts him on some record-shattering paces already. He’s already hit 117 career...

ARSENAL are ready to listen to offers for record signing Nicolas Pepe as they look to generate funds for another summer spending spree. He still has two years of his £140,000-a-week Arsenal contract to run and matching those wages could prove a major stumbling block for interested clubs. Wilson’s agent, Mark Rodgers, said last week that Wilson wants to remain in Seattle but would waive his no-trade clause for the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Las Vegas Raiders or Chicago Bears. “I believe that they will obviously listen to...

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports noted that it is shaping up to be one of the busiest offseasons the NFL has ever seen, with some suggesting that as many as 20 teams could go into the 2021 season with a new signal caller behind center. While there are already some big names in the mix — namely Deshaun Watson, who has reportedly asked the Houston Texans for a trade — La Canfora believes that the Seahawks should get into the mix and listen to potential offers for their Pro Bowl quarterback. He acknowledged that it would be very unlikely for the team to part ways with the quarterback who has already delivered a Super Bowl win and is still in the prime of his career, but Seattle might be able to squeeze a historic return if they should decide to trade him. “Could you...
