WE often hear about people who are annoyed with their neighbours and the amount of noise they make. But one woman was left feeling mortified when she found out that SHE was the "neighbour from hell", after receiving an email from the woman next door. 3Michelle was left feeling awful when she received an email from her neighbour complaining about her fire alarm going offCredit: TikTok/@michellemeleskie 3As well as being irritated by the noise, the woman was worried about Michelle's wellbeing as she could see the light was onCredit: Getty "I just found out that I am the neighbour from hell and I feel terrible," Michelle began her TikTok video. "I was out last night and I woke up to an email from my neighbour that came through at around 9.45, being like 'Hey Michelle, your fire alarm has been going off for hours now and your light's on, so I'm concerned that you're home and that there's been an accident'." Because Michelle doesn't check her emails at that time, her neighbour ended up having to call...
As a confident and successful businesswoman, I have never baulked when it comes to asking for what I want and need.  While building my career as the CEO of Coco de Mer — a global luxury brand selling beautiful lingerie — I always considered myself the equal of any man I met professionally. I wouldn’t have dreamed of compromising myself in order to keep a male colleague’s ego intact. And yet, when I was younger, expressing my needs in the bedroom was a much greater challenge.  So much so that, although I hate to admit it now, I resorted to faking orgasms to protect the ego of the man I was in bed with.  Back then sex wasn’t so openly discussed among women. It was only in my early twenties, when I watched that iconic scene in the film When Harry Met Sally, where Meg Ryan gave a table-thumping performance of faking an orgasm, that I realised this was something many women did. Lucy Litwack, 48, (pictured) made a name for herself selling beautiful lingerie and always considered herself the equal...

TRUTH be told, I don't really like over-ear headphones. While the sound is superior than in-ears, it's the comfort I have an issue with. 2Music to my earsCredit: Sennheiser Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless, £299 at Currys - buy now I hate the feeling of a band on my head and my ears burning up after too long. Then I met the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless. They certainly tick the comfort box with ease, as well as a few other essentials like battery. But there are some niggly points too. Simple style Despite the £299 asking price, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless don't exactly ooze luxury on the eye. It's not to say they don't look nice, they're just a bit simple with black plastic and fabric. This does help the overall headset feel very light, which is essential for comfort. IN THIS fast-paced world, most people tend to always be looking toward their next goal. But if we don't take the time to slow down once in a while, our bodies can physically and mentally shut down in what's called burnout. 3'Burnout' can manifest through many psychical and mental symptomsCredit: Getty 3A big sign of approaching burnout is fatigue and trouble sleepingCredit: Getty Take it from Jordan Lee Dooley, a true multi-hyphenate who's experienced burnout firsthand. While in college, Jordan started a small business called SoulScripts that quickly became a large social media community where people began sending in personal stories and encouraging messages. She then took on more creative projects, speaking to college campuses, and self-publishing her writing. Eventually, she was offered a publishing opportunity that led her to become a Wall Street Journal best-selling author. On top of writing, Jordan hosts the SHE with Jordan Lee Dooley podcast, provides mentorship to other entrepreneurs, and keeps up with her SoulScripts shop. A typical meal for me includes a balanced ratio of carbs and fat with plenty of protein, like this egg scramble with turkey and black beans. Gabby Landsverk As a nutrition reporter, I've found tracking my macros is the best strategy for me to eat healthily.  I aim for a ratio of about 30-40% carbs, 30-40% fat, and 20-30% protein on a typical day. The balance of nutrients makes me feel more energized and leads to better workouts.  Visit Insider's homepage for more stories. As a nutrition reporter, I don't stick to any particular diet like vegan or keto. What does work for me is tracking my macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, and fat) to make sure I'm eating to support my fitness goals, like building muscle and getting stronger.  After tracking my diet for years, I learned I perform optimally when I get 35-40% of my daily calories from carbs, 35-40% from fat, and 20-30% from protein.  Balancing my macros improves my focus and energy levels, supports my intense gym schedule, and ensures I get enough high quality nutrients throughout...

BEFORE I had my daughter Blake, I used to hate Mother’s Day. I saw it as a pastel sucker-punch to all those who want to be mums but aren’t, and to all those whose mums are no longer around. L to R: The author as a child and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The author I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder as a kid. Until the pandemic started last year, I had no idea how bad it could be. It finally began to feel like exactly what it is — a serious and life-affecting mental illness. Visit Insider's homepage for more stories. I was a toddler the first time I felt too afraid to fall asleep. I screamed and cried until my parents let me sleep in bed with them. It became an almost nightly routine.  When I was 8 years old, I started to understand what I was feeling. I felt butterflies in my stomach, but each butterfly grew larger and fluttered faster with every breath I took. I squeezed my "special blankie," the tattered covering I'd slept with ever since I was born, and tied knots into it, an involuntary self-soothing measure. I had a visceral fear of nothing. I later learned to describe as an overwhelming fear of impending doom, but at 8...

For most of my life, flip-flops have been my go-to, super casual sandal for the warmer weather. But while they’re easy to throw on to run an errand and great for the beach, they’re not actually comfortable. This year, I was determined to find something better, and I lucked out immediately with this pair of Adidas Adilette Comfort Slides, which are easily the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever worn.  These slides are sporty, versatile, and a huge step up from thong-style flip-flops. They’re really soft, and they have an incredibly plush Cloudfoam Plus footbed that makes it feel like you’re wearing a pair of slippers instead of shoes. Bodysuits can be the best thing to happen to you while getting dressed. With one piece of clothing, you have a sleek top that can be paired with myriad options. For me, they’ve been so hit or miss that I had almost given up on them, until Yummie let me try out their Ruby Cotton Shaping Thong Back Bodysuit. With other bodysuits, I find myself constantly adjusting and tucking extra fabric into whatever bottom I’m wearing to make sure things fit right and stay where they’re supposed to be. It’s not a graceful move by any means.. Instead of having to unceremoniously stick my hands down my pants, I’m going to stick to Yummie’s bodysuit, which actually fits. Its stretchy, smoothing panel in the front and two rows of snaps make sure it’s the right fit.  The secret slimming panel is a big part of just how well it fits. It cinches you in at the waist, but not in an uncomfortable corset kind of way. The panel is Yummie’s middle of the road compression level, so it’s comfortable all...
