Conversation around taking a knee means people are forgetting the true cause, says Thierry Henry"The Premier League supports the players' decision and, alongside the clubs, will use these opportunities to elevate anti-racism messaging as part of the League's No Room for Racism Action Plan."Players will take the knee during the opening match round of the season, dedicated No Room for Racism match rounds in October and March, Boxing Day fixtures following the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Premier League matches on the final day of the season and The FA Cup and EFL Cup Finals."Read MoreThe player-led initiative had been...
An international women's friendly match had to be brought to a standstill when an eager dog invaded the pitch.  The hilarious moment happened on June 26 in the match between Chile and Venezuela at La Granja stadium in Curico.  With the scored tied 0-0 in the 36th minute, video footage showed the black dog strolling on the touchline as photographers stroked it.  Moments later, the Venzeuela team beat Chile's press at the back before winning a throw and the dog wasted no time in snatching the opportunity to enter the pitch. It demanded and got pats and belly rubs from Chilean goalkeeper Christiane Endler before getting the same treatment from the referee.  The match between Chile and Venezuela had to be brought to a standstill when an eager dog invaded the pitch The animal then demanded and got pats from Chilean goalkeeper Christiane Endler (right) It took two players and what looked to be a ball-boy to eventually get the dog off the pitch RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next David Beckham's Inter Miami are set to receive...

World No.1 Rafa Nadal might have won the match, but it was vintage Nick Kyrgios who swore, smashed his racquet, abused hecklers and somehow pulled Hollywood funnyman Ben Stiller into the drama of their explosive quarter final at Indian Wells on Friday. Kyrgios fell to Australian Open champion Nadal in a three-set thriller, eventually losing 7-6 (7-0) 5-7 6-4 to end an extraordinary tournament. And fans were treated to 24-carat Kyrgios tantrums throughout the rollercoaster clash.  Kyrgios famously managed to beat Nadal in a four-set Wimbledon victory in 2014 to reach the quarter finals on his way to a career-high ATP ranking of 13th in the world.  Kyrgios has also managed to topple Nadal at the ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati in 2017 and Acapulco, Mexico in 2019 so despite his lowly ranking of 132, he was still favoured to give Nadal a fair workout at Indian Wells on Friday. ????Does @NickKyrgios tell @BenStiller how to act? Novak Djokovic has finally made his return to tennis since missing the Australian Open after being deported over his unvaccinated status for Covid-19. The 34-year-old took to the court in the Dubai Duty Free Championships on Monday against Italy wildcard Lorenzo Musetti - his first match since his Davis Cup win over Marin Cilic on December 3. Djokovic was kicked out of Australia earlier this year before the tournament where he was defending champion began.  He arrived in the country to uproar after revealing he had a medical exemption to compete unvaccinated - which later emerged to be due to his claims he contracted the virus late last year.  He was in enforced hotel quarantine when Australia's border force cancelled his visa and he went to court trying to overturn their decision.  Speaking ahead of his match with Musetti, Djokovic struck a pensive tone and accepted that there will be many tournaments where he won't be allowed to play while he is unvaccinated. Tommy Fury may have been ruled out of his grudge match with fierce rival Jake Paul, with reports today suggesting he has withdrawn. The two fighters, who have been embroiled in a grizzly war of words in the months leading up to their showdown, were set to scrap a week on Saturday. However, it has now emerged that the bout is in serious doubt, with claims on social media surfacing about Fury potentially being forced to drop out. It has also been reported that Tyron Woodley, another of Paul's foes, may fill in instead for a potential rematch. Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka will square off in The Match 5 but we’re breaking down how these two golfers and their beef got to this point. In theory, the fifth iteration of Capital One’s The Match should be the end of a now years-long feud between two of the best American golfers in the world, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka, as the two foes settle it on the golf course on Friday, Nov. 26 at Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas. DeChambeau and Koepka have been trading barbs back and forth dating as far back as 2019 — at least as far as we know. However, that has escalated over the past year, even if the two elite players set aside their differences long enough to help lead the United States to a decisive Ryder Cup victory. But now that it’s time to settle the score, we must first look at how we got here. Namely, let’s take a look at all of the punches traded leading up to Capital One’s The Match: Bryson vs. Brooks.Bryson vs. Brooks: What...
