AARON RAMSDALE has revealed his bizarre pre-match ritual - and it was inspired by England legend Bobby Charlton.

The Arsenal keeper, who is part of the Three Lions' World Cup squad, does a specific routine before each and every game.

Ramsdale said: "In the changing rooms, if I am playing, I take myself away from the main changing room to put my gloves on.

"I don’t like everyone giving me well wishes.

"I put my right glove on, my left glove, take my right glove off and shake everyone’s hand so they are not touching my gloves. It is also a respect thing.

"It comes from Bobby Charlton. My dad met him once and he went to shake his hand and Bobby Charlton took his glove off to shake his hand so that sort of resonated with me.

"Then, I go out onto the pitch and put my glove back on, I go to the centre circle, play with the ball and then I go and touch the crossbar.

"I am not massively bothered if I do not touch the ball or crossbar but the gloves one is the main one."

In a vote on the Lions’ Den, the FA’s YouTube channel, fans had to vote over who would be the tidiest out of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Ramsdale.

England captain Kane won the vote and Ramsdale said: "He is an older senior player. He looks after himself. Always looks immaculate.

"Do I look like someone who folds his t-shirts? I just throw them on the floor and put them in the washing machine."

Three Lions skipper Kane trained yesterday after having scans on an ankle knock he picked up in the 6-2 win over Iran.

Barring a setback, he is expected to be fit for tomorrow's second group game against USA.

But midfielder James Maddison will miss the match, having not yet taken part in team training.

Richarlison’s tattoos explained as Brazil ace becomes ‘addicted’ to body art after following Cristiano Ronaldo

BRAZIL forward Richarlison's tattoos have been explained by his artist.

Previously, the Tottenham star admitted that he never imaged getting his body inked.

But when Richarlison finished as top scorer to help the Samba Boys win gold at the 2020 Olympics, he marked the occasion by getting the medal, his name and number on his left thigh.

That clearly proved the catalyst for the 25-year-old to get further tattoos.

And his artist Dom Tattoo has revealed to ESPN that he's now "hooked" to them.

This comes despite Richarlison previously following Cristiano Ronaldo and deciding against getting his body inked so he can donate blood.

Earlier this year, he got a tattoo on his neck which says "he's Brazilian" in reference to the song that Everton supporters used to sing to him.

His then got a piece of art on his chest.

Richarlison has a heart with a Brazilian flag with Dom stating that it represents his "addiction" to the national team.

But Dom claims that it wasn't planned with the footballer asking for it in the spur-of-the-moment.

Richarlison will be hoping to work his own magic when Brazil take to the field for their first knockout game against South Korea tonight.

He was rested against Cameroon on Friday, but he's set to return to the starting XI, especially with Gabriel Jesus out of the tournament.

The ex-Watford man has scored two goals in two appearances in Qatar.
