Homicide Investigation Into Thanksgiving Eve Shooting Outside Harrisburg Church: Police

The Harrisburg Police were called to "a report of shots fired with a person struck" in the 1600 block of Park Street on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, around 4 p.m., as stated in a release by the department.
Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound(s), as detailed in the release.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries, according to the release.
"An investigation was immediately initiated and is ongoing at this time," the police say.
A reward may be available for information leading to an arrest, the police noted.

74-Year-Old Man Reported Missing In Prince George's County Found Dead, Police Say
The tale of a 74-year-old man reported missing in Prince George’s County has ended in tragedy as he was found dead, police announced.
An alert was issued on Sunday, Dec. 4 regarding Johnnie Bouknight, who had last been seen at approximately 10 a.m. the day before in the 1200 block of Merganser Court in Upper Marlboro.
At the time, police only described Bouknight as being 6-foot-1 and weighing 165 pounds with a blue sweatsuit, black zip-up jacket, black sneakers, and a black ball cap.
However, shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, the Prince George's Police Department made an announcement that Bouknight was located, however, he was found dead in Montgomery County.
No other details were initially released by police investigators.
Investigators noted that there is no foul play suspected.
