Maryland man sets record with 77-pound long-fin tuna catch
A Maryland man broke an 18-year-old fishing record Tuesday when he reeled in a 77-pound long-fin tuna.
Thomas Bodmer made the catch while aboard the charter Top Dog, according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
"Captain Ryan Knapp and First Mate Josh were preparing to head back to shore after a slow fishing day," a release from the department read. "In a matter of minutes, three different lines went out simultaneously."

The two men and Bodmer rushed to pick up their rods.
"It was chaos," Bodmer said.
"I would get my fish close and then it would run back out. It took 25 minutes to get it."
Eventually, Bodmer caught the record-setting fish, and the crew knew he had a big one.
However, they had no idea it was going to break a record set in 2004, according to the release.
"All these people came out of the woodwork with cameras," Bodmer said.
"I was like a deer in headlights."
