ANTHONY PETTIS was beaten once again by Scotland's Stevie Ray - who is one win away from winning $1million.
Ray faced ex-UFC champion Pettis in New York, just six months after beating the American in Atlanta.
And his rematch win puts the lightweight in the Professional Fighters League's final in November.
The PFL is MMA's only league format, consisting of a two-bout regular season where points are earned per method of victory.
Then, the top four in each weight progress into the knockout stages which is a semis and final.
Ray lost his regular season opener but beat Pettis in his second fight by second-round submission, earning him five points.
That was enough to qualify him into the last four where he would need to rematch Pettis.
And Ray did the double over the MMA veteran, winning a unanimous points verdict.
Canada's Olivier Aubin-Mercier now awaits in the final, where the $1m cash prize and championship belt will be on the line.
