The "Bonanno" family name might not be as well known to you as Tony Soprano, but this real-life crime family is considered one of America's top five Mafia families according to the FBI— and a man  sharing that name has just been arrested for a shooting incident in Pennsylvania, authorities say.

, 56, of Manheim, saw two people around his parked car outside his home in the 1600 block of Auction Road in Penn Township just before 1 a.m. on Friday, August 5, according to a release by Northern Lancaster County Regional police.

Armed with a firearm, he exited his home to investigate and found  two people sitting inside a vehicle near his property, the release details.

He watched them exit the vehicle and walk towards a nearby apartment. 

"Suspecting the occupants were involved in criminal activity," he confronted them and "a verbal altercation ensued," as stated in the release.

Claim that he "felt in danger for his life," he fired “warning shot” at the  the direction of one of the subjects, he told the police.

Bonanno was arrested on charges of recklessly endangering another person and simple assault, according to the police.

The firearm involved was recovered.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY — The San Tomas Expressway has reopened at El Camino Real following a serious crash this morning.

The Santa Clara Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene of a traffic collision at the location at 6:15am on Nov.26.

The number of vehicles involved is unknown but major injuries were reported.

Police asked people to avoid the area as crews worked on the scene until 8:30am.

The road has now fully re-opened.

“Our traffic investigators investigated a major-injury collision this morning at San Tomas and ECR,” Lt Cuong Phan of the Santa Clara Police Department said in an email. “This remains an on-going investigation.”
