Two people were killed when a car crashed into a fireworks stand in northeast Washington on Saturday, authorities said.


The Metropolitan Police said in a tweet Saturday evening that "multiple pedestrians" had been struck around 6 p.m. EST in what became a "major crash scene.

" The tweet, which included a picture of the wreckage, said that the incident occurred around Minnesota Avenue and Hunt Place NE, located in the Benning neighborhood east of the Anacostia River.

UPDATE: Two adult victims have been pronounced deceased on scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Authorities did not immediately disclose the cause of the crash, nor did they offer any details on the condition of the driver. It was also not immediately clear if others were injured.

The destroyed fireworks stand shown in the picture provided by police was covered by a broken canopy and surrounded by cardboard boxes that reportedly contained merchandise.

A WALMART auto care technician is getting a lot of attention for a video informing customers not to bother workers if no one is at the service desk.

TikToker @iam_rockcity posted a video showing the garage area of Walmart's Auto Care Center with on-screen text reading: "Why do we have to struggle?"

While walking through the auto repair garage, the TikToker is seen in the video giving a PSA regarding service at Walmart's Auto Care Center.

"Just so you know, when you see two people working in the garage and then look over the counter and there’s no one there,” he begins.

While pointing the camera at the door of the garage showing the Auto Care Center service desk, he continued his statement.

"You should not be banging on this door because I'm not coming to open it," he said.

"It's not my fault Walmart doesn't make enough billions to hire somebody for the counter."

The mechanic commented on his TikTok video, which has more than 140,000 views, addressing Walmart about his issue directly.

"Hey @Walmart listen to your good employee’s why spend thousands to train me and not let me do what you taught me??" the comment said.

"I’ll wait……………….."

Many people in the comments of the video shared their own thoughts on Walmart, which is worth almost $400billion.

"Multi billion dollar company, 4 check stands open...." one person commented.

Another comment said: "They making those billions in part because they're screwing you employees over by not hiring enough people."

"It's true, Walmart is horrible with staffing, especially when it comes to the Auto Center. Where I live, there's only ever 2 or 3 there," someone else added.

Someone commented asking: "What Walmart is that?"

@iam_rockcity replied: "It’s the one that’s run by someone who doesn’t have a clue how to listen to the good people."

One person asked: "Why do people take their cars to Walmart to get worked on?"

The TikToker replied saying: "$46.88 full synthetic that’s why"

Some people shared their alleged Walmart Auto Care Center experiences in the comments.

"At the wal mart tire center right now. 10 customers deep. We all just stood there and waited for someone to come. Lol," one person wrote.

"I apologize, I’ve tried to bring awareness to this issue company wide," the mechanic wrote in response.

A person added: "Haaa. poor guys. I had the battery changed last week. Got there at 9am. One mechanic on duty, 2 hour wait."

With more than 13,000 likes on his video, @iam_rockcity replied to a comment saying: "It’s amazing how many people support this post. Share share share"

The Sun requested comment from Walmart but the company did not respond by publication time.
