Sometimes you don’t miss your ex-husband, but you do miss all his Warhols.
A source tells us socialite Libbie Mugrabi — who was previously married to leading Andy Warhol collector David Mugrabi — has snapped up her own work by the artist at auction.
Libbie was the winning bidder on the pop artist’s “Electric Chair,” for $201,600 at Phillips London’s evening auction of modern and contemporary works, a source revealed. It consists of a set of ten screenprints on woven paper and was part of the artist’s Death and Disaster series.
The socialite filed for divorce from David, whose family has a $5 billion art collection and owns the world’s largest private collection of Warhols, in 2018.
Their divorce became known as one of the nastiest in NYC and included a battle over blue-chip art works including a $500,000 Keith Haring sculpture the pair allegedly physically tussled over at their Upper East Side apartment.
Libbie asked for $100 million in her divorce from David Mugrabi. Details of the settlement were not made public. Patrick McMullan via Getty ImageWhile they settled in December 2020, a judge ordered the couple to swap a number of artworks.
However, when Libbie’s loot arrived she filed a police report in Southampton, accusing David of trying to dump damaged artwork on her. She claimed the $2 million Warhol “Statue of Liberty,” was water stained.
The Phillips London sale raked in $21 million.

The MMA community reacts to a wild war fought between Nate Landwehr and David Onama in the co-main event of UFC San Diego.
Though Marlon Vera and Dominick Cruz were the featured attraction of the evening at UFC San Diego, it was Nate Landwehr and David Onama in the co-main event who stole the show.
The fight didn’t look like it would last long early on, when Onama dropped Landwehr and went off on a wild flurry on the ground in an attempt to finish. Yet, Landwehr was not only able to survive, but get into top position and land his own fair share of significant strikes.
Onama, tired after failing to get the finish in the first, was the one finding trouble in the second, with Landwehr delivering heavy and ground-and-pound and getting to Onama’s back. Both men swung heavy shots late in the round, brawling to the delight of the crowd.
And then came the third round, with both men firing off heavy shots and forcing their tired bodies through an unbelievable and bloody war.
One judge scored the bout 28-28, but Landwehr got the win with two 29-27 scores.

Landwehr, a former featherweight champion of M-1, now has consecutive wins for the first time in the UFC. Onama, meanwhile, is now 2-2 in the promotion, scoring two wins in the Octagon in the time between his UFC debut and this loss.
