JORGINHO had his blushes spared by Christian Pulisic after the Chelsea midfielder missed a late penalty in the 1-0 win against West Ham.

The Blues scored a dramatic injury time winner at Stamford Bridge to extend their lead over fourth-placed Arsenal to five points.

It was a nervy end to the game for the hosts who were guilty of yet another below-par performance in front of their own fans.

And in the 87th minute they were handed the game on a plate when Hammers centre-back Craig Dawson was sent off for hauling down Romelu Lukaku inside the box.

Up stepped Jorginho, who was looking to score his tenth goal of the season, with all nine of his strikes this term coming from the penalty spot.

Just like Bruno Fernandes against Arsenal on Saturday, the Italian did his usual hop, skip and jump run-up, with his tame effort easily saved by Lukasz Fabianski.

The 30-year-old, who had his penalty saved by Jordan Pickford in the Euro 2020 final penalty shootout, has missed two spot-kicks on the international stage this term.

He was denied by Switzerland goalkeeper Yann Sommer in Italy's World Cup qualification clash in September.

Jorginho then blazed his shot high over the bar from 12 yards out in their next encounter in December which saw Italy miss out on automatic World Cup qualification.

After Italy's loss in their play-off against North Macedonia, Jorginho declared those missed penalties will haunt him for the rest of his life.

And after his latest missed penalty, Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness slammed his attempt from the spot.

He said: "It's pathetic. It's bouncing before it gets to the goalkeeper. I mean, that's an example of how to take a penalty. There's no conviction.

"I'll just pass it into the net, centre of goal. It's easy for the goalkeeper to save it. Poor penalty.

"That was going to bounce twice before it got to the goalkeeper."

Fans were also quick to slam the ex-Napoli ace on social media, as one tweeted: "Think that might be the worst penalty I’ve ever seen."

Another commented: "Remember when Jorginho was the best penaltytaker in the world?"

A third added: "Jorginho penalty was one of the s******* ever inflicted on our eyes."

This fan then remarked: "Jorginho with the worst penalty of the season."

Meanwhile one simply stated: "Jorginho should never be allowed to take another penalty again."

Another quipped: "Jorginho’s somehow just taken a penalty that was worse than Bruno’s yesterday."

Issa Rae has led the celebrity donations to the family of a 23-year-old pregnant woman who was killed along with five victims including her 11-month-old son and father of her child in a fiery 90mph car accident in Los Angeles last week.

The 37-year-old Los Angeles native - born Jo-Issa Rae Diop - contributed $2,500 to the GoFundMe set up by victim Asherey Ryan's family to raise $100K in order to help cover funeral expenses for the young mother.

The charitable crowdfunding cause has already well surpassed its goal totaling $160K at the time of publication as Issa was not the only celebrity who donated as filmmaker Ava DuVernay and Big Bang Theory actor Kunal Nayyar contributed $1K-a-piece.

Traveling ICU nurse Nicole Lorraine Linton, 37, was traveling at speeds of at least 90mph last Thursday when she sped through a red light and hit crossing vehicles at the busy intersection of La Brea and Slauson Avenues.

Eight-month pregnant Asherey was pronounced dead at the scene alongside her 11-month-old child Alonzo Luchiano Quintero and her unborn baby boy following the horrible crash.

The unborn child's father, Renald, was also killed in the crash after the car split in half immediately on impact, those close to the family confirmed.

Asherey, Renald, and little Alonzo were on their way to a doctor's appointment for a pregnancy check-up when Linton smashed into the car they were traveling in.

It has been recently reported that Linton - who is in custody on six murder charges -  has a 'profound'  history of mental illness and has been involved in 13 prior crashes, but was still somehow subcontracted to work in a hospital and allowed to drive.

On Tuesday, Craig Pitchford was named as another victim. Two other female victims remain unidentified.

Linton is from Houston, Texas, and was in Los Angeles working as a contractor at the Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Hospital. She was working for the nursing contractor group AMN Healthcare, which she joined in October 2020.

AMN Healthcare did not immediately respond to inquiries regarding Linton's credentials on Tuesday.

Until 2009, Linton was working as a sales manager for General Motors, according to her LinkedIn profile. She began working in healthcare in 2010 as an 'extern' at NYU, despite not completing her nursing degree in 2015.

It has been recently reported that Linton (pictured) - who is in custody on six murder charges - has a 'profound' history of mental illness and has been involved in 13 prior crashes, but was still somehow subcontracted to work in a hospital and allowed to drive

In court yesterday, her attorney said she had a 'profound' history of mental health problems in other states.

He said they would have contributed to the crash, and asked for her arraignment to be delayed until October.

She did not have drugs or alcohol in her system, and her motive for running the red light and plowing through the intersection remains unclear.

Craig Pitchford was named by his family as the fourth victim of the crash yesterday

Prosecutors also revealed in court that Linton was involved in 13 prior road accidents, including one in 2020 in which two vehicles were totaled.

The crashes were cited by The Los Angeles Times yesterday but no further details have emerged.

DailyMail.com obtained crash records from two incidents in Texas - one in 2013 and one in 2016.

In both cases, another driver rear-ended her vehicle.

The California Highway Patrol declined to provide further details of any other crash.

It remains unclear why Linton was able to work in healthcare, let alone in the ICU, with such extensive mental health problems as her attorney described.

On Monday, she sobbed in court as she was charged with six counts of murder.

'A young family was destroyed in the blink of an eye,' Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón said Monday.

'There’s catastrophic damage to the families and friends of those killed and injured.

'It’s not only a tremendous loss to their families, but to our entire community, who learned of this incredible tragedy who watched the now viral video of the collision.'

Pitchford, the fifth victim, was named by his family.

In a GoFundMe page yesterday, they said: 'On August 4th, 2022, we tragically lost Craig Pitchford, beloved Father, Grandfather and friend.

Craig was one of the victims who lost their lives in the horrific crash at Slauson and La Brea.

'We are raising funds for his burial service, as there isn’t any insurance in place. We appreciate any donation you feel touched to give.'

Two other women remain unidentified. No one from Linton's family has yet spoken out.
