High School Sports | High school football rankings Week 7, 2022: Bay Area News Group Top 25

San Ramon Valley has entered the top five in the latest Bay Area News Group high school football rankings after its victory over Foothill and McClymonds’ loss at Pittsburg.

But will the Wolves be there next week?

San Ramon Valley, now ranked fifth, travels Friday to play sixth-ranked McClymonds in one of the big games of Week 7.

Sacred Heart Prep has moved into the top 10, and Menlo-Atherton has fallen out of it.

The Bears took the biggest dip this week after they were edged 22-21 at Half Moon Bay on Friday. M-A, which has lost three in a row, fell 12 spots to No. 19.

Half Moon Bay jumped three spots to No. 16.

Lincoln-San Jose and Livermore, two of 18 unbeaten teams left in the Bay Area News Group coverage area, have entered the rankings.
